Design of flying rotary shears
Tulis, Tomáš ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Omes, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to design flying rotary shears for metal cutting at high speed. The shears are a part of a rolling mill where they are used to cut faces and ends of the simple sections, i.e. rounds or squares. In case of the malfunction of the rolling mill, the shears can be used for scrapping the simple sections. A technical report with function destription of the machine as well as machine design according to specified parameters and control calculations are an integral part of the thesis. The required design documentation is included.
Film Editing and Narratology
KAVKA, Vojtěch
This bachelor work deals with theory of narration in the film art, cut composition and their interrelationship. Concretely, this work is based on David Bordwell´s narration theory. Film cut possibilities are explained in conjuction with this theory. These possibilities are used for method exploration of characters introducing and their function in the whole film structure. The last part of this work is based on previous parsing of chosen characters from selected two-part film by director Quentin Tarantino whose narration style and the way of formation are described by this analysis.
Production of rack moulding
Repatý, Michal ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Žák, Ladislav (advisor)
The paper evaluates technological, economic and construction aspects of the component production and the design of the tool serving for large-scale production of the S355MC steel rack component. Use of a progressive tool combining cutting and bending operations in four steps has been decided as the most appropriate according to literature study. Based on the need of production of two plane-symmetrical pieces at a time, the tool will produce both pieces simultaneously, which is economically advantageous. The tool is designed for use on the Arisa 630t mechanical press. Material will be winded off the roll, flattened and pushed into the tool by a precision feeder. The total cost of production of the component was set at 18.80 CZK.
Lisure time activities for children and teenagers in the village of Dřevčice (Information video)
Sládek, Filip ; Jiroušková, Ivana (advisor) ; Lustig, Stanislav (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to produce a video and a presentation outlining possibilities for leisure-time activities for children and adolescents in Drevcice. As part of the thesis, a draft and a shooting script were created, and then the video was shot based on the script Pinnacle Studio Ultimate version 14 and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, respectively, were used for this. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with Pinnacle Studio, its development, especially in comparison to other selected editing programs, such as Adobe Premiere and Nero Video. Furthermore, the thesis compares visual presentation techniques witha view to creating PowerPoint presentations. The final part of the thesis describes the practical application of both the video and presentation created.
Summer camp Nové Město na Moravě
Duchek, Michal ; Jiroušková, Ivana (advisor) ; Maliňáková, Gabriela (referee)
This bachelor's work was created and processed as a presentational video-programme, which shows the whole course of the summer camp, which took place in Nové Město na Moravě. In the presentational video-programme the editing programme Pinnacle Studio 14 and Microsoft Office Power Point were used. I created this video-programme according to the theme, content script and technical script. The theoretical part of my bachelor's work introduces the general view of the summer camp, how the summer camp looked like, what was the daily routine in the summer camp, what kind of programme was prepared for the children to fill up their time in summer camp fully. Furthermore the theoretical part's emphasis is on the introduction of used technology and on the evaluation of knowledge. Another theme is the introduction of some news and innovations in the programme Pinnacle Studio 14 and the preparation before using this editing programme. The practical part is directly aimed at the presentational video-programme. In one point of the practical part, I tried to process the research in the form of a questionnaire to find out the emotions of the children and their experience of the summer camp. Finally, I apply myself to the description of gained experience and to the evaluation of observations during the recording.
APPLICATION OF NONLINEAR EDITING METHODS IN TELEVISION NEWSCAST
Bančanský, Andrej ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Šmíd, Milan (referee)
This work studies the influence that non-linear editing of visual materials and usage of digital news production system have on the final form of news programmes. I also compare these advanced technologies with the older linear editing and analog playout, illustrate it by describing the principles of both methods and explain it on a hypothetical example. Two chapters are devoted to the integration of digital archives and graphics tools. The examined period used for comparison of new and old technologies is the week from 2 to 8 April in 2010 and the same week a decade earlier. The news programme examined is Udalosti on Czech television. The aim is to point out how the technical possibilities can change the workflow and form of newscast, not just in theory but also practically.
On the cutting geometry and kinematics of the arthroscopic forceps part
Pospíchal, Oldřich ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This Thesis presents a design innovation in arthroscopic forceps. Based on surveying the subject-matter literature on arthroscopic surgery of the knee, design changes are proposed to alter the cutting geometry of the functional end of the instrument to improve its utility. The proposed changes are imple-mented in a prototype, which is then compared with the current design. The comparison is made by testing the functioning of the instrument and the force required to shear the test material.
Forming Technology of Thin Sheets
Musil, Zbyněk ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with technology of mechanical working of the sheetmetals by cutting for rotary and non-rotary single parts. The first part deal with common dissertation about surface mechanical working, mainly about cutting and meaning of cutting gap in accordance with final cutting. The second part deals with transfer of the new pieces of knowledge from foreign technical literature of surface mechanical working. In the last part there is done an aplication on the particular component.
Montage of a short film
Rešovská, Barbora ; Truhlář, Filip (advisor) ; Mezuláník, Radek (referee)
The bachelor thesis Montage of a short film deals with the issue of editing as an instrument of the film language, which is used by an author to pass the information which supports general impression and understanding of the film. The thesis analyses the aspects which need to be considered during pre-production and filming, so that the final communication with the audience reaches desired effect. Apart from that, the thesis describes the rules which are necessary to be followed during the editing process as well as it classifies the types of montage. The analytical part demonstrates the usage of described rules and methods in practice. The goal is to evaluate how the film communicates with the audience through the montage.
History of film post-production
Mencl, Tomáš ; Truhlář, Filip (advisor) ; Mezuláník, Radek (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the history of post production in film. The theoretical section describes the development of sound, recording, cutting and general film editing worldwide. It deals with both technological and methodological development. It provides a clear overview of the history of film which is relevant to the whole world and analyzes it with regards to the events that affected it. The practical section then describes the process of realizing videos reporting on interesting places around Prague. These videos are used as the main informative source in our project TruePrague, which is designed for foreign tourists who wish to experience the city in a nontraditional way. This section also includes technical and financial comparison between analog and digital film recording medium.
