Territorial polarity socio-economic differentiation in Slovenia

Bachelor thesis is focused on territorial polarity socioeconomic differentiation of Slovenia based on spatial analysis of selected indicators. The main goal of this work is the detection of regional disparities and identifying determinants that affect their formation. Individual indicators represent a wide range of geographic realities. According to their nature, indicators are divided into three categories on the economic, social and others. Among the selected indicators include, for example, gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment rate, the total increase or degree of religiosity. The work is mainly concentrated on the territory of Slovenia, but it is also important in a European context. Final results are the determinants creating territorial differentiation and display a degree of territorial polarity.
Territorial polarity socio-economic differentiation in Austria

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is territorial polarity socio-economic differentiation in Central Europe, particularly in Austria. The main concept of this work is to follow the current status of this phenomenon on the basis of spatial analysis of selected socio-geographic indicators. The indicators are divided into three groups - social, economic and others. Examples of indicators that are used in the work are gross domestic product, unemployment, average wages, divorce, overall population growth rate, or the proportion of foreigners. Included of this bachelor thesis is a chapter dealing with Austria in a European context. The work would ultimately be determined by the determinants that influence the current status and characteristics of Austrian regions and define the degree of polarity.

The September issue of Global Economic Outlook presents its regular overview of recent and expected developments in selected territories, focusing on key economic variables: inflation, GDP growth, leading indicators, interest rates, exchange rates and commodity prices. In this issue, we also analyse the competitiveness and dynamics of goods exports from Central European EU member states. We find, among other things, that the current dependence of Central and South-Eastern European countries on global demand is higher than in the final pre-crisis years.

Territorial polarity socio-economic differentiation in Poland

The bachelor thesis focuses on territorial polarity socio-economic differentiation in Poland, which is studied by way of spatial analysis of selected indicators. The main objective is detection of regional disparities and searching of determinants that are contributing to their genesis. Indicators are selected so that expressed a broad geographical reality. They are divided by character into three categories economic, social and others. They include for example gross domestic product per capita, unemployment, total population growth, density of rail network or results of parliamentary elections. Thesis focuses primarily on the territory of Poland, but attention is fixed on European context too. Finally results include detection of main determinants and degree of territorial polarity.

The main objective is to identify the key determinants of participating in the development of regional disparities. Indicators are classified by nature into three different categories on the economic, social and others. The indicators include gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment, divorce or religiosity. Final results embody the main determinants profiling territorial difference and at the same time defining the degree of spatial polarity.

Složité národnostní a politické poměry střední Evropy inspirovaly politiky a intelektuály k promýšlení nejrůznějších vizí, které by tuto oblast pomohly stabilizovat. Práce se zabývá koncepcemi T. G. Masaryka a Milana Hodži, které prošly dynamickým vývojem. Do vypuknutí 1. světové války byla jejich představa uspořádání obdobná. Vycházeli z přesvědčení o vhodnosti zachování habsburské monarchie při její prohlubující se demokratizaci, která měla být i odpovědí na řešení národnostních sporů a emancipaci slovanských národů. V meziválečném období Masaryk spoléhal na versailleské uspořádání, které bylo otázkou celoevropskou, nikoli středoevropskou. Případnou federalizaci celé Evropy viděl Masaryk jako vzdálenější bod, do kterého mají národy Evropy dospět přirozeně z vlastní iniciativy. Hodžův akcent středoevropské spolupráce vycházel z realistického přesvědčení, že spoleh na versailleský systém není dostatečnou zárukou pro klid ve střední Evropě. Konkrétní spolupráci se snažil vést na hospodářském poli. Hodža své teze rozpracoval podrobně za 2. světové války v návrhu středoevropské federace. Spolupráce měla podle Hodži umožnit, aby se střední Evropa vymanila ze závislosti na turbulentním vývoji v Německu či Sovětském svazu.

Comparing conditions for agritourism in Central Europe

The thesis is aimed at analyzing the operation and support agritourism services in Central Europe, namely the Czech republic, Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovak republic and Hungary. Within each chapter, every country is analyzed in terms of agriculture, tourism, functioning of agritourism and support institutions which are concerned with agritourism. In the next part of the master thesis is focused on the SWOT analysis that makes it possible to determine the strategy, how should agritourism in Czech republic find the way for the future and for what should focus entrepreneurs and government. The final chapter proposes strategy of the state's perspective and from the perspective entrepreneurs in agritourism.
Analysis of IPO in Central Europe

Thesis "Analysis of IPO in Central Europe" is focused on IPO issue in Central European region, with emphasis on the Czech Republic. The beginning of the thesis deals with characteristics of IPO, followed by a division of IPOs in primary and secondary issues. The third part explores the causes of differences between the number of IPO on the Prague and Warsaw Stock Exchange. In the last section is located analysis of the relation between number of IPOs and gross domestic product in Central Europe.
The role of Central Europe in security-political relations on the background of the Visegrad Group

The topic of this thesis is the role of Central Europe in the security-political relations focusing on the Visegrad Group as a representative of Central European regional cooperation. The thesis first describes international regimes, which the Visegrad Group belongs to, the reasons of their origin and the functions, which they have been performing. The paper also deals with the region of Central Europe, with its definition and cooperation within it. The core part of the thesis is dedicated to the Visegrad Group, to its origin, to the relations between its members and above all to its activity within the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance. The final part evaluates not only achievements and failures in security and defense aspects of Visegrad cooperation, but it also mentions new possibilities, which are currently offered to such cooperation.
