Comparison of Properties of Blended Cements with Additives Based on Waste Materials
Martykán, Jiří ; Gazdič, Dominik (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on comparing the properties of blended cements with additions based on waste materials. In the practical part watch the physical properties and microstructure of hydrated cement with admixture of dust from the production of aggregates.
Increase of Belite Clinker Reactivity
Pekárková, Jana ; Fridrichová, Marcela (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is focused on possible increase of belite clinker reactivity. Specfically a method of chemical activation was examinated. This method consists in disruption of belite structure due to substitution silicon ions with other ion. It also deals with effect of potassium ions from potassium sulfur and carbon on longterm hydration process of belite clinker, which was burnt in laboratory.
Influence of Ambient Temperature Conditions on Course of Solidification of Cement Stone
Kolaja, Filip ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
Bachelor thesis in theoretical part deals with raw material, chemical and mineralogical structure of portland cement. With technology of his production, basics clinker minerals and his hydration. There is indicated also partitioning of cements. In experimental part is observed influence of extremely low and high temperature to the course of hydration of cement stone in compare with reference sample, hydrated at normal temperature conditions.
Preparation and study of Alite
Jančíků, Andrea ; Gazdič, Dominik (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the preparation of the main clinker mineral tricalciumsilicate (Alitu-C3S), mostly theoretically and partially practically. The theoretical part summarizes the main findings of recent years of research of polymorphic phases of this mineral. The practical part is devoted to the preparation of polymorphic phase of M1 alite. The main objective was to prepare the monoclinic phase of M1 and analyze their properties by available analytical methods.
Synthetic Preparation and Properties of Thaumasite
Klásková, Silvie ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis continues in the monitoring of thaumasite thermodynamic stability. It mainly deals with mineral properties and possible ways of its synthetic preparation. Mineralogical composition determined using X-ray diffraction analysis as well as possible impact of sample storage conditions can help further property identification. Based on the obtained radiographs, thaumasite mineral can be well distinguished from the very similar ettringite mineral.

The possibilities regulation of production hydration heat of concrete with plasticizer
Hermann, Radek ; Halas, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
This thesis studies the problematics of water reducing and high range water reducing admixtures and their influence on the process of hydration of cement pastes. The process of hydration is examined in this thesis both in terms of hydration heat and hydration temperature rise. Attention is also paid to the influence of plasticizers in combination with retarding admixture regarding rheological properties of modified fresh cement pastes and their mechanical properties after 3 and 7 days from mixing.
Comparison of the different methods for the determination of the powder binders grindability
Virágová, Tereza ; Walter, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to summarize the knowledge gained in the field of grinding medium-hard and hard materials. Work has focused on examining the grindability of the material using available laboratory mill. The part of the work is subsequent optimization of the grinding process on the device and evaluation of the results.
Studying Formation and Kinetics of Belite Clinker Hydration
Halešová, Adéla ; Walter, Martin (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
DIPLOMA THESIS IS DEVOTED TO THE STUDY OF PREPARATION OF PURE BELITE CLINKER FOR THE POTENTIAL INCREASE OF KINETICS OF THE HYDRATION PROCESS BY CHEMICAL ACTIVATION. THE THESIS OF THIS WORK IS BASED ON RESEARCH FINDINGS CONCERNING BELITE CLINKER AND RESEARCH AT THE INSTITUTE OF THD. THE THESIS AIMS TO DESIGN COMPOSITION OF THE RAW MEAL BURNING BELITE, FOLLOWING MODIFICATION BY SULPHATE AND POTASSIUM CARBONATE IN ORDER TO POTENTIALLY INCREASE THE REACTIVITY OF THE BURNT BELITE CLINKER AND THE LABORATORY FIRING OF PREPARED SAMPLES. THE LAST STEP WAS TO ASSESS THE MINERALOGICAL COMPOSITION OF BURNED SAMPLES XRD ANALYSIS AND FOLLOWING COMPARISON CELL PARAMETER OF BELITE WITH AND WITHOUT ADDED MODIFYING ADDITIVES.
Behaviour of Ettringite in Different Humidity Conditions at Increased Temperature
Hučínová, Lenka ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the behaviour of ettringite as a highly watery material under varying external environment conditions. It deals with the development of ettringite at increased temperature and in different humidity conditions. Depending on these factors, both the stability of ettringite and its possible conversion to different minerals are monitored.
