Corrosion and Chemical Resistance of Conversion Coatings
Palková, Michaela ; Ing. Eva Novotná, Ph.D., Paed IGIP (referee) ; Tulka, Jaromír (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis was to study chemical and corrosion resistance of selected conversion coatings. The corrosion and the possibilities of corrosion protection with focus on conversion coatings on aluminum and steel surface were described in the theoretical part. In the experimental part corrosion and chemical resistance of samples without the next treatment and samples with polyester powder coating and synthetic coating were tested.
Surface treatment of roll bearings
Kubelka, Milan ; Klakurková, Lenka (referee) ; Švejcar, Jiří (advisor)
The bearings are one of the most widely used construction components enabling mutual movement of parts and at the same time transmission of interacting load. The basic requirements placed on components of roll bearings are particulary increase of contact fatigue resistance, decrease of the friction coefficient between the rolling bodies and bearing rings, increase of hardness and abrasion resistance of functional surfaces, the wear resistance, corrosion protection and finally the electrical and optical properties too. As production of bearings from materials with these attributes would be quite expensive, surface modifications are used for improving the mechanical properties. The main task of this bachelor thesis is description and evaluation of technologies suitable for surface treatment of roll bearings with increased attention to those types of surface treatment which, in cooperation with SVÚM will be studied in more detail in the experimental part of this work (especially polymer coatings, phosphate films and DLC - type coatings). The wear evaluation of different types of coatings was performed with the aid of scanning electron microscopy after the tribological testing.
Piston Rings of Modern Petrol Engines
Cupák, Václav ; Maršálek, Ondřej (referee) ; Raffai, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with issues of piston rings used in modern petrol engines. The first part is focused on describing of functions and requirements with which piston rings must deal with. Next part is aimed on shapes of piston rings. Materials from which are piston rings made of are part of third chapter. For proper function, it is important to make some surface treatment. The last chapter contains surface treatment of piston rings.
Possibilities of increasing the durability of concrete products based technologies hardening their surface
Minaříková, Kateřina ; Eger, Lukáš (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
In the last years, we focus on higher quality of surfaces in the field of vibro-pressed concrete products. Therefore, there are products with specially modified backing layer in the market where there is implemented impregnation coating on the surface that is cured by ultraviolet and infrared radiation. The primary objective of my thesis is summary of the existing knowledge about vibro-pressed concrete products that are modified by these technologies. I will especially focus on description and efficiency of using particular methods, principals of curing surfaces and other modification of concrete product’s surfaces with emphasis on its durability. There will be examined in the laboratory conditions some of the characteristics of these vibro-pressed concrete products as resistance of surfaces against water effects and chemical defrosting substances, water absorption of surfaces, abrasion resistance, slip resistance, as well as risk reduction of creating lime efflorescence on the concrete surfaces.
Modern surface treatment the body of the car
Kupčíková, Laura ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis consist of the theoretic part and the experiment. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of the surface treatment of the body car. It includes description of colours and effects of the current paint and historical development of the painting process. The experiment is processed and evaluated in the practical part. It is based on the measurement of the thickness of the colour layer by the non-destructive measurement method. The experiment researchs the development of the paint thickness depending on the time when the automobile was made. The conclusions summarize the results of the experiment and the possible direction of the development of paints in the future.
Surface melting of graphitic cast iron for hard layer preparation and its optimization
Adam, Ondřej ; Matlák, Jiří (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
The aim of bachelor thesis is description of microstructures, which were created by surface melting of ductile iron by using electron beam technology. The first part of bibliographic search deals with carbon and its effect on iron. The second part is focused on the general knowledge about cast irons, especially on graphitic cast irons. The last part of bibliographic search deals with electron beam technology. The practical part presents a microstructures, which were created by surface melting. Temperature cycles of the different material areas are described based on microstructures. In the end of bachelor thesis, there are chosen remelted layer with the best parametres and surface melting technology is optimized.
Influence of surface treatments on the quality of molded parts
Okurka, David ; Dvořák, Milan (referee) ; Hušek, Martin (advisor)
This thesis examines the influence of surface treatments on the quality of molded parts. At the beginning of this work explains why the finish and what are the current demands on the development of manufacturing technologies. It further describes the most common surface treatment of metals, which are currently very often occur. The next section is divided into forming the surface and volume and describes the different types of species-forming, such as cutting, bending, drawing, etc. At the end of the work described cooperation with the Hettich ČR, k.s. and Tokoz, a.s.
Verification of production technology of pneumatic mechanism for automatic weapon FN Minimi M249
Matějek, Martin ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the production of a part of the pneumatic mechanism of the automatic weapon simulator Minimi FN M249 from the design of the semi-finished product to the finished part, including the determining of further surface treatment. The part is made in piece production from two materials, the properties of which are further compared. This work is focused on the design of the technology of production of a component of steel material, the second variant is the production of a component of aluminum alloy. The main production technology here represents milling, the material being divided into a band saw. The bachelor thesis also contains the technological process of production.
Passport and reconstruction of the water treatment plant of the Kateřinice village
Vaníček, Petr ; Zubíček,, Vojtěch (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is Kateřinice water treatment plant technical condition assessment and ascertained malfunctions elimination project. The documentation is enclosed. Essential part of the thesis is concerned with calculations and variant solutions of the object reconstruction and water treatment technology. Technical drawings of the water treatment plant are included. All the data was processed in accordance with valid laws and standards. The water treatment plant will be restored to its functional state on the grounds of the designed solution. Therefore permanent high quality of drinking water will be guaranteed for the inhabitants of Kateřinice.
Surface treatment of metals
Hamal, Jan ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Žák, Ladislav (advisor)
This master thesis describes design of suitable surface treatment technology to get component resistant to corrosion of conventional atmosphere. Given component has a shape of pin and is made of construction steel. At the beginning, there is a theoretical study of galvanic zinc coating and galvanic surface treatment in general. Then there is analysis of damaged galvanic zinc surface and its impact of corrosive resistance of that layer with collaboration with company KOZÁK SVITAVY. Corrosive resistance of damaged zinc layer is then compared with corrosive resistance of quality zinc layer. At the end of this thesis is technical and economic evaluation.
