Vysoké školy ekonomického typu v různých zemích světa a možnosti kontaktů

Práce analyzuje možnosti kontaktů a zapojení se do činností na vysokých školách ekonomického typu v ČR i v zahraničí na příkladu VŠE, škol aliance CEMS a jedné mimoevropské univerzity. Dále porovnává výuku přemětu informatika na vzorových školách a navrhuje možnou strukturu studentské konference na Fakultě managementu.

Central African Music

In my bachelor thesis I studied how harmony, rhythm and forms can apply in ceremonial music in Central Africa, forms and rhythms that we can find in European music also but somehow different. Firstly, I spoke about the Geographical area in Central Africa, which is divided in latitudes. And how in these latitudes since there were boundary marks, political territories involved. These territories were French Equatorial Africa, the Belgian Congo and Ruanda - Urundi, Uganda and Tanganyika. Secondly, I speak about ceremonial music, how music, dance and drama come together. It is very strange to notice that in some of their languages they use only one word for music, dance and drama. I moved through healing, initiation, birth, marriage, hunting, and New Year and new moon ceremonies. Furthermore, one of the most interesting parts of my thesis is the "Talking Drum", a drum that can announce important news to the tribes. For me of course is very unique but it is normal if we consider that some of these tribes have until nine pitch levels in their speech. One of their special elements is rhythm. African hemiola style is a style that we know from early European music. Considering harmony the most interesting is "hocketus", a technique that can be described by breaking up the melodic flow into interrupted (hiccupped)...

Content optimization of ICT knowledge tests in terms of current requirements for students

This bachelor's thesis is focused on optimizing the content of information literacy tests regard of requirements on university students. The thesis includes analysis of internation requirements ECDL on basic level and qualitative investigatoin by interview with teacher at university. The collected data servers as a base for creating new or modifying existing tasks for student testings. Tasks are not assembled into fixed versions of test, but they are flexible for assembling into random versions of tests. Thesis also include testing two variants of test on a selected group of students, but not with IT specialization.

Importance of communication elements for management

This thesis deals with the importance of communication elements for managerial activities. It focuses on the various forms and types of communication, identifies the specific elements that occur in the communication process of managers and determines the specific communication barriers that managers face. Formally, this thesis is divided into two parts. The first part consists of the theoretical background and the current state of the problem and the following part contains the own work based on primary research. Data for the research have been obtained from selected respondents who have participated on the survey. Subsequently, findings have been evaluated in order to determine the importance of the managerial communication elements to their work, meaning and use forms of communication, content of communication as well as communication channels.

Java in corporate environment

This thesis deals with the development of the program, which is used for sale of medication. The theoretical part is divided into five parts. First, there is an introduction of object-oriented programming globally as a whole. The following section concerns with Java programming language. The emphasis is put on specific features of this language and basic syntax. The chapter also includes objects and their basic principles of use. Next part specializes in SQL. and describes the basic clauses. Chapter UML is mentioned just partially. The main focus is on different perspectives of UML. In last part there is a division of companies based on legal form, including the description of each type. The basis of the practical part is to create a program code according to the assignment. Initially, a profile of the company, for which the program has been created, is introduced including the specifications and their requirements. Then the proposed solution is described. In the technical part a preparation of development environment is elaborated, which is followed by a detailed description of the functioning of the program. The end of the practical part is dedicated to a description of individual classes, in which their functionality is gradually explained. The result of the thesis is the output data written to the file. This file is used by the company to promote sales.

Brownfields and Tourism Development - Visitors´ Preferences Exampled on Brno City

The article deals with issue of brownfields regeneration with special attention to brownfields redevelopment in tourism and leisure time activities. With connection to the theoretical discussion, there are presented the results of the field research with visit ors of the selected case study areas located on the territory pf Brno City (Czech Republic). The objective of this questionnaire survey was to identify the answer to the question how the new brownfield use in for tourism is perceived among visitors and ide ntify potential of the different types of brownfields from visitors ’ perspective. The results show the strong support for future housing utilisation, because regeneration of abandoned and neglected locations for housing needs was discussed among the visit ors the most intensively.

Koncept spolupráce podniků a vysokých škol

Diplomová práce se zabývá vztahy mezi podniky a vzdělávacími institucemi týkajících se vzdělávání a budoucího uplatnění studentů na trhu práce. Cílem je navrhnout koncept spolupráce podniků a škol, který by komplexně tyto vztahy pokrýval. Práce definuje předpoklady fungování potřebných procesů v rámci firmy, které jsou ukryty v práci oddělení Human Resources. Na těchto základech práce definuje cíle firem pro spolupráci se školami a navrhuje programy a aktivity, které tuto spolupráci určují. Práce zároveň mapuje předpoklady na straně škol, přínosy a klíčové prvky spolupráce.

Význam využití informací v případech globálního terorismu

Práce seznamuje s problematikou globálního terorismu, jeho formami, příčinami a důvody vzniku, včetně trendů a forem jeho realizace. Dále se zabývá jednou z klíčových forem boje proti tomuto fenoménu a to zpravodajskými službami. Práce poukazuje především na obecné principy fungování zpravodajských služeb, strukturu jejich činnosti a na problematiku práce analytických pracovníků, na nichž leží hlavní tíha činnosti zpravodajských služeb. V poslední části teoretického úvodu se zabývám problematikou dezinformací jako formy manipulace, kterou využívají mocenské či teroristické struktury k prosazení svých cílů. V praktické části je záměrem vytyčit hlavní příčiny a provést analýzu vzniku událostí 11. září 2001. V další části ukazuje práce praktickou aplikaci dezinformační kampaně a její důsledky včetně výkladu modelů komunikace v klasických sítích a v sítích typu ?malý svět?.

Visualization Support in Sefl-Service Business Intelligence Tools - a SAS Visual Analytics and IBM Cognos Analytics Comparison

The thesis deals with problematics of tools marked as Self Service Business Intelligence (SSBI) which is paid close attention by its users as well as producers due to expected progressive growth of this trend. Two products are evaluated: SAS Visual Analytics and IBM Cognos Analytics, both tools are evaluated by their extent of user´s autonomy and support of data visualization. Basic principles and concepts connected to the area of business intelligence are defined in theoretical part of the thesis. The problematics of data visualization is introduced and trend of self-service business intelligence is discussed with analyzing its benefits as well as restrictions. Technological factors which helped to fast development of SSBI are mentioned as well. A methodology has been created within practical part of the thesis. It is enforceable for any other tool from the family of SSBI and it is possible to assess the extent of support within observed categories through this methodology: Using information, Creation of information, Creation of sources and Visualization. A set of criteria on basis of which the evaluator can create evaluation form corresponding to his/her needs was defined for each of the stated categories. Usability of the methodology is illustratively demonstrated at mutual comparison of chosen modules of both tools while those parts are sufficiently described before the evaluation itself.
