Analysis of production and consumption of electricity in Czech republic

This master thesis is divided into two parts. First part focuses on production and consumption of electricity in the Czech republic, describing sources of the production and their progress since 1990, considering also the main electricity consumers. The end of the first part focuses on the Box-Jenkins methodology, time series of electricity consumption between 1981 and 2008 are created as well as forecasted up to 2011. The second part of this thesis describes the cluster analysis. This is used for finding similarities of the 27 states of the European Union. Cluster analysis is applied for years 1990 and 2007, for both electric power production and electric power consumption.
Competition and the national champions in globalization primarily in terms of the situation in the Czech Republic

This thesis defines and analyzes the existing rules of procedure and legislation to protect competition in the principle of de lege lata in the Czech Republic with regard to the operation of national champions and marginally in terms of policy, national champions in Europe, analyze the status of the principle of national champions and classified in the context of existing conditions with global effects in the field, arguments concerning the existence and status of national champions in the competition (de lege lata versus de lege ferenda) in terms of various aspects of their responsibilities. With regard to the objective of work was dealing with the issue of regulation of irregular acquisition of electric power in the context of the possible advantage of champion and the emergence of any injury to other competitors or consumers as a result of this advantage. The aim of this work is to describe the regulation of de lege lata in the Czech Republic on irregular acquisition of electric power and showing a solution and to answer the question of whether the change de lege ferenda may remove any harm other competitors or consumers.
Electricity Market in the Czech Republic, its definition

This bachelor thesis deals with the characterization of the Electricity Market in the Czech Republic and its definition. The main part of the thesis is systematically divided into three chapters, where the first chapter addresses the theoretic framework of market definition and marketing distinctiveness in the Electrical Power Engineering Industry. The second chapter approaches the practical part of the thesis wherein the theory of market definition is applied to the Electricity Market in the Czech Republic. In the process, an in-depth definition of individual market participants, as well as of individual types of electricity deals, is -- among many others -- carried out as well. The third chapter focuses on the definition of the market product, i.e. electricity, and its marketing specifics.
Alternativní technologie užité v energetickém průmyslu po vyčerpání zásob ropy a zemního plynu ve světě

Cílem této práce je informovat o možných náhradních technologiích výroby elektrické energie využitelných po vyčerpání zásob ropy a zemního plynu ve světě a určit, zda disponují dostatečným potenciálem pro úplné nahrazení těchto fosilních paliv v elektrárenství. První část je úvodem do problematiky, druhá popisuje stručně jednotlivé technologie, zmiňuje jejich ekologické a ekonomické aspekty a třetí zmiňuje jejich odhadovaný potenciál a popisuje možný vývoj budoucnosti.
Critical analysis and comparison of energy policy in Czech republic and Austria

Hlavním tématem práce je analýza a komparace energetické politiky v České republice a Rakousku. V první části je rozebrána problematika přírodních zdrojů jako ekonomického statku a nastíněny různé pohledy na jejich vyčerpatelnost. Ve druhé části se věnujeme komparaci vládních dokumentů v oblasti energetické politiky obou zemí. Jsou zde představeny základní principy a cíle, kterých chtějí vlády v budoucnosti dosáhnout. A konečně třetí část práce se věnuje analýze současné situaci na energetickém trhu s akcentem na elektrickou energii, přičemž je zde naznačen možný vývoj na společném (hypotetickém) česko-rakouském trhu s elektřinou.
