Kubečková, Jana ; Kupková, Lucie (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
Evaluation of suburbanization in Prague's hinterland - influence on landuse, landscape stability and structure Abstract The aim of this study is to evaluate the background of suburbanization in Prague, to evaluate the development of landscape, landscape structure and landuse. The first part of this work is devoted to analysis of domestic and foreign literature, which deals with suburbanization and evaluation of landscape structure. Another part is devoted to practical evaluation of the landscape using air photos and satelite pictures and orthophotos in three cadastral in 1994, 2004 and 2007. It concerns the cadastral Šeberov, Hole u Průhonic and Újezd. The evaluations are based on selected factors. It is found that the proportion of buildings and vegetations is increasing all the time and also found that for example scrub and forests were protected from new development. Furthermore, the most significant changes in land use were described and the landscape structure was evaluated according to selected factors. The outputs of this work were maps of land use in different years, maps of stable und unstable areas in different periods, maps of vegetation changes and tables summarizing the results of the evaluation parameters of the structure. Keywords: suburbanization, landscape structure, landuse, patch,...
Collectivization of agriculture and its projection to the landscape. Case study of cadastral area Široký Důl
Kocmanová, Pavlína ; Skaloš, Jan (advisor) ; Bartoš, Michael (referee)
Diplomová práce Kolektivizace zemědělství a její promítnutí do krajiny ABSTRACT I searched changes in the cultural landscape structure in the relation with social processes in the time period 1937-2010 in my thesis. The research refers to the second half of 20th century, or more precisely, to the era of collectivization of Czechoslovak agriculture. In consequence of collectivization, the landscape was ecologically devastated and overall the nature of Czech countryside changed. Analysis of the landscape structure has form of case study of cadastral area of Široký Důl. I interpreted landscape changes from historical aerial photos and then analyzed the changes by geographical information systems. The results of those analyses are indicators (landscape metrics), by which I interpreted conditions of landscape in particular time. I confronted the changes in the landscape structure with social processes, which are described in theoretical part of thesis according to background research. Result of my thesis is general story of particular landscape, whose structure changed fundamentally in consequence of collectivization of agriculture. Key words: landscape structure, collectivization, landscape metrics, GIS, cultural landscape, aerial photos, Široký Důl

The Methodology of Concept of Landscape Layout for Protection and Regeneration of Cultural, Historical and Natural Values
Kučera, Petr ; Flekalová, Markéta ; Trpáková, Lenka ; Sedláček, Jozef ; Matějka, Daniel ; Lacina, Darek
The methodology is focused on the formulation of requirements of Ministry of Culture, integral part while creating one of the three basic concepts of the current zoning plan: urban design, landscape layout and concept of technical infrastructure. The concept of landscape layout is based on solving conflicts and problems in the area, which arose due to discrepancies between primary, secondary and tertiary structure of the landscape. The methodology is aimed to find tools for the restoration of cultural, historical and natural landscape values.

Analysis of landscape changes during the complex landscape management
HEJMAN, Martin
This diploma thesis was written to analyze and evaluate the changes of the landscape in selected cadastral communities with a finished complex landscape management. The analysis was completed in four time periods. It included a historical time period in 1952, a period before the landscape management, a period during the designing of landscape management and the present condition of the landscape. Changes that appeared in the landscape were evaluated for land use, the permanent landscape structure, the density of the road network and ecotones. According to the results of the diploma thesis it is possible to find out how the complex landscape management project for individual studied areas contributed on the progress of the changes of the landscape.
The change of the landscape structure due to land adjustment
HEJMAN, Martin
In this bachelor thesis I, the author, concentrated especially on the comparison and assessment of changes in the landscape structure in a chosen cadastral community with the complex land adjustment. Several time periods have been compared. I have been dealing especially with the analysis of the landscape structure before the land adjustment, during the project and then during the implementation. I have used parameters such as land use comparison, comparison of permanent landscape structure and traffic roads density. As an addition I have analysed the historic state of the landscape in 1952. The detailed analysis shows the way of development of the landscape structure in the chosen cadastral community and evaluates the impact of the project of the complex land adjustment and realization of the project elements on the structure of the landscape.
Integrative management of nature conservation in Šumava - case study of Lipno nad Vltavou and Kovářov
FLEISCHMANNOVÁ, Iveta
This thesis deals with current issues in the field of nature conservation, t. i. landscape fragmentation due to transport infrastructure in selected model areas in the Czech Republic. The project also evaluates the issue of landscape structure and its development with a focus on individual landscape elements and their characteristics. The thesis focuses on the impact of landscape fragmentation on dimensionally small organisms. Model locations are cadastral areas of two popular tourist destinations in the South Bohemian Region at Lipensko site. The target organisms were invertebrates, common representatives of families Carabidae and Formicidae. Occurence of those species is typical for these areas. Landscape structure of the two areas and its changes during a period of sixty years has been defined by analyzing the document. Existence of suitable habitat for various kinds of target species was calculated through Meff index. Obtained values represent a numerical expression of the existence of suitable areas for the studied organisms in both locations. Interviews conducted in model areas also pointed out to a very low public awareness of the issue of landscape fragmentation.

Development of Land Cover Structure and Proposal for Using Indicators of Landscape Structure for Landscape Planning in the Cadaster of Olešnice near Trhové Sviny (S.Bohemia, Czech Republic)
LECHNER, Jan
Aims: (1.) to evaluate the historical development of a selected area, using certain indicators computed by Patch Analyst and Fragstas, (2.) to critically evaluate the possibility of using these indicators for landscape planning, (3.) to define the main factors driving the historical changes of landscape structure and to characterize changes in landscape function, and (4.) to propose an improvement of the current state of the area. Map layers including current and past landscape structures were produced using ArcGIS 9.2. Proposed have also been extreme variants of land use, its variants with an increased occurrence of shrubs, and layers showing crops cultivated in the area in the years 2003 - 2009. Some metrics were computed simultaneously by Patch Analyst and Fragstats and the outputs of both programs were compared. The data obtained were treated using STATISTICA 8.
Landscape Development and Spatial Structure analysis of the Olešnice Cadaster
LECHNER, Jan
The aim of my bachelor thesis was mapping of the land cover in Olešnice cadaster and analysing its progression in the years 1949 {--} 2005. Changes of the structure of the landscape and history of the area that led to landscape change were analyzed. There were used methods of geographic information systems. These indices were used for analysis of changes of land cover: Shannon´s diversity index, coefficient of ecological stability, landscape similarity index, index of change and index of progression. The result of this study is the discovery of relative high values of The Shannon´s diversity index and coefficient of ecological stability. It says that in Olešnice there is high quality of the environment. The dominating trend was land consolidation between the years 1949 and 1987 and turning fields to grasslands, between the years 1987 and 2005.
