Řepková, Hana
This methodical guide is based on a synthesis of three approaches to the revitalization of panel housing – urbanist, heritage and architectural. The guide aims to contribute to increasing the lifespan of panel housing while maintaining the estates‘ key values for their residents. It provides suggestions on how best to cultivate the housing estates‘ environment and to positively influence their status within the commonly held image of inhabited landscapes as an effective part of sustainable development of the structure of settlements in the Czech Republic. The guide strives to effectuate change in societal opinion by showcasing panel housing’s domestic history, embodied values and potential for development within the international context. Aside from foreign experiences, it focuses on an original and proven domestic method of facade appearance regulation. Adherence to basic regulations for the foundation and continuous upkeep of traditional urban structures helps panel housing to become a regular part of said structures. The guide encourages searching, appreciation and protection of outstanding and original solutions. The recognition of the specifics of Czech housing estates, which the guide identifies, is to serve as a starting point for their universal acceptance and eventual heritage care.

It provides a detailed description and comparison of the vowel systems of Czech, German and English. It then focuses on connecting the graphic and the phonic aspects of these three languages and looks for differences. In the research part, the author investigated how well the pupils of two third years of the Kolín Grammar School do when it comes to the German vowel quantity and its relationship with the graphic form of the language. The research took place in the phases of pretest, intervention, posttest. The research was conducted first in one grade and then in the second to improve the intervention. During the intervention lesson the students were led, among other things, to derive a helpful pronunciation rule, according to which stressed vowels followed by at most one consonant should be pronounced long. In the German tests, numerous English interferences were noted, e.g. in the words Glas or Metall. To help detect English interference, the students also wrote a small test on English vowel quantity, which besides the interferences in German also revealed...

Comparative constructions in Spanish with regard to the acquisition of structures
POHANKOVÁ, Alžběta
This bachelor thesis focuses on comparative constructions in Spanish. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains the issue of gradation of adjectives and adverbs, distinguishes classes of comparation in Spanish (superior, inferior, and equal grade of quality) and presents the constructions in corresponding examples. The constructions are also discussed here from the semantic point of view, because in addition to the comparative meaning, they also have other secondary meanings. The practical part is analysing language levels and knowledge of comparations at individual levels. The analysis was performed using the study plan of the Cervantes Institute. According to the results of the analysis, a design of an annotation system for comparative constructions is created, as well as an annotation system of possible errors in the constructions.
