The subject of the bachelor thesis named "Comparative analysis of credit card selected czech banks" is the analysis and identification of differences in credit card GE Money Bank and CSOB in the financial impact on their clients. In the first part, the bachelor thesis describes the czech banking system and the selected companies, than is focused on the features of credit cards. The final part analyzes and compares selected credit card and their financial impact on consumers.

The main idea of this bachelor thesis " The Security of Pay Cards" is to show readers security risks that comes together with daily usage of pay cards. In the first part of the work author talks about history and todays situation. Main part of work deals with most common frauds and tricks with pay cards. Reders are also given advices how to deal with security risks. At the end of work autor writes about future technologies and his own opinion about security situation with pay cards and possible solutions.

Aim of the teoretical part of bachelor thesis is to acquaint the reader with historical evolution of credit cards and card associations, technological innovations of recent years, typology of payment cards and evolution of used technology. Aim of the practical part is to analyze credit cards provided by three "major players" on czech market. Further to compare these products and to evaulate the most profitable product from the selected. Practical part of this thesis is instrumental as a guide for potential applicant of credit card product as well this part outlines recommendations, which should the applicant use for a decision. The aims of the practical part I have achieved with help of methods of analysis, comparison and description. Contribution of my bachelor thesis is provided quidance what all is neccesary to focuse on, which categories of fees to analyze and how to correctly evaluate these categories to a potencial applicant of a credit card. Similarly making the recommendations how to properly deal with this product to maximazi its profitability.

This Bachelor thesis deals with the relevant questions of credit cards from their historical development via the present time until the future. The work includes information about the usage of credit cards in ordinary life, their split into categories, protective measures and possibilities of their abuse. The bachelor thesis will introduce you to the current situation in the credit/debit card market and the development of new technologies in the field of credit/debit cards. A market survey and the interpretation of its results are followed by a comparison with publicly available statistics.
Utilization of payment cards

The Thesis deals with the utilization rate of debit cards, asks whether popularity of credit cards increases and tries to find what the approach to holding a payment card is among clients. It also deals with the history of payment card origins, both abroad and in the Czech Republic, with classification of cards and with card associations. Advantages and disadvantages of credit cards for a provider, a retailer and a cardholder and the possibility to compare for whom a card is a beneficial product is another interesting topic. It also deals with classification of cards and informs on the most important card associations. It summarizes their position on the market in the Czech Republic. Payment cards are a phenomenon of present days, which is why nearly everybody owns this payment instrument today. When we look at the offer of banks and financial institutions at the territory of the Czech Republic we find that no more financial institution not offering a wide range of credit and debit cards exists nowadays. The aim of the Bachelor Thesis was to confirm or refute set hypotheses, what the rate of growth on payment cards is and whether the interest in payment cards grows. A quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire research among the clients of Raiffeisenbank a.s. was chosen to confirm the hypotheses, then a research question asking about the approach to payment card ownership among clients. The questionnaire results were processed by means of descriptive statistics in graphic form. The research results were described and evaluated from the point of view of conformation or refutation of the hypotheses and the research question in the conclusion of the Bachelor thesis.
Banking Facilities within the Framework of Checking Accounts

The Bachelor work is focused on the questions relating the presented services, which are offering in the frame of checking accounts of the selected banks. Both the canals of direct banking, therefore Internet, Telebanking, GSM banking, WAP banking and home banking; and bank overdraft, payment card, credit card, and foreign currency account belong here. The companies of "Komerční banka, a. s.," "Československá obchodní banka, a. s.", "Česká spořitelna, a. s.", "Raiffeisenbank, a. s." and "GE Money Bank, a. s." banks are elaborated. The work is divided into two parts, the theory one and the practical one. The principle of the selected services is outlined in several test examples. These test examples link to the given theory.
Retail loan repayment analysis using generalized linear models

This Diploma thesis concern with generalized linear models and their application in bank practice. Especially to analyze retail loan repayment. First of all we see into theoretical viewpoint of generalized linear models. We shortly try to summarize problems of clasical linear model restrictions and after that we apply to theory on which generalized models are based. We introduce an overview of generalized linear models and after that we concern models, where dependent variable have multinomial and gamma distribution in detail. Main part this thesis is dedicated to data analysis about bank retail loans repayments. In this analysis we use those early mentioned models. We try to create good statistical models on which base the risk ratio of current bank clients could be predicted. The risk ratio is measured by two main indicators, which are: "overdue time" and "overdue amount". For analysis is used statistical software SAS.
Analysis of payment systems

The objective of my thesis is to describe overall technological concept and organizational scheme od payment cards and outline trends and development in the near future. There has been a big effort for industry standardization (e.g. security standards). It describes also advantages and disadvantages of payment cards and means of authorization. The infomation mentioned here will be used in later part, in case studies. My 3-years working experience as a project manager at Wincor Nixdorf helped to further investigate these scenarios. This company is one of the market leaders and key players in banking and retail industry. Since the cost related issues are very importnant (especially in the time of crisis), I analysed and compared several scenarios of payment system installation in retail.

Práce hodnotí systém kreditních karet a především správy pohledávek v jedné nejmenované bance. Jedná se o systém kvality služeb především při získávání kreditní karty a dalšího užívání.A to bezprostředně souvisí s kvalitou Správy pohledávek, která je nejen službou pro klienty, ale i pro banku. Hodnoceno je poskytování informací, které ovlivňují rozhodování o kartě a mohou zbůsobit nedostatky při hrazení splátek. Pokud nejsou splátky hrazeny, přichází na řadu správa pohledávek, která řeší důvody nehrazení, informuje klienty o jejich povinnost a především jim objasňuje špatně pochopené informace.
Tvorba marketingové strategie pro tržní segment kreditních karet Citibank a.s.

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá tvorbou marketingovej strátégie pre spoločnosť Citibank v Českej republike, pre produkt - kreditná karta. Práca je rozdelená na teoretickú a praktickú čast. V teoretickej časti popisujem postup zostavenia marketingovej stratégie na základe přeštudovanej literatúry a poznatkov, ktoré som si osvojil počas štúdia na Fakulte managementu v Jidřichově Hradci. V úvode praktickej časti charakterizujem Citibank, ktorá je mojim zamestnávatelom od roku 2001. Neskor analyzujem interné a externé prostredie Citibank, ktoré doplňujem dokladnou SWOT analýzou. V poslednej časti poukazujem na nedostaky súčasnej marketingovej strátegie. Na základe uskutočnenej analýzy a súčasnej podnikovej stratégie Citibank, navrhujem novú marketingovú stratégiu.
