Proposal of Method for the Administration of Logistics Centres in the Conditions of the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with facility management. The first part handles facility management as such, its nature, basic concepts, historical development, instruments, ways of providing services and participants. Level of provided services in the Czech Republic is analyzed. Based on received knowledge of the field the other part is focused on detailed specification of facility management services provided in the area of logistic centers management. On the example of individual services there are described differences in management of logistic centres and possible solutions of these situations. The benefit of this thesis consists in providing a comprehensive view of logistics centres management and suggesting possible improvements.

Possible applications of green logistics principles in a chosen logistic chain

The aim of this thesis was to propose a system in which green logistics principles would be applied within supply chain for containers which are used for ambulant sale of drinks with the aim of decreasing the impact of logistics processes on the environment. Systems of disposable cups, beer mugs and washable cups were compared. From the long term point of view system of washable cups is the cheapest and creates the least volume of trash.

Analysis of the logistic processes in the manufacturing company

Diploma work focuses on the application of logistics in a real manufacturing enterprise. Theoretical chapters define terms like logistics, logistic chain and describe individual segments in the logistic chain from developing, purchasing, manufacturing process to warehousing and distribution. Company Indoorcycling Group is introduced in the third chapter. The company deals with production of stationary bicycles and their accessories. After the characterization of the company, individual logistic processes are analyzed. According to detection of problems in the logistic chain, various solutions for the optimalization are suggested.

Increase distribution efficiency in a selected company

The master's thesis focuses on distribution in a selected company. The company has been going through many changes which affect the whole logistic chain. The company is pushed by the current market situation to change processes in the central warehouse and in the costumer distribution. The author analyses all these changes and compares them to the theory. The author also proposes some improvements for efficiency increase in single parts of the logistic chain. There is not only theory used for these proposals. The proposed solutions are based on his own work experience and inspiration from different companies.

Optimalization of the chosen supply chain in the range of food-processing assortment

The aim of this thesis is the optimalization of chosen supplier chain from the point of view of material and informational flow, description of critical factors and a proposal for optimalization of the whole system from the point of view of logistic service and expenses. This thesis is devided into several parts. In the first part there are quoted some sources dealing with the topic of the thesis. In the second part present company functioning is described from the point of view of informational and material flow. These were analyzed within the conpany as well as between the company and the other parts of the chain. After evaluation of the results from the second part I tried to describe critical factors, which make the third part of the thesis. Ten critical factors were analyzed. The main part of the thesis is made by proposals for removing these critical factors.

The logistic chain of agricultural commodities

Diploma thesis "The logistic chain of agricultural commodities" is focused on the analysis of material flow in agricultural sector. Work assesses the benefits of storing commodities after harvest or sale of produce without adjustment from field. The study evaluates the economic and process performance in terms of processing of agricultural commodities after harvest from the beginning to final option trading. The obtained data will be possible to assess benefits of storing commodities. In the practical part is analyzed profitability of investment i post-harvest lines and sets out proposal to stremline the logistics chain of commodities within the company DAŇHEL AGRO a.s.

Logistics in a chosen manufacturing concern

Bachelor work deals with an analysis of logistical activities in a company called Kartáčovny, Inc based in Pelhřimov. The company with a long tradition in the branch deals with production and sale of brush goods. After the introduction of the company including an analysis of competition I came to an identification of a present marketing strategy which tries to keep the current market positions. I suggest extending the webside by adding an e-shop which would suitably complete it. Then I dealt with an analysis of a logistical chain. It is a traditional logistical chain with discontinuous flow where material flow works on push principle. The disadvantage of this logistical chain is the necessity of keeping big reserves of material,semi-finished goods and products. In consideration of this amount of reserves and changing of variable and fixed expenses, there should be carried out more frequent count of an optimal production rate of a single product. I also focused on a suitable lay-out of buildings, work places equipment and transport expenses to reduce the necessity of a frequent transport in a company area. I did not find any serious faults in work places during my visit. I also praise the general lighting of work rooms by daylight, which makes a pleasant atmosphere and does not become a stressful factor as in case of artificial lighting . After a detailed research of routes, number of contacts, distances and transport expenses among buildings (work rooms) in the company area, I found out the possibility to save as much as 162 216,80 CZK per year on transport expenses. This fact was demonstrated by CRAF method. I suggest building a new store instead of a present store of granulate II. Existing old store would be pulled down and replaced by this new store with a bigger capacity. I am sure that building a new store would bring many positives which are worth considering.

Production and logistics analysis in the chosen company producing food products

The diploma work deals with the analysis of the logistic chain of the company Friall s.r.o., which is a producer of frozen potato specialities. Based on this analysis I wanted to discover weak points in functionality of the logistic chain and find suitable precautionary measures as well as solutions leading to an improvement of the current situation. The diploma work is focused on the raw material entry and self-production of the products.

The diploma thesis deals with the hospital logistics and current utilization of the logistic methods and principles by the regional hospital in Jičín. The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse of current form of logistic system of the hospital and logistic processes in connection with the ensurance of material flows; to make the questionnaire; to identify the problems and to suggest solutions of optimalization of logistic processes and logistic chains that can lead to effective logistic system of the hospital.
