The Investment Models in an Environment of Financial Markets
Repka, Martin ; MSc, Martin Volko (referee) ; Budík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis focuses on automated trading systems for financial markets trading. It describes theoretical background of financial markets, different technical analysis approaches and theoretical knowledge about automated trading systems. The output of the present paper is a diversified portfolio comprising four different investment models aimed to trading futures contracts of cocoa and gold. The portfolio tested on market data from the first quarter 2013 achieved 46.74% increase on the initial equity. The systems have been designed in Adaptrade Builder software using genetic algorithms and subsequently tested in the MetaTrader trading platform. They have been finally optimized using sensitivity analysis.
The Use of Artificial Intelligence for Optimization of Production
Svoboda, Radovan ; Martinec, Petr (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This paper deals with the problem of optimization of a production plan by using genetic algorithms. It contains a brief overview of the principles behind genetic algorithms in scope of evolutionary algorithms and artificial intelligence in general. It also takes a closer look on the challenge of production planning and control and all activities connected to it. This is followed by description of the modification of genetic algorithms that needed to be done in order to implement it into a computer program, which is used to create and optimize the production plan, and is a result to the issue that this paper deals with. Incorporated is detailed escription of principles and functions of the program, that it offers to its users.
The Use of Means of Artificial Intelligence for the Decision Making Support in the Firm
Rosa, Štěpán ; Kříž, Jiří (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the use of genetic algorithms for tasks related to the travelling salesman problem. Based on theoretical knowledge and problem analysis a proposal of the solution is provided. This creates a daily route plan for service technicians with regard to constraints. The case study shows that the proposed solution in comparison with manual scheduling by experience enables to reduce transportation costs.
The Use of Means of Artificial Intelligence for the Decision Making Support on Financial Market
Vrba, Patrik ; Litvík, Ján (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This Master's thesis focuses on applying artificial intelligence tools for the prediction of development financial markets. Major emphasis is placed on evaluating the usability of neural networks to determine the prediction in the foreign exchange markets. It is also provided suggestion for fully automated processing of market data and subsequent submitting of trading orders.
The use of optimization in production planning
Pokorný, Pavel ; Rais, Karel (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The Master’s thesis deals with production scheduling in an industrial company. It uses the means of artificial intelligence to develop an appropriate production schedule in a generalized Flow-shop Programming problem. This problem can be solved by application which is a result of this thesis and was prepaired with use of the software Matlab 7.1 and its Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search toolbox. There is a part devoted to the use of advanced production systems (APS) and the concept of the operative production planning in praxis as well. The thesis pays attention to various optimization models in production scheduling and supply chain management too.
Suppresion of distortion in iris images
Jalůvková, Lenka ; Štohanzlová, Petra (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This master`s thesis is focused on a suppression of a distorsion in iris images. The aim of this work is to study and describe existing degradation methods (1D motion blur, uniform 2D motion blur, Gaussian blur, atmospheric turbulence blur, and out of focus blur). Furthermore, these methods are implemented and tested on a set of images. Then, we designed methods for suppression of these distorsions - inverse filtration, Wiener filtration and iterative deconvolution. All of these methods were tested and evaluated. Based on the experimental results, we can conclude that the Wiener-filter restoration is the most accurate approach from our test set. It achieves the best results in both normal and iterative mode.
Evolutionary Algorithms
Szöllösi, Tomáš ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
The task of this thesis was focused on comparison selected evolutionary algorithms for their success and computing needs. The paper discussed the basic principles and concepts of evolutionary algorithms used for optimization problems. Author programmed selected evolutionary algorithms and subsequently tasted on various test functions with exactly the given input conditions. Finally the algorithms were compared and evaluated the results obtained for different settings.
Optimization based on genetic algorithms for image registration
Horáková, Pavla ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on global optimization methods and their utilization for medical image registration. The main aim is creation of the genetic algorithm and test its functionality on synthetic data. Besides test functions and test figures algorithm was subjected to real medical images. For this purpose was created graphical user interface with choise of parameters according to actual requirement. After adding an iterative gradient method it became of hybrid genetic algorithm.
Implementation of an evolutionary expert system
Bukáček, Jan ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on working up evolutionals and genetics algorithms issues Especially for multiobjective algorithms VEGA, SPEA and NSGA – II. Thereinafter one of FrameWork working with genetics algorithms namely WWW NIMBUS. From this mentioned algorithms was selected VEGA algorithm for implementation in JAVA to preselected problem. Thereby problem is choice thick columns of profile according to predetermined criteria. Selected algorithm works on division of population into several groups and each group evaluates the resulting fitness function. Here is a sample implementation of this algorithm. Furthermore there is a example of working with FrameWork. In the next section are compared the results of generated progam with results that were obtained by FrameWork WWW NIMBUS. As for VEGA, and the Nimbus there are shown different results. The VEGA is presented also the development of individual fitness functions. Also, there are shown graphs, that can be obtained from NIMBUS. At the end of work is introduced the comparation of the results ane propose possible improvements.
Modeling antennas of the VUT 100 aircraft
Starý, Vladimír ; Tobola,, Pavel (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis is aimed to analyze parameters of antennas, and work out the computer, which can be used to the modeling of the radiation of antennas of the VUT 100 aircraft. First, used antennas are divided according to the operation frequencies, and the polarization. Second, a MATLAB program is developed and described. The program computes radiation patterns at different frequencies for the different location of antennas on the VUT aircraft. Finally, the MATLAB optimization program is develop and described. The program changes the position of antennas so that the requirements of aircraft producer can be met.
