Efficiency of selected chemical reactions on the membrane reactor
Liman, Martin ; Mirko,, Dohnal (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the efficiency of reactions happening on the membrane reactor or also known as a contactor. The theoretical part contains basic insight into the theories needed to understand chemically physical phenomena on membrane contactors. Furthermore, the theoretical part serves as a recherche for modern membrane contactor technologies, including the examples of their usage. The practical part consists of a description of the membrane contactor that is used, the methodology of the measuring and the measured data output. Afterwards, the results are being talked over and developed further to the possible use in the current technologies.

The aim of this thesis is to discuss the diffusion of noise inside the personal computer and possibilities of decrease it. The results of this thesis are presented in this work. I used the Ansys FEM program for simulation of the noise diffusion and effectivity of anti-noise equipment.
Absorption Cleaning of Flue Gases Arising from the Incineration of Wastes
Jecha, David ; Klemeš,, Jiří (referee) ; Žaloudík, Petr (referee) ; Bébar, Ladislav (advisor)
This doctoral thesis deals with potentials of methods for cleaning of flue gas from pollutants such as acidic components. Wet method of flue gas cleaning is analysed in detail with special focus on elimination of sulphur dioxide (SO2). Introduction presents advantages and disadvantages of thermal processing of waste and production of undesired pollutants. Following parts comprise facts about main pollutants produced from incineration. Legislation providing for emission of gaseous pollutants from incinerators is also given. Chapter concerning methods of pollutants elimination is mostly focused on absorption (wet and/or semidry scrubber) and adsorption methods. Several up-to-date technological procedures are mentioned; they have a multifunctional effect such as elimination of acidic components, heavy metals, polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxines and dibenzo-furanes from flue gas using single injection of suspense. Elimination of mercury (Hg) is among the technologies for heavy metal elimination which is described in detail. Main part of the thesis is related to experiments at two-stage flue gas cleaning equipment. Function of this experimental unit is described along with methods for measurement of individual quantities and detailed description of all the equipment and its components. Experimental measurements carried out at this equipment are explicated and assessed. Along with experimental work, the author has created a simulation model of wet flue gas cleaning in ChemCad programme. Particular operational parameters were tested on this model. This thesis contains results of the measurement which provide background for verification of the mathematical model. Further, the balance of heavy metals conducted on the basis of measurements in waste incinerator is displayed. Main contribution of the thesis may be summed up as follows: Author has designed and constructed experimental equipment for two stage flue gas cleaning. He also formed calculation for pressure drop of O-element prototype equipment and for packing column with FLEXIPAC structured packing. He created data file with measurements at the experimental unit. He determined temperature at outlet of a random device where liquid is injected into stream of hot flue gas. He designed a simulation model which is identical with experimental equipment and which usage enabled comparison of measured and calculated data; it also serves as a basis for industrial applications. Last part deals with creation off heavy metals balance in a case industrial waste incinerator.
Evaluation of emission measurements with respect to removing efficiency of heavy metals, especially mercury
Frýba, Lukáš ; Beňo, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is specialized on identification with issues burning waste and devices in waste incineration plants linked with them. Description of particular methods used for heavy metal removing and appreciation their effectivity. Evaluation of measurement of the emission and their confrontation with valid legislation of the Czech Republic. Design billance model of separator for heavy metal removing.
Absorption cycle in the heating industry
Pleva, Ondřej ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is to introduce technology of absorption heat pumps in various modifications. Technical design draft is created for chosen modification (single stage unit water-LiBr) and based on given parameters calculated in computing software EES (engineering equation solver) and process is explained step-by-step. Following part of thesis contains reference design draft of heat plant and this design is used to demonstrate several different options of applying absorption heat pump including version capable of providing also cooling. Those options are compared with each other from technological and economical stand point.
Creating a fluid curtain of the scrubber absorber
Straka, Ondřej ; Kalivoda, Josef (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focused on the separation of gaseous pollutants from gas mixture into absorption agent, by using absorption device. The theoretical part deals with describing absorption device in practice and characterization of chemical and physical influence on absorption process. The experimental part concerned describing the construction and properties of laboratory pilot scrubber.
Dispersion effects in high-speed optical networks
Filip, Tomáš ; Šporik, Jan (referee) ; Tejkal, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focusing on optical transmission principal, its transfer mediums and furthermore also with focusing on its advantages and disadvantages. First half of this thesis focuses on adverse influences, which affect signal transmission in optical networks, on dispersion influences, especially on Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD). Second half of this thesis deals with measuring of properties of optical fibers, largely chromatic and polarization mode dispersion, used methods and its principals. Furthermore, there are mentioned current compensation possibilities. The seventh chapter deals with optical route simulation in OptiSystem and testing chosen compensation methods for bit rate 40Gb/s. In the last chapter there are elaborated results of real optical route measurements for Masaryk University.
Biogas processing
Kudláč, Adam ; Jecha, David (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
The diploma thesis includes proposals suitable for usage of the technologies for clearing the biogas into a quality of substitute natural gas (SNG). The most suitable technology is chosen for the clearing the biogas out of the septic tanks of the laboratory for biologically decomposable waste treatment at Institute of process and environmental engineering. There is a calculation , a proposal and a realisation of the experimental unit for clearing the biogas performed.
Sorption heat pump
Veselý, Josef ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of sorption heat pumps. The theoretical part is devoted to a detailed description of the function of adsorption and absorption heat pumps. For a better understanding of the adsorption cycle is computed theoretical thermal cycle and the heating factor of zeolite adsorption heat pump are computed. The practical part is focused on the design absorption heat pump that works in conjunction with a natural gas boiler. The pump is designed for cooling flue gas condensing boiler and the possible use of thermal energy from other low-temperature source. The thesis contains a thermal calculations, engineering design and structural design of the heat pump.
CO2 removing from biogas
Kovář, Martin ; Niesner, Jakub (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
Research the Selexol, Rectisol, Fluor and Purisol technologies for the treatment of biogas to natural gas quality is the main job. The purified biogas must meet quality requirements, which sets out legislation Czech Republic. An important point is to build models of technology in the ChemCad software. Methods are analyzed with these models for the same output requirements. The result is to determine whether the technologies are suitable for biogas purification and implement, through research, simplified technical and economic evaluation.
