Výběr starých stromů meruněk v obci Velké Pavlovice
Kučerová, Radka
This thesis was tasked in the location to choose and describe apricot trees older than 40 years. Assess the health of trees, observe phenophases flowering and ripening fruits inclucing pomological description. For most promising trees in terms of age and vitality remove grafts for further propagation and conservation. Part of it was on to determine their coordinates GPS and introduce the map. The literary section was described species Prunus armeniaca L., were characterized traditional varieties. It also describes the history of cultivation of apricots in this area, apricot breeding and conservation of genetic resources. Practical work describe climatic conditions of the place, includes a description of 61 trees, a description of the phenological stages of flowering and ripening, description pomological and growing characteristics and evaluation of vitality trees. Based on the characteristics and outcomes were selected trees for sampling grafts, and a further propagation and were planted 106 apricot trees from 28 clones for preservation conservation on farm. All trees were localized GPS coordinates and place on a map.
The Meat Utilization of Rabbit Breed Czech Solver
PRAVDOVÁ, Lenka
This master's thesis focuses on the utilization of the Czech Solver, a Czech national rabbit breed, which is registered in The National Programme on Conservation of genetic resources of plants, animals and micro-organisms for Food and Agriculture. The Czech Solver was originally invented to be able to confirm or disprove the purebred origin of the tested animal. This feature is useful for breeders so that compensates for low meat performance breed. Fertility monitored breeding is less than the average fertility medium breeds, among that is the Czech Solver sorted, and significantly lower than the fertility of broiler rabbits. Surveyed individuals have achieved monthly weight gain sampler breeds of rabbits, but fattening period to 2.70 kg live weight ranged from an average of 105 days for semi-intensive rearing system in cages to 135 days at a traditional pens housing system farming, which is at least 27 days longer than the period of fattening broiler rabbits. Average growth rates were observed in the amount of 19.7 g in traditional breeding and 20.6 g in semi-intensive farming. Because the rabbits were slaughtered when reaching 2.70 kg live weight, were at abattoir analysis revealed no statistically significant differences between males and females or between traditional and semi-intensive farming. Slaughter analysis confirmed the breed Czech Solver average percentages of the intermediate part, fore and hind parts of the carcass and a higher proportion of kidney fat compared to other breeds of rabbits included in the genetic resources and compared with broiler breeds.
Genetic diversity of chosen horse breeds
JANKOVSKÁ, Tereza
The objective of the thesis is to clarify the findings about genetical biodiversity of horses, evaluation of the diversity and description of current state of genetic resources preservation. Firstly, the history is described, domestication of horses, breeds and biodiversity. From the genetic point of view, the thesis contains description of the genetical diversity, microsatellites, markers and mitochondria. There are described genetic sources and their preservation. Current quantities and thein progress are also mentioned.
Cultivation of grapevine in conditions in vitro
Faltus, Miloš ; Skala, Ondřej ; Bilavčík, Alois ; Zámečník, Jiří
Grapevine is a traditional crop in the Czech Republic, especially in the South Moravia region. It is a vegetatively propagated crop; hence vineyards are endangered by abiotic and biotic stress influence. The risk of plant damage due to frost and pest influence occurs in the field conditions according to season and locality. Cultivation of grapevine in conditions in vitro eliminates the risk. Higher utilization of the method is limited by sensitivity of some genotype to in vitro conditions. This methodology solves these problems and describes material introduction into in vitro conditions, explants multiplication and slow growth condition establishment. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic is the user of this methodology and it will utilize it in the framework of “National Programme on Conservation and Utilization of Plant, Animal and Microbial Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture”.

Grapevine cryoconservation
Faltus, Miloš ; Kotková, Renata ; Bilavčík, Alois ; Zámečník, Jiří
Storage of grapevine germplasm is endangered by biotic and abiotic stressors in the field conditions, and it is connected with the risk of valuable accession loss. Cryoconservation is a method which eliminates the risk and makes a safe long-term storage of plant germplasm possible. Cryoconservation method is based on storage of plant material at a temperature of liquid nitrogen when all processes are practically stopped but the viability of plant material remains. This methodology describes preparation of plant explants before cryoconservation, apical shoot tip dehydration by cryoprotectants, procedure and principles of long-time plant storage and plant recovery for evaluation of explant survival and regeneration. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic is the user of this methodology and it will utilize it in the framework of “National Programme on Conservation and Utilization of Plant, Animal and Microbial Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture”.

Genetics resources of spelt and their use and potential for organic farming in Europe
HŮDA, Petr
The diploma thesis deals with problems of available genetic resources of spelt(Triticum spelta L.) in Europe, their structure at the European level, including the spread of cultivation of spelt, varieties and development of spelt plantations in European countries. The work presents evaluation of small parcel of land experiments conducted on certified organic land in the Czech republic and Austria with a focus on morphological, biological, economic and quality characters in landraces of spring spelt. In Europe not only spelt is grown in organic farming, but with respect to the assignment of the work was mainly just data from organic farming statistics used to present the results of this work. The results of this work is apparent steady state of spelt plantations in Europe, the availability of genetic resources of spelt, spelt suitability for cultivation in organic farming system and its potential for multiple uses in the food industry, especially for the production of organic products.
The utilization of the Czech Solver, the rabbit breed, in Czech Republic
PRAVDOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis focuses on the utilization of the Czech Solver, a Czech national rabbit breed, which is registered in The National Programme on Conservation of genetic resources of plants, animals and micro-organisms for Food and Agriculture. The Czech Solver, differ other rabbit breeds, is not used for meat or pelt production. It was originally invented to be able to confirm or disprove the purebred origin of the tested animal, hence the name solver. In the genetic code of Czech Solver's fur, four out of five alleles are recessive, which enables the animal to determine the purebred pedigree of a different rabbit breed when the two individuals are crossbred. It is described the required exterior of the Czech Solver is described and the breed is compared to other foreign breeds of the same genetic code. The work includes legislature, organization structure, conditions and possibilities of gaining a financial support for pure breeding of this breed, as well as suggests solutions how to increase the Czech Solver population.
Structure of genetics resources and the actual use of spelta (\kur{Triticum spelta} L.) in the Czech Republic
HŮDA, Petr
The work is dealt with the analysis of the structure of genetic resources of spelt (\kur{Triticum spelta} L.), then the current state of cultivation and utilization of this cereal. The review of literature focuses on the orign, distribution, agricultural engineering and breending programmes of spelt. In the Czech Republic spelt is usually grown in organic farming. Data from the statistics of organic farming and data from the database EVIGEZ are used to present the results of this work. The results of this work show an obvious increase of production areas, spelt production and increased interest in products of this crop.
