The Issue of Employment of People with Disabilities in the Czech Republic from Perspective of Employers

The aim of the thesis "The issue of employment of people with disabilities in the Czech Republic from the perspective of employers," is to determine what is the role of employers in the current institutional setting of the Czech social system of employment support for disabled people. The work is based on the theoretical framework of the rational choice theory, social preferences and the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility. The thesis analyzes the parameters of the Czech support to employers in employing persons with disabilities, the employers view on this support and the attitude of employers towards their more active involvement in the integration of persons with disabilities in the open labor market. For this purpose, the work uses a selection of completed researches and studies dealing with the issue and the research survey of employers conducted by the author of this thesis. The position of the young generation on the labour market in the Czech Republic and Spain after 2007

The thesis deals with the unemployment of young people in two selected EU countries, namely the Czech Republic and Spain. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the position of the young generation in the labor market in the selected EU countries and their comparison. The partial objective is to evaluate the currently used tools of active employment policy, identify barriers to implementation and propose possible solutions to unemployment of this target group in selected countries. The analysis focuses not only on the overall unemployment rate of the monitored age category, but also on the development of the number of unemployed by type of education and sex. Last but not least, information is also provided in relation to the unemployment rate in individual NUTS 2 cohesion regions in the above countries. The reference period is between 2007 and 2017.
The employment policy making in South Bohemia region in 2007-2013

The Bachelor´s thesis "Active Employment Policy Realization in South Bohemian region during 2007-2013" is focused on research of financial means providing for active employment policy instruments in South Bohemian region. Active employment policy is the state means realizing employment policy, which is the part of government social policy. The target is to find the employment for as many unemployed people as possible. These unemployed people may be or may not be registered at the Employment Department. Active employment policy is funded from two sources: From state budget and from European Social Fund means, which is intended to support the realization of European employment strategy. The Operation Programme Human Resources and the Employment for years 2007-2013 was the main European Social Fund programme used within active employment policy during years 2007-2013. The theoretical part describes the legislative status. The description is divided into several parts: Definitions, Active employment policy instruments complex description and Active employment policy Implementing regulations. Practical part is divided on thesis target description, methodology used, analysis, data interpretation and the discussion. The thesis target was to find out the answer for following two hypotheses: H1: Higher unemployment rate means higher use of instruments like community service and socially beneficial jobs. H2: Expense increase for Active Employment Policy reduces unemployment from long time point of view. Data analysis results and it´s statistic evaluation confirms H1 hypothesis for it´s untruthfulness for South Bohemian region. Motivation for the joining the labor market of long-term unemployed job seekers over 50 years

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between motivation and long term unemployment of people who were 50 years old and older. We looked at issues that occured during the time when people were being signed in and were linked to the tools of active employment policy. This report also focused on other apescts of unemployment, for instance motivation. The goal was to find solutions that would help ÚP ČR to provide job seekers with solutions and help them get motivated again, as well as help them become desirable candidates. The data was collected in the region of South Bohemia. Therefore, this region was introduced shortly and we described some important characteristics of its inhabitants. We evaluated the active politics of unemployment and the analyses revealed what were the shortcomings of the system and what tools were not working well. We used two different questionnaires for collecting our data: 1. A questionnaire for unemployed people over 50; 2. An online survey that looked to reveal opinions of ÚP ČR's managers via focus group.
Long-term unemployment in the Ústí region

Unemployment in Prague

The bachelor's thesis is focused on monitoring the development of unemployment in Prague for the past 10 years and it is compared with the average unemployment rate in the Czech Republic or in region. Introduction of this work will be focused on the theoretical foundations, which are necessary for processing the selected topic of this thesis and concepts associated with it. In the next section, unemployment rate will be compared with various Czech regions and different population groups. The population is divided into groups by age, gender and education. The practical part focuses on the analysis of unemployment in Prague using data from the Czech Statistical Office, which will be evaluated and its causes will be explained. The thesis will also focus on active employment policy and its positive and negative aspects. These different types of active policies will be discussed in further detail.
Communication of employment office with unemployed people

The topic of my bachelor's thesis is Communication of employment office with unemployed people. Main goal of the thesis is to find out and to describe an information service of the employment office regarding its offered services and job offers. Further there are included used ways of communication not only between employment office and unemployed people but also between employment office and employers in the thesis. The bachelor's thesis includes both theoretical and practical parts. There are described functions, problems, types and used ways of communication in the theoretical part. In addition, it is included description of differences at communication with various groups of job applicants in my thesis. Furthermore, there are described variations at communication with job applicants who lost their jobs in different periods of time. The practical part includes personal interviews with representatives of employment office of the Czech Republic and Czech Chamber of Commerce and questionnaire with unemployed people.
Evaluation of implementation of socially prurposeful jobs'program (in Prague)

The topic of the diploma thesis is "The evaluation of implementation the socially purposeful job's program in Prague". The thesis describes the public policy process including methods of evaluating public policies. Further, it elaborates active employment policy of Czech Republic, current form of the socially purposeful job's program, realization of this program and the arrangements for evaluating the programme efficiency and targeting. Evaluation of this program is just based on evaluation of efficiency and targeting which are also a research problem of the whole thesis. What is the efficiency and targeting of this program in Prague shows the findings, whether participants of this program remain on the labour market even after the end of the program, and whether the program really involves those unemployed for which it is targeted. These informations have been found from the results of the questionnaires which were filled by labour office employees who participated in this programme and from semi- structured interviews with employees of labour office managing this program and with employers who are benetifing from this program. Furthermore, the research shows problems in the realization of this program, their causes, consequences and the overall impacts of the program on society.
