The solution of dynamic response of hydraulic steel structures interacting with fluid
Feilhauer, Michal ; Králík,, Juraj (referee) ; prof. Ing. Alois Materna, CSc., MBA (referee) ; Salajka, Vlastislav (advisor)
Behaviour prediction of hydraulic steel structures with the view to surrounding influences in various design dispositions is a fundamental condition for operational reliability assessment of the analyzed construction. Reliable characteristics of construction behaviour defined by the specification of its movement within changes caused by time and environmental influences is of great importance. In currently used engineering mechanics formulation it concerns setting the response of the defined construction or its part to the given time variable mechanic load. Required response values, which are necessary for evaluation terminal dispositions of capacity and usability of the construction, are trans-location and tension, or values thence derived. Calculation is basic means for response prediction of construction. The thesis presented deals with complex multi-physical behaviour problems of water supply constructions in fluid structure interaction. There are presented various approaches to calculations of static and dynamic qualities of constructions. These approaches are divided into so called “direct method”, which is based on direct connection between two physical fields and the calculation is performed by the method of final elements, and so called “indirect method” , which is based on connection of two physical fields by means of various interfaces, which are described in this thesis. In case of indirect method, the calculation of running liquid is performed by the method of final volumes and the construction calculation is performed by the method of final elements. Within the scope of this thesis, static and dynamic responses of water supply constructions have been solved with the use of the above mentioned approaches. The results of the calculations in the scope of this thesis have been compared with the findings of performed experiments. The final part of the thesis describes the results and generalized findings gathered from the tasks by various approaches.
Flow rate measurement for hydraulic turbine model tests
Neděla, Jiří ; Dokoupil, Pavel (referee) ; Machů, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with problematice of flow rate measurement for hydraulic turbine model tests. Theoretical part is devoted to literary search of flowmeters and comparison of their accuracy. The practical part deals with evaluation of measurement uncertainties during calibration of the flowmeter. It also includes verification of the measurement accuracy of the flowmeter indicated by the manufacturer.
Segner wheel
Jahn, Jan ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Fic, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on description of water turbine called the Segner wheel, which is considered as a precursor of modern water turbines. Segner’s contribution is to demonstrate an opportunity of dynamic force exerted by fluid jet. There is some historical information about his life and additional adaptations of the original invention. Wheel function analysis is based on laws of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics. The Segner wheel model is a part of this thesis. Last chapter discuses applications of the Segner wheel up to the present day.
The use of different types of turbines in small hydro power plants
Picek, Tomáš ; Polák, Martin (advisor) ; Adamovský, Radomír (referee)
This thesis deals with the development of hydropower through water motors. It contains the basic parameters of watercourses and classification of small hydropower plants. It describes the basic distribution, construction, operation principle and scope of application of the most widely used water turbine in small hydro power plants. The second part deals with small hydroelectric power Skála Hlaváček mill basin on the Pearl creek. It describes the history and location of the building power plant, hydropower potential of the Pearl creek in the area and overall economic assessment of investment in selected small hydropower plants.
The use of different types of turbines in small hydro power plants
Pertl, Lukáš ; Polák, Martin (advisor) ; Emil, Emil (referee)
The bachelor thesis starts with the theory of small hydro power plants. It is complemented by a historical overview of waterworks development with reference to the uses of various turbine types. The second part focuses on the destription of the selected location waterwork Perknov of the hydropower project. Specifications of the existing turbine are validated and compared to the specifications of another turbine type. Finally an economic evaluation and project profitability is calculated.
The use of different types of turbines in small hydro power plants
Schoř, Filip ; Polák, Martin (advisor) ; Dlabal, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is a description and evaluation of different types of turbines used in small hydropower plants from multiple perspectives. One of the aspects is the historical development from the Middle Ages to the present day, which describes the various types of turbines and future development in the use of water turbines. The thesis further discuses the various types of small hydroelectric power plants, their construction and manufacturing methods. At the conclusion of my thesis I deal with the development of small hydropower plants in the Czech Republic and worldwide. The practical part focuses on MVE Želina. There is the history of this hydropower plant, its location and description. Another part follows-up to the financial balance of the plant, where I dealt with the calculation of revenues and profitability for each period. In the end I focused on calculating the potential savings in CO2 emissions.
The pumped-storage hydro power plant Dlouhé Stráně
Jurová, Kristýna ; Roub, Radek (advisor) ; Bureš, Luděk (referee)
The Bc. thesis deals with the topic of The Dlouhe Strane Pumped-Storage Hydro Power Station ( termín viz: https://www.cez.cz/en/power-plants-and-environment/hydraulic-power-plants/dlouhe-strane.html, that is being referred as the most the most powerful pumped-storage in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis contains not only basic information about hydro energy, but also the basic classification of water turbines, a description of their work functions and usage. Further, the thesis describes the construction of the three most used water turbines. The work also mentions the basic classification of hydro power plants. The core of this work contains the issue itself of The Dlouhe Strane Pumped-Storage Hydro Power Station. The thesis mentions the difficulties with the construction process in its beginning and also other difficulties, as the construction works of the Station went along.
A study of small water power resource
Demovič, Petr ; Pěcha, Jiří (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with a concept of a small hydro power plant. The first part is focused on hydro power potential of the Czech Republic, the general theory of small hydropower plants and their division. The following part discusses about the selection of suitable localities for construction of small hydro power plant and the decision of choosing the best of them. The selected locality is described and evaluated. Subsequently, the thesis deals with the theory of water management and hydro power solution of small hydro power plant. As the next step was to design the most suitable turbine. Then the thesis characterizes the concept of electric part of the small hydro power plant and its connection to the distribution network. This part is focused on the design of the most suitable generator, compensation of reaktive powers, a concept of cabel for pulling of power of power plant a protections. The last part is about economic evaluation of the entire investment and environmental evaluation.
The projekt of the small water power station
Steidl, Adam ; Pěcha, Jiří (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with a concept of a small hydro power plant. The first part is focused on hydro power potential of the Czech Republic, the general theory of small hydro power plants and their division. The following part discusses about the selection of suitable localities for construction of small hydro power plant and the decision of choosing the best of them.
