Elasticita jako určující faktor přirozené obnovy sídelní struktury
Jenčková, Barbora
The contemporary transformation of settlements and landscapes follows the transformation of lifestyle, the relationship of man to the landscape. The relationship to the soil as a source of livelihood disappears, the attitude of the inhabitants to the forms of settlements changes. Built area is expanding extensively, the scale and forms of settlement are changing, neoplasms have been written into the structure without any relation to the territory. Relations in the territory that create the properties of living structures are lost. The development of settlements in relation to the landscape recorded in the monitored period at least two problematic phases - the transformation of the land structure in the post-war period, and the last period of approximately 25 years, when there is a significant suburbanization. The way of spatial planning is signed on the form of landscape and settlement. It is therefore necessary to emphasize the creation of mutual relations, preservation of the landscape as irreplaceable value. Probably the traditional model of settlement provides a binding structure that has a sufficient elasticity for changing conditions. This hypothesis will be verified by the analysis of the functionality of the settlement structure, the case study focuses on the area of Židlochovice. The results should be compared with examples of other settlements in a similar cultural circuit.

Kucrová, Veronika ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Semotanová, Eva (referee) ; Koumar, Jiří (referee)
1 Veronika Kucrová: Proměna kulturní krajiny v zázemí hlavního města: Dolnobřežansko v 16. - 19. století Abstract Transformation of the cultural landscape in the vicinity of the capital city: Dolnobřežansko in 16th-19th century This study is dealing with the development of cultural landscape in the Dolní Břežany Estate in the early modern times, specifically from late 16th century to the middle of 19th century. The focal points of the study are three important elements: the development of the built-up areas of the selected villages, the monitoring of the transformation of the landscape out of the built-up and uninhabited areas (forests in particular), and finally the detection of agricultural and other objects in the landscape - the reason of their origin, use and potential downfall. The Dolní Břežany Estate is located 16 km south of Prague, it was established gradually starting in 14th century but its biggest growth was during the beginning of 17th century. Minor aristocratic owners were replaced by influential representatives of the Czech state (the Želínský family of Sebuzín, Michna of Vacínov) until the Prague Archbishopric became the new owner in 1713. Thanks to that, most historical written sources come from the Prague Archbishopric Archive, alternatively from the manor farm estate archive. Using the...
Evaluation and charges in the extent of non-ferest woody vegetation in landscape
Demková, Katarína ; Lipský, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Chuman, Tomáš (referee) ; Skaloš, Jan (referee)
Non-forest woody vegetation is an important landscape feature of agricultural/rural landscape. Ph.D. thesis deals with evaluation of current state of non-forest woody vegetation, historical development and changes in configuration and composition in landscape. Non-forest woody vegetation was investigated in two physical-geographical different model areas (Kutnohorsko Region and White Carpathians). The thesis is based on own data collected in the field and digitized on historical aerial photos and current ortho-photos. After that, data were analyzed in relation to natural conditions and changes of landscape structure since 50s of 20th century until present. Comparing both model areas, assumed differences in character of non-forest woody vegetation, species composition, dominated type as well as relation to habitats/locations were confirmed. However, rapid changes of landscape structure in the last 60 years were caused by the same driving forces such as re-allotment, mechanization and intensification of agriculture. After 1989, processes such extensification of agriculture and land abandonment played the main role in landscape, especially in mountain regions. The second aim of the Ph.D. thesis was to identify changes in spatial configuration of non- forest woody vegetation in two...

Kocmanová, Pavlína ; Skaloš, Jan (advisor) ; Bartoš, Michael (referee)
Diplomová práce Kolektivizace zemědělství a její promítnutí do krajiny ABSTRACT I searched changes in the cultural landscape structure in the relation with social processes in the time period 1937-2010 in my thesis. The research refers to the second half of 20th century, or more precisely, to the era of collectivization of Czechoslovak agriculture. In consequence of collectivization, the landscape was ecologically devastated and overall the nature of Czech countryside changed. Analysis of the landscape structure has form of case study of cadastral area of Široký Důl. I interpreted landscape changes from historical aerial photos and then analyzed the changes by geographical information systems. The results of those analyses are indicators (landscape metrics), by which I interpreted conditions of landscape in particular time. I confronted the changes in the landscape structure with social processes, which are described in theoretical part of thesis according to background research. Result of my thesis is general story of particular landscape, whose structure changed fundamentally in consequence of collectivization of agriculture. Key words: landscape structure, collectivization, landscape metrics, GIS, cultural landscape, aerial photos, Široký Důl
The Path Home
Hauser, Filip ; Lang, Dominik (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
The central idea of this project named “My way home” (the project’s name was inspired by Karel Václav Rais’s poem of the same name) is the work with the memory of a landscape. The project concerns a 700-metre-long area which is part of what used to be a road near Stráž nad Nežárkou. First of all, I try to return the road its original purpose. Also, I try to find out its historic foundation. Finally, I try to return the road its integrity. The road used to go from the village of Dvorce to the now cancelled Gabler’s mill (house number 98) in Stráž nad Nežárkou. The Diploma also includes an observation of the changes of the landscape near the village. The Diploma itself consists of three phases: The road, apple trees, The object.
The Analysis of land-use changes in Šumava foothills
KOTEK, Jiří
The Svatý Tomáš Highlands and the Trojmezí Highlands in the Šumava foothills were constantly settled during 13th century. Although this area is a borderland with a less favourable climate, agriculture had a significant influence on the landscape changes. However political and economic changes during the 1950´s, especially the establishment of the Iron Curtain, had impacted previous trends. Displacement of inhabitans, destruction of villages and inaccessibility of the area have restored the natural processes. The aim of this work is to describe changes of land use in The Šumava foothills with regard to nature protection and results evaluated by geographic information system technologies. From stable cadastre maps it was detected, that land use in 1st half of 19th century in the Šumava foothills was very varied, it was there existed a lot of small fields of arable soil. However the surface of arable soil diminished gradually during the time and at the present time don´t exist any more in the study area. In monitored areas in the first place grew the share of forests. The changes of management also had an impact on the size of succession areas. It was found, that changes in land use are very similar in the all monitored regions.
Analýza a návrh využití hospodářských dvorů v oblasti severního Plzeňska a jejich zapojení do kulturní krajiny. Památky hospodářské architektury Plaska a Kralovicka
Cestovní ruch a vztah zázemí k profánní hospodářské architektuře.
