The concept of design of secondary school in Barcelona responds to an existing build - up area, topography, to what was here, but sthe school system is different. The subjekt of the project is the building of a new secondary school in Barcelona, the place, which is typical with his regular piles designed by architekt Cerda. I projected the building with the respect of the shape of site. My tendency was to not only make a educational building for students, but also the cultural and social centre for local inhabitants. The site is conceived as a small city, which invites passers-by to a visit. The pleasant scale factor stayed on.

Secondary school studying in transformation of times
KASTLOVÁ, Martina
The main aim of this dissertation (thesis) is to conduct a survey of the high school education through the history and put into the context the historical development and it's infuence on the studying. I would like to subsequently confornt this piece of knowledge with the current situation. This is also a kind of probe into the students life. In more detail I'm focussed on the J.V. Jirsik's grammar school in Ceske Budejovice. This college, thanks to it's wide and diverse history and also thanks to it's well preserved archives, provides a complete view of the secondary school tuition acroos history in our region. In the theoretical part of my work I'm specifying the different problems and difficulties of the high school education, which we can see through the history and also at the present time. In the practical part I would like to verify my discovered facts and complete these with other findings. The main contribution of my work lies in presenting analysis and subsequent deduction of my findings regarding the above mentioned subject. I believe my findings could be a great help and contribution to the social pedagogy field.
Opinions of students and their parents on the prestige of various types of education in secondary schools in Písek
ZAPLETALOVÁ, Radka
This dissertation pays attention to opinions of parents and students on the prestige of various types of education on secondary schools in Písek. The dissertation presents conclusions of several Czech as well as international studies, dealing with the matter of secondary school education. Further on it describes some circumstances influencing secondary school education. It also introduces historical development and the present of Czech secondary school education and the system of secondary school education in some of other European states. It characterises various secondary schools in Písek and also looks at a secondary school student from the psycho-sociological point of view. The data obtained from a personal qualitative research are further on interpreted an evaluated and in the following discussion compared with the findings of the initial research. The most prestigious type of secondary education amongst students as well as their parents is general secondary school education followed by specialized secondary school education and finally vocational education. It is evident that the parents' evaluation differs and is also influenced by the importance for further professional life. Cultural capital also plays a very important role. Parents prefer the type of specialized secondary school education followed by a graduation exam. The prestige of all types of secondary school education has recently been decreasing especially due to the absence of entrance examinations and badly established education financing system and a high number of private secondary schools.
Multicultural Education from the Perspective of Students of Secondary Schools in South Bohemian Region
KAŠPÁRKOVÁ, Michaela
Today's society is characterized by its multicultural diversity. Within the European Union you can travel and work freely in other countries, the same is true on the other hand, when in the Czech Republic there are still more foreigners who are trying to find a new home. Because of the ever increasing cultural pluralism may arise conflicts that may arise from disparities and the unknown. It was one of the reasons why schools introduced multicultural education. This thesis is called "Multicultural Education from the Perspective of Students of Secondary Schools in South Bohemian Region" and is divided into two parts. The first is the theoretical and the second part is practical. The theoretical part discusses the basic concepts of multicultural education such as the multiculturalism, ethnic group, nation, race, prejudice, etc., without which it would be difficult to orient in the area of multicultural education. The second half of the theoretical part deals with multicultural education in Czech schools, where the emphasis is on the curricula of multicultural education which came with us, talking about what should a teacher be, who is trying to implement multicultural education, etc. The practical section discusses the stated objectives of work and mentions the methodology used in the research and describes the research file. In the practical part it presents the results of the data obtained. This work has established two goals and two research questions. The aim of this study was to determine whether and how it is implemented multicultural education in secondary schools in South Bohemia and the second objective was to determine the attitudes and knowledge of students in the first and fourth years of school with the issue of multiculturalism in our country and the world. To achieve the objectives of qualitative the research was used in which eighteen semi-structured interviews with teachers who work at eleven secondary schools in South Bohemia were carried out. Interview questions were divided into four categories for better evaluation. To achieve the second objective it was compiled the questionnaire with mainly open-ended questions which were designed for students of the first and fourth years of four year schools. The questionnaire was completed so that the data could then be used to evaluate 130 first-year students and 130 fourth grade students on eleven secondary schools in South Bohemia. The results of interviews showed that to implement the education is not an easy task even though all respondents try to fulfill the Framework educational program for secondary school, which says that multicultural education should go throughout all the subjects. Teachers in the implementation of this education face difficulties. In most cases respondents, who teach social science, agreed that they have lack of time for teaching. This is precisely this subject in which multicultural education is crucial and should be implemented. Another problem is that teachers at all or poorly attend courses related to this cross-cutting theme. It is precisely at these seminars where the teachers can draw ideas on how to incorporate multicultural education into their lessons. Also they could obtain guidance documents, which all respondents are missing, at these seminars and perhaps this is the reason why multicultural education is little integrated. The results of the questionnaires helped to clarify that multicultural education is beneficial, at least in terms of knowledge and awareness of students with this issue. The fourth grade students in this area are more familiar and have larger insight than the first-year students. In the area of attitudes minor differences are seen when students of the first and fourth grades in most cases correspond to different views and attitudes.
The issue of extremism at high schools in the District of Prachatice and subsequent preventive measures.
MARTÍŠKOVÁ, Petra
This bachelor?s thesis addresses the issue of extremism in the secondary schools in the Prachatice District and the preventative programmes that the schools implement in order to combat this social phenomenon. The objective of the thesis is to identify the attitudes and opinions of the secondary school students in Prachatice about the issue of extremism and to find out how much information the students have about this issue. The thesis also aims to determine whether there are any differences between the attitudes of male and female students with regard to extremist behaviour in society, either positive or negative. In addition, the thesis explores any differences, if any, in the knowledge and attitudes held by students about this social phenomenon on the basis of the type of secondary school they attend, specifically grammar schools vs. vocational schools. The thesis includes a description and evaluation of the effectiveness of the preventative programmes that have been implemented in the secondary schools. These programmes are evaluated both from the perspective of the secondary school students as well as from that of the non-profit organisations that prepare these programmes for the schools. The results from the research and the evaluation of the findings are presented in the conclusion of the thesis.
Bullying Prevention in Secondary Schools
KAMIŠOVÁ, Jana
Bullying is very striking trauma in the czech school system. That is why it is really necessary to inform and try to stop this social pathological behaviour. The aim of my dissertation that has theoretically-research character is to introduce to the reader all the theoretical bullying issues and the possibilities of primery, secondary and tertiary prevention and mapping the methods which are used at different kinds of schools and different regions. The theoretical part deals with the meaning of a term ?bullying? and ?the prevention of bullying? as well as primary, secondary, tertiary prevention. As a very important task is the introduction of effective principles and possibilities of bullying prevention which decrease the risk of formation and expansion of the social pathological behaviour. And along with that it explains the methods of dealing with bullying. The practical part is focused on research whose main task is finding out if schools are concientiously dedicating their time to this problem, what methods they are using and how often they control their situation as important as the work it is important if they are satisfied with the outcome of their prevention. The research pursues with a questionnaire form and compares all gained information that are published on school websites. The questionnaires are filled in by school prevention methodist or guidance counsellor of relevant school.
