Oxigen cutting of high strength steels
Lupták, Jakub ; Izák, Josef (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The work focuses on the issue of thermal cutting and its use for high-strength steels. Plasma cutting is most commonly used for cutting these materials, and this work explores the alternative possibility of cutting with oxygen. The theoretical part discusses high-strength steels, the possibilities of their thermal cutting, the selection of methods for the practical part, and their principles of operation. Specific methods for the experimental part are selected and detailed in terms of their principles of operation. The experimental part involves cutting selected samples of high-strength steels using oxygen and plasma at two different cutting speeds. Changes in hardness at the cutting edge are analyzed, and the size of the heat-affected zone for both technologies is evaluated. Finally, the suitability of oxygen cutting technology for high-strength steels is assessed.
Cutting of supporting profiles on building
Protivínský, Pavel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with technology for material cutting on the building site. Firstly, there were described different methods for material cutting, their principle, reached quality of section, demands for requirements on Occupational safety and health (OSH) and there are described different qualification of device operators. Secondly there were described specific condition in a mobile building site. Eventually, there are compared all the examined technologies after the experiment according to different criteria.
Use of modern technologies in the production of flat sheet metal parts
Kohoutová, Zuzana ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Špaček, Jindřich (advisor)
The final work elaborated in the scope of master's studies of the branch 2303T002 submitted use of modern technologies in the production of flat sheet metal parts from the material 11 373. Work is set for cold shaping of metal by means of cutting. Production on sequence shearing tool is based on series 350 000 pieces per year. Universal hydraulic press CUPS 63 DEU with shearing force 630 kN is selected for realization. Work is also focused on the production of the same components using plasma, laser and water CNC equipment and the subsequent economic evaluation of all variants of the production. In enclosure there is drawing documentation for cutting tool.
Production of sample of the plasma cutting machines
Klepárník, Ivo ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The main focus of this thesis is on plasma cutting. In this thesis are considered the pros and the cons of plasma cutting technology. Furthermore it focuses on the construction of a plasma cutting machine and the selection of appropriate components for positioning as well as cutting. It concludes with the general problematic of construction of such a machine and also a detailed technological process of manufacturing two components.
Manufacturing technology of the distance washer
Dvořák, Jiří ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
This master’s thesis has been elaborated as a part of master’s studies of engineering technology M2I-K, major in M-STM – Engineering technology and industrial management and deals with the problem of a transition to a self-production of previously purchased distance washers. Distance washers were purchased in six different types of similar shape, each type in four different thicknesses. One of these types was chosen as a representative for this master’s thesis. We shall explore the possibilities of self-production with the emphasis on economical validation of the transition. The distance washer is a flat part, the intermediate being sheet metal. Technologies considered for manufacturing the washers correspond to the technical facilities and equipment available at the production hall of the company this project is planned for. The company possesses technology for CO2 laser cutting, cutting by CNC punching machine and cutting in the punching tool. To provide a complex overview we shall also enquire into cooperated technologies such as water jet and plasma cutting, oxy-acetyleny cutting and CNC working. All options are evaluated with regard to the production expenses and lead to a most economically plausible method of manufacturing or, if need be, give reasons for going back to purchasing the part from the current supplier.
Manufacturing possibilities of motorcycle brake wheel
Rozum, Josef ; Dohnal, Ivo (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a variant solution of mass production of motorcycle brake wheel. These are part of rotating component of large diameter and small thickness made up mainly of carbon steel. The thesis presents methods for the production of unconventional machining technologies and methods of molding. As appropriate variants were selected technologies of laser cutting, water jet cutting, plasma cutting, blanking and fineblanking. The individual methods are described and evaluated their suitability for production. For fineblanking method which seems to be optimal is indicated the production process.
Cutting beams technologies
Kocman, Luděk ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The diploma´s thesis deals with cutting beams technologies. It shows the current knowledge of these cutting methods, their possibilities and applications. The practical part rates benefits of replacement water jet with laser from economic and technological perspective.
Proposal for the production of variants of flat sheet metal parts with holes
Kohoutová, Zuzana ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Špaček, Jindřich (advisor)
The final work elaborated in the scope of bachelor studies of the branch B2307-00 submitted proposal of variants for production for flat sheet steel parts with holes from the material 11 373. Work is set for cold shaping of metal by means of cutting and production by means of plasma CNC machine. Production on sequence shearing tool is based on series 150 000 pieces per year. Shearing machine S250 (manufacturer Šmeral Brno a.s.) with shearing force 2500 kN is selected for realization. Work is also focused on the production of the same components (valve) using a CNC plasma equipment and the subsequent economic evaluation of both variants of the production. In enclosure there is drawing documentation for cutting tool.
Plasma cutting by TransCut 300.
Bergauer, Radek ; Hála, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thermal parting by plasma is progressive technology of material cutting. There is a new method based on the plasma stabilization by the steam, beyond common systems with gas stabilization. The potentialities of cutting by steam stabilized plasma are tested and the results are compared with regular gas plasma in this diploma thesis.
Suggestion of convenient technologies of production for submitted flat sheet metal part
Chaloupková, Lucie ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Špaček, Jindřich (advisor)
The project is elaborated in frame of engineering studies branch 2303T002. The project is submitting suggestion of convenient technologies of production for submitted flat sheet metal part 11 375. There are proposed a number of variants of production method, namely: production on sequence shearing tool, production by means of plasma machine, laser machines and machines for watejets cutting. Particular part is designed for the production quantity of 380 000 pieces per year. Based on the literary study of the shear and calculations, there were designed shearing tool for given part. For this tool the press CDCH 3000 P was selected (producer HESSE+CO Maschinenfabrik GmbH), with nominal force 3 000 kN. In the work there are included necessary calculations for all variants including technological and economical evaluation.
