A study of sustainable management of suburban recreational reservoir
Duras, Jan ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of the study was to analyse possibilities of sustainable use of a recreational lake in the outskirts of the City Plzeň. Long term balance between economic, social and ecological aspects was emphasized. After the analyse was made it resulted that for sustainable economic functioning of the locality several measures should be carried out. The extent of the measures should be appropriate in order not to disturb sustainable maintenance of social and ecological aspects.
Solution of erosion protection at the model basin using mathematical modeling
KŘÍHA, Jan
The contents of this thesis is an examination and assessment of erosion processes in the catchment Budského stream. The area of interest falls into three cadastral territory, Malče, Besednice a Soběnov. Catchment area is 7.1 km2. Integral part of work is the pedological and hydrological research. It was evaluated the impact of waste in the surrounding villages. In the catchment basin, has a significant influence Besednice reservoir. It was assessing its impact on the environment and erosion control functions. Using the acquired information has been calculated N-year water and the amount of drifted soil by Wischmeier and Smith. Another goal is to process this data using software modeling and evaluate output. Against this background and the results are recommended measures to reduce soil loss from these plots.
DEVELOPMENT OF ICHTIOFAUNA IN THE NEW FILED POND CHABAŘOVICE
ŤUK, Josef
The Chabarovice coal mining pit arose by flooding the former strip mine area for brown coal. After filling, the pit area should reach about 225 hectare, total volume of water 34.4 mil. m3, average depth 15,6 meters with maximum of 23,3meters. It is assumed that the pond and adjacent areas will be used for recreation usage after completion of recultivation and ground shaping. I have performed the investigations in June and in August 2004 - 2005, using basic ichthyological methods. The data about recruitment were collected by the littoral seine net and adult fish (older than one year) were investigated by gillnets nets. Fish was determinated to genus, individually measured by slide caliper (fry) and by measuring plate (adult fish). The lenght of fish body (SL-standart lenght) was measured in millimeters and fish were weighted separately (W v g). In the year 2005, also scales were taken from individual fish for the age assesment. Obtained data were processed with regard to performed biomanipulation measures in individual sectores. Nine fish species and one hybrid were recorded by the monitoring with gillnets nets. The most numerous fish were juveniles and adults of rudd with SL 74 {--} 300 mm and the weight up to 618 g. The fish species with the strongest impact upon the pit ecosystem function is conitnuously the perch with the dominance of individuals with SL 46 to 337 mm and weight zup to 850 g.
Gradients of fish distribution in reservoirs
PRCHALOVÁ, Marie
Patterns of fish spatial distribution were studied in two Czech canyon-shaped reservoirs and in three Dutch basin-shaped reservoirs. Effects of environmental variables like habitat depth, slope, distance from the shore and distance from the dam were evaluated using multivariate statistics. Gillnet selectivity was also studied as fish were sampled using gillnets.
Spatial heterogeneity and species distribution of \kur{Daphnia} resting eggs in sediment of reservoirs
VANÍČKOVÁ, Ivana
The aim of this study was to analyze the amount and the species composition of Daphnia gr. longispina resting egg bank in reservoirs. Studied reservoirs (Brno, Seč, Vír, Vranov a Žlutice) were sampled in July 2004 and 2005 at three sites {--} tributary, deep tributary and dam area. It was confirmed that there are more resting eggs at dam area than at tributary one and species composition differs for studied sites.
Floristic research of part of catchment area of Oslava river between villages Velke Mezirici and Vanec
BORŮVKOVÁ, Zuzana
The study deals with a description of vegetation of part of catchment area of Oslava river between villages Velke Mezirici and Vanec. The search had been realised during the vegetation seasons of the years 2006 and 2007. There are characterised geological-petrographical, soil, climatic, hydrographic ratios and basic phytogeographical characteristics of this area in the form of a search. Selected genera of the observed plants was characterised and their incidence is figured in the schematic maps of the area. There were found out 327 kinds of plants there. In the annex there are attached schematic maps with places of occurence of the plant genera and photographic documentation.
