HOUSE ON THE FOOTHILL - TOWN HOUSE IN THE HISTORICAL CENTRE
Petrušková, Lucie ; Rudiš, Viktor (referee) ; Oplatek, Jiří (advisor)
The place has a unique location - in between Stare Brno, where the city originated, and the historical city centre. Its triangular shape is defined by two adjoining streets, a vibrant and ancient Pekarska and much younger Anenska. It is also a kind of transition between the big noble city and a shabby, yet fairy area. The design seeks to create a complex of buildings that react to these specific features and add a new layer to the city. The first decision was to enclose this heterogeneous area. Thus a clear structure is defined in regard to both streets as well as their junction. Due to its specific location, the site is built on intensively, yet without exceeding the overall height level of the area. The mass on the north side goes gradually down and the corner forms a firm figure. In the less important street, the scale of the objects becomes smaller, thus interacting with its surroundings. The re-created St. Anna lane acts as a contemporary link between these two worlds. Moreover, it is possible to climb up from there to a public garden on the hill. Functionally, apartment buildings prevail. The corner block serves as offices and there are shops on the ground level. The lane is lined with small studios for artists and craftsman, thus giving the area a unique character.

Podnikatel´ský plán na založenie športovo-relaxačného centra
Zachar, Viktor
Bachelor thesis deals with the development of a business plan for the establishment of sports and relaxation center in Piešťany. However this business plan serves only as a tool to assess, whether it's possible to realize the establishment of this center. This thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part involve literature search. There will be defined business rules, described the legal forms of enterprises, which may be set up in Slovakia and by comparing these there will be chosen suitable legal form for the sports center. Also, there will be enumerated elements of the business plan, specified their content and described its making procedure. In the next section this theoretical knowledge will be applied into practice in the form of a plan to establish a sports center. In this plan location of the center, its name, capital, number and manning, opening hours, and marketing and pricing strategy will be gradually selected. There also will be performed competition analysis and SWOT analysis. Finally, risks that may jeopardize the operation of the center on the market will be defined, as well as recommendations to eliminate these risks will be proposed.
Creation of a center for patients with rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis
ŠTOKROVÁ, Veronika
The name of this bachelor thesis is: Establishing a centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, system, inflammatory illness of joints that results in destructions and deformities of joints. It is a characteristic feature of this illness symmetrically that it affects more joints at the same time, which are, in the majority of cases, small joints. Psoriatic arthritis is an inflammatory illness of joints which is accompanied by psoriasis. Psoriatic arthritis affects mainly distal interphalangeal joints of the hands, which makes it basically different from the rheumatoid arthritis. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part dealt with rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, priority needs of people suffering from these troubles, and a possible centre for these patients. The empirical part of my thesis was compiled in the form of qualitative research. The technique of collecting data was a semi-structured interview, which was conducted with 8 respondents suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, and 5 nurses working at rheumatologic surgeries. The interviews with the particular respondents and nurses were processed into case histories. The most interesting data were processed in the form of categorising tables. The thesis aimed at the following: to find out whether people suffering from these diseases are interested in establishing a centre for clients suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, to underline the benefits of such a centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, to underline possibilities of activities held at the centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, and to underline possibilities of involving nurses at the centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. We posed the following research questions: How much are people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis interested in establishing the centre? What do people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis view the benefits of the centre in? What are the possibilities of involving nurses at the centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis? Which activities can be realised at the centre? The results of the research examination show that people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis are interested in establishing a centre. They view the benefits of the centre especially in seeing and testing compensation aids, and another benefit for them would be attending expert seminars held by a physician in cooperation with a nurse or, under circumstances, with students. The nurse in the centre would deal with the education, and another possible activity could be holding seminars or cooperation with a physician in basic examinations. The activities that can be realised in the centre are exercises under professional supervision of a physiotherapist, visiting a physician, testing compensation aids or making use of professional advice by an occupational therapist. The results of my bachelor thesis can serve as a foundation for creating a centre for people suffering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.
Using services of the Centres of wet healing of wounds by primary care nurses
POLNICKÁ, Ludmila
Treatment of chronic wounds is a complicated multidisciplinary problem. Modern therapeutic dressings which are permeable and keep the wound wet play an important role in the treatment. At present many professionals strive for support and wider spread of wet wound healing in the Czech Republic. They are mostly nurse organisations, journals, pharmaceutical firms and ``Centres of wet wound healing``. The Centre of Vysočina region is in Jihlava. Centre staff help nurses, doctors and patients to improve the care of wounds. As seen from the results, in spite of all obstacles which nurses have to face while using modern therapeutical dressings the method of wet wound healing in the treatment is spreading. More and more nurses use this method. The Centre of wet wound healing and departments for chronic wounds help towards this effort.

E-mail as a communication tool
Quaiser, Jakub ; Měsíček, Libor (advisor) ; Šabata, Josef (referee)
As the theme of my Bachelor thesis I have chosen "E-mail as a communication tool". The reason for choosing this was the fact that a lot of people uses this communication method for its distinct advantages everyday. The number of people who communicate constantly grows. I belong to this group too and that is why I have decided to penetrate the functioning of this form of communication and discover what options e-mail offers to users. In my thesis I pursue several objectives. The first one is to chart history, present and possible future development of e-mail. I also deal with the issue how and in which environment e-mail works and what its forms of exploitation and abuse are. The next target is to compare six selected free mail providers on the basis of multi-criteria analysis and to compare its results with the results resulting from the questionnaire drawn up by me. For theoretical part of my thesis I use literature and information from the Internet as a source of information. At the practical section I work mainly with portals of individual free mail providers and the findings of the questionnaire. I can see the benefits of my thesis in the fact that through to this thesis the reader can obtain a complete picture of e-mail without wasting their time searching information in different sources. It can also serve as a help in selecting an appropriate provider. The thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical and practical one. In the theoretical part I explain basic concepts needed to understand the next part which deals with the construction and operation of e-mail. The practical part compares the free mail providers on the basis of my own analysis and analysis of information from the questionnaire.
