Measurements of 3D Flow Field Behind the Blade Cascade SE 1050
Šimurda, David ; Luxa, Martin
The paper is concerned with measurements of 3D flow field at exit of the Blade Cascade SE1050. Data was collected using traversing device with a small five-hole conical probe. Prior to measurements of the flow exiting the blade cascade, investigations of inlet velocity profile and inlet turbulence intensity were conducted. Measurements of exit flow field were performed at design angle of incidence and at a transonic and a subsonic regime. Data analysis reveals development of distinctive vortex structures resulting from non-uniform inlet velocity profile. Origin of these structures results in increased loss of kinetic energy and spanwise shift of kinetic energy loss coefficient distribution.

Synáč, J. ; Rudas, B. ; Šťastný, M. ; Luxa, Martin ; Šimurda, David ; Šafařík, Pavel
The paperis focused on aerodynamic characteristics of the tip section of a steam turbine last stage rotor blade with an active span 12200mm (48").
Experimentální aerodynamický výzkum jako podpora při návrhu turbostrojů
Šafařík, Pavel ; Luxa, Martin ; Šimurda, David
The paper describes a role of experimental aerodynamic research oriented to the support of the design and computauion of turbomachines. The research techniques are briefly introduced. They are namely optical measurements of flow fields and pneumatic measurements by means of traversing. Results of the high-speed aerodynamic modelling of the flow past a blade cascade cascade representing a section in the balding of the last stage of a large output steam turbine are presented.
HIGH-SPEED AERODYNAMIC RESEARCH ON BLADE CASCADE REPRESENTING MIDDLE SECTION OF ROTOR BLADING OF LAST STAGE OF STEAM TURBINE OF LARGE OUTPUT
Luxa, Martin ; Synáč, J. ; Šafařík, Pavel ; Šimurda, David ; Šťastný, M.
The paper is concerned with results of an aerodynamic research on the midsection of the last stage rotor blade of a large output steam turbine. Data from optical and pneumatic measurements were obtained in a wide range of isentropic exit Mach numbers and angles of incidence. Velocity, loss coefficient and exit flow angle characteristics are analysed and discussed. Structure of flow fields are described using interferograms and schlieren pictures
Numerical modelling of the surface roughness effect on the energy losses in blade cascade
Stanislav, J. ; Příhoda, Jaromír ; Šafařík, Pavel
The work deals with the application of rough wall model implemented in the commercial code FLUENT 6.1 for the solution of subsonic flow through the blade cascade SE1050. Numerical solution is compared with experimental data and the effect of wall roughness on energy losses is estimated for the subsonic flow regime.
Transonic flow past a tip blade cascade
Luxa, Martin ; Synáč, J. ; Šafařík, Pavel ; Šťastný, M.
In this paper the results of optical measuring of tip blade cascade are presented.
Numerické modelování turbulentního proudění turbínovou mříží
Kozel, K. ; Louda, Petr ; Příhoda, Jaromír
A model of turbulent flow in subsonic and transonic regime of a turbine blade cascade using SST turbulence model is described. The numerical method based on the implicit AUSM discretization is given and numerical results for the SE1050 blade cascade are presented. The influence of the turbulence model is discussed.
Numerické řešení transsonického turbulentního proudění v turbínové mříži
Kozel, K. ; Louda, P. ; Příhoda, Jaromír
The transonic flow through a two-dimensional turbine blade cascade was numerically simulated. The mathematical model of the transonic flow is based on the implicit AUSM finite volume method and a two-equation SST turbulence model. Results were compared with experimental data
