This bachelor thesis is dealing with issue of data backuping in production company ITW PRONOVIA, s.r.o. in automotive industry. In first part is theoretical basis of thesis where is introduced data backuping and data archiving. There is also introduced several principles of data backuping and backup devices. In second part of work there is analyzed current status of data storages and data backup. In the last part the appropriate solution is proposed based on this informations for improving the situation.

The practical part is focused on selection of an appropriate software cryptographic tool, organizational instructions and other requisites connected with implementation of security measures in an enterprise.

The history of data storage is then described, starting with punched cards and ending with the cloud. The section concerning data backup describes different types of backups along with suggested practices. The practical section of the thesis covers the analysis of the company Krako-Welding, s.r.o., the result of which is a proposal for improving practices for handling stored data.

The master‘s thesis deals with the topic of data backup from surgical procedures in the Havlíčkův Brod Hospital. Highly safe and quality work of medical staff in operating theatres goes hand in hand with highly sophisticated work of IT experts. The aim of the thesis is to provide a clear and uniform backup of data from all surgical procedures in this hospital. Such data backup can be considered as a pilot project, as no hospital in the Vysočina region has it yet. The theoretical sources in the first part of the thesis serve for the necessary understanding of the issue. The second part of the thesis analyses the current state of data backup in the company. The last part of the thesis presents its own proposal for the solution of data backup of surgical procedures in the Havlíčkův Brod Hospital according to the requirements of its employees.
