On the ontological Conception of N. Hartmann

The author is concerned with the ontological conception ofN. Hartmann, especially with his theory of "stratification of being". According to his opinion, N. Hartmann's is an important representative of one branch of the phenomenological movement. His philosophy is based on the results of special sciences, too, what is not typical for the phenomenological movement in a general way.

Jan Patočka about the Appaerence as such: Phenomenology or metaphysics?

The thematisation of the appearence as such in the work of Jan Patočka could by characterised by a tension between the intention to study nothing but the phenomenality and the need of an ontological reflexion upon the roots of phenomenality. This later intention leads Patočka to the limitss of phenomenology and into the neighbourhood of metaphysics.
