Analysis of the Equivalent Diagonal Strut Width of Infill Shear Wall with an Opening
Šimek, Ondřej ; Zich, Miloš
The subject of the article is a comparison of behavior of a precast reinforced concrete infill shear walls with an opening with different types of reinforcement. These are the walls that can ensure stiffness of the frame structure against horizontal load. Studied walls with an opening represent cases of how the wall can be reinforced prior to the implementation of an additional opening. The influence of the so called “sleeping reinforcement” is studied. This is a reinforcement that would take effect only after the additional opening has been made. Based on the already published results of the experiment and subsequent verification with numerical models, a parametric study is performed, where the influence of an opening size in these infill shear walls is studied on their load - bearing capacity and stiffness. Lastly, a comparison of the obtained results with available literature is made.
Cross_section and reinforcement optimization of roof truss
Odvárka, Miroslav ; Šimůnek, Petr (referee) ; Laníková, Ivana (advisor)
The thesis is focused on optimization of cross-section shape of reinforced concrete truss. An optimization algorithm was created in Microsoft Office Excel which optimizes the shape and reinforcement of the reinforced concrete truss. The truss is as cheap as possible while complying with the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state - deflection. The algorithm uses the Solver tool which is a supplement program Microsoft Office Excel. Two truss variants were created. One has a cross-sectional shape of a truss designed according to empirical relationships and the second comprises an optimized cross-sectional shape using the algorithm formed. The internal truss forces were detected using Scia Engineer. Both options were statically assessed. When comparing the variants, that a considerable part of the material cost can be saved when optimizing the cross-sectional shape.
Design of precast concrete hall
Prášek, Martin ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
Master’s thesis describes the structural design and static analysis of selected elements of prefabricated reinforced concrete industrial building, that will be used as storage hall. Purpose of thesis is elaboration of assembly drawings of the project documentation and drawings of formwork and reinforcement assembly of selected elements. Calculations were performed in computer programs for static analysis SCIA Engineer 16, IDEA StatiCa and FIN EC. Drawing were made in programs Allplan 2016 and AutoCad 2015.
Assembled structure of hall
Bartosch, Václav ; Chalivopulos, Paris (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
Master´s thesis describes the design and static calculating of selected elements of prefabricated reinforced concrete hall with bulit-in office, elaboration of basic drawings of the project documentation, shape and reinforcemenet drawings of these selected structural prefabricated elements. The work also includes technical report, details of selected element´s contacts, drawing of plates and study of the behavior of reinforced buildings. Calculation was performed by using a computer program AxisVm, Microsoft Excel a IDEA StatiCa
Use of advanced composite materials for the concrete structures design
Roček, Tomáš ; Matušíková, Anna (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of prefabricated retaining wall in two options of reinforcement. The first one is classical concrete reinforcement and the second one is composite bars (GFRP). The retaining wall is placed in agressive environment XD3. The thesis contains model calculation and drawings.
Precast concrete frame building of shopping centre
Břeňová, Marie ; Šimůnek, Petr (referee) ; Laníková, Ivana (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the design and review of selected load-bearing elements of the precast hall. Girder is dimensioned in two variants: reinforced and prestressed concrete. Design and assessment of prestressed girder was carried out using the simplified method and the IDEA statica. Column and footing was also dimensioned. All calculations are done in accordance with Eurocode 2.
Bridge on a ramp interchange in Brno
Novotný, Jan ; Pachl, Radek (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
Thesis deals with horizontally curved bridge on the ramp in Brno. Designed structure is continous beam formed by bicameral shape, on which are considered the effects of traffic according to ČSN EN 1991-2. Based on the results of stress the structure is designed.
Composite materials based on alcali activated blast furnace slag with admixture of fly ash
Indra, Ivo ; Brandštetr, Jiří (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis concerns on substitution of blast furnace slag or its part with fly ash in alkali-activated systems based on aluminosilikates. Classic, fluid bottom and fluid filter fly ashes will be tested. The goal is to prepare geopolymer with required mechanical properties, but with maximal admixture of alternative raw materials. In composites with substitutioned slag or its part the thesis focuses mainly on workabilityof fresh mixture, pressure and bending strenght. Use of secondary raw materials has advantages in the economic point of view and it´s friendly to enviroment, too.
Design and evaluation of selected parts of the concrete object
Orolínová, Andrea ; Šulák, Pavel (referee) ; Švaříčková, Ivana (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to design and to evaluate the static solution of two-way reinforced concrete slab and to design the appropriate reinforcement. In determining the effects of load for calculation of internal forces was used the program Scia Engineer 2013.1 This monolithic reinforced concrete slab above the third floor is the part of residential complex with five floors and two basements serving as garages.
Reinforced concrete ceiling of restaurant
Břeňová, Marie ; Šimůnek, Petr (referee) ; Laníková, Ivana (advisor)
The work focuses on the design and assessment of selected structural elements of one overground floor monolithic concrete structures. All calculations are done in accordance with Eurocode 2.
