Psychosocial aspect of pediatric onkology. Child and Family.
LEMERMANOVÁ, Stanislava
The work, which is focused on learning about families living with a school-age child suffering from a cancer disease, has brought a number of findings and experience. Its goal was to map general climate of a family living with a child suffering from cancer and an effort to record some of its typical or specific differences. Interviews of ill children, their siblings and parents brought the most important finding regarding functioning these families. Interviews of children imply that they have enough information about treatment and examinations, however, not enough information about the disease. Communication of parents and children about the diseases turned out to be problematic. Some children want to know more about the disease but their parents are unable to meet their needs. Interruption of school attendance, and thus, interruption of the contact with schoolmates is the most depressive change for children. In the interviews parents say that the worst period was the one when it was already obvious that the disease was serious but the diagnosis had not been set. Child{\crq}s disease entirely changed everyday life of the families; everything was governed by the fact whether the child is in hospital and how he or she feels. One of parents had to stay with the child and thus the family split. Healthy siblings found themselves in the shade of the ill child, the older ones tried to understand the situation and help their brother/sister and the parents as much as possible. Deepening of the relationship between the parents, psychic maturing of the ill child and his/her older siblings, and change in the value attitudes of parents may be ranked among the positive changes. The situation brought a clear and factual result that all family members are extraordinary close to each other and the families are adaptable. Serious disease of the child results in a fact that the families function in a stress situation and more intensive solidarity and adaptability are a necessity for them. On the basis of the research we may say in the conclusion that relevant attention and care should be paid not only to ill children and their parents but also to their healthy siblings. Tumour disease and risk to the child{\crq}s life represent an extreme stress for a family. The structure of the family changes and its everyday life turns upside down completely. The families I met during the research were managing the situation well. Even though the situation was exhausting for them and some faced communication problems, they could all function and take care of their ill child.
The possibilities of financing of compensatory aids for handicapped children
JIRÁSKOVÁ, Eva
The goal of this paper is to show the basic survey of the compensation aid tools that are good and a sometimes necessary for a good development of the handicapped child, for his better social integration and for the well function of his family. I also wanted to present the possibilities of financial support from health insurance companies, social- and health department and last, but not least the support of nonprofit organizations. The survey shows that parents does not have enough information about gathering financial support for compensational instruments for physically handicapped children. We can also mention that the information receive mainly from their friends, parents of handicapped children and in Southern Bohemia even thanks to Chilren Centre called ``ARPIDA``, which provides the complex care especially to children with corporal and combined handicap. It also follows that parents would thank to any other chance about possibilities of financing compensational instruments by means of doctors, informational materials, etc.
COLOURS AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON CHILD´S PSYCHE
MAKALOUŠOVÁ, Iva
In my bachelor thesis, which is devoted to the topic Colours and their influence on a child{\crq}s psyche in kindergarten, I concentrate on the problems of the colour influence and I try to develop the basic questions of colour theory and their application in the pedagogical-training programme of a pre-school child. I try to discover the depth of subjective and objective colour perception and their psychological meaning. I research the colour perception and also the choice and preference of colours at child-ren aged three {--} six years. Colours inherently belong to a children{\crq}s world and children love them. That is why my aim concentrates on working with colours more consciously and use them more on the field of psycho diagnostics and psychotherapy, thus in experience. I hope it will be possible to use the results of this thesis in a wide range of pedagogical-training programme at pre-school children

Problems of injuries in preschool age children
NOVOTNÁ, Jana
This study is focused on injury problems of pre-school children. Children injuries are one out of most frequent causes of children's mortality and sickness absence. Therefore it is a worldwide problem. Unfortunately, Czech Republic is rated according to accident statistics as one of worst countries in Europe. Because of that it is necessary to focus more on prevention of those effects. In terms of research it was proven, that the knowledge of children and their parents is insufficient. Increasing this knowledge of children was achieved with founding of preventive program. For parents was chosen a form of informative leaflet. In my opinion, the decrease of children's injuries would be possible with help of methodical impingement upon children and even their parents.

Joint Physical Custody after Divorce - Advantages and Disadvantages
ZELENÁ, Šárka
In 1998 an amendment of the Family Act of 1963 made it possible, following the example of western countries, to entrust children to joint physical custody of parents, after their divorce. This gives them the possibility to equally share the upbringing and making decisions in important matters concerning their child after their divorce. This form of post-divorce organisation of child care is relatively new in this country, and that is why we have little experience with it so far. Specialists who are in contact with the questions of the joint physical custody present a number of both advantages and disadvantages. The objective of my diploma thesis was to map the particular questions, find out how the professional and non-professional public view the joint physical custody, and subsequently, compare these results. My further objective was to describe the advantages and disadvantages resulting from the shared parenting. My research was based on the hypothesis that the professional public regarded this post-divorce organisation of child care as suitable, further on the hypothesis that non-professional public was not sufficiently informed about this possibility of post-divorce organisation of child care, and, last but not least, the statement that there were differences between the attitude held by the professional and that held by the non-professional public to the questions mentioned. Two of the three hypotheses were confirmed in the course of the research. The conducted research is of explorative character, it combines elements of quantitative and qualitative research. To conduct it I used the method of questioning by means of an anonymous questionnaire, the data obtained were processed in the computer SPSS programme. In questions containing qualitative data, I conducted a qualitative content analysis. Another technique that I applied was the secondary data analysis. The research sample was made up of randomly chosen representatives of both professional and non-professional public from the Regions of South Bohemia and Hradec Králové. My thesis will serve as a feedback for specialists dealing with this field, it will be used for the needs of the Children and Family Crisis Centre in České Budějovice. Its results will serve for the improvement of information of professional and non-professional public.
The quality of nutrition during pupilage
MIKÁTOVÁ, Martina
Our nutrition significantly influences our healthy development, quality of our life and mainly our health condition in general. No one discredits today the fact that faults in our nutrition result in emergence and further development of illnesses. On the contrary there is enough evidence on a very positive effect of changes in nutrition on a single person, group of people or the whole generation. The objective of my diploma thesis was to find out the quality of food consumed by school-age pupils. I used quantitative research for my diploma work. Data aquisition was carried out in the form of question-forms in order to address as many respondents as possible. Questions {--}forms were alloted for pupils at primary schools. There were three hypotheses. Hypothesis 1: Czech pupils consume fuel food overly rich in sugars. This hypothesis was proved.. Hypothesis 2: Czech children consume less than 30g of fibre a day. The hypothesis was also proved. Hypothesis 3: In pupils´ ingestion of food there is more than 300 mg of cholesterol a day. This hypothesis was not proved at all. It is obvious from the results that Czech pupils do not consume recommended healthy food. The results of my diploma thesis could be used as a basis for improvement in eating habits of school-age children. Bad parental approach to healthy nutrition is one of the key factors that contribute to the growth of obesity and other serious deseases. Parents should be informed about bad and wrong eating habits of their children and at the same time they should be advised how to make a healthy and suitable daily menu for their children. Parents could be kept informed by various informative leaflets distributed at schools or there might be held special lectures aimed at this broad issue. Because we are one of the states where obesity is a big problem even for a younger population. I am sure that all these activities could be useful for gradual improvement in changes concerning bad unhealthy eating habits of pupils, their better health condition and even restricition of obesity.
