Historical and geographical aspects of population development in Černovice

This thesis deals with historical and geographical aspects of long-term population development in the city of Černovice. Research is mainly related to the period of 19th and 20th century. During this period, each settlement went through a development which was influenced by many aspects (natural, social, cultural, economic, political). For the industrial period population size of cities can be considered as fully adequate indicator for monitoring the status of the comprehensive development and position. The The main aim, which is based on a detailed analysis of population development, is to clarify the roots of its present condition, size and position in the Czech settlement system. This study also searches for determinants, causalities and the specifics of this development in the wider regional context. The final section summarizes the results and benefits of work. The whole study also includes lists of used literature and sources, tables, graphs, maps and other attachments.
Population trends after World War II in the Czech republic

This thesis deals with the development of basic demographic structure of Czech population after World War II to the present. The period is divided into three stages of population development. The first stage of the years 1945 - 1969 includes the post-war development in our country, a period an enthusiastic of building and subsequent periods of stagnation and decline at the end of the sixties. The next stage of years 1970 - 1989 describes the demographic waves in the seventies and negative features of population development, which peaked at the end of the eighties. Last stage of years 1990 - 2010 focuses on the beginning of restoration of democracy in Czech society and the current development of the Czech population. Part of this thesis is also focused on development of economic activity of Czech population in the years 1945 - 2010. Economic activity is divided into two parts. The first part assesses the development of economic activity in a period of almost forty years of socialism in the Czech Republic. The second part describes the development of economic activity after 1989.
Exploitation of older people as the one of the means to stabilisation of the Czech pension system

The aging of population is one of the topics that are nowadays often discussed by economists. It affects the sustainability of public finances and so indirectly an operation of whole Czech economy. According to an analysis of specialists, the demographic trend shows the unsustainability of a current pension system. Very likely there will be a huge number of older citizens on the labour market in a few decades. My bachelor thesis is focused on the Czech labor market and it is trying to discover the causes of this phenomenen, to evaluace future development and to offer possible solutions. It also deals with the basic description of the labour market entities, workers and an employers. Their potential incentives for involvement in a employment and a prediction of the future development in the labor market. It evaluates the economic policy which these preferences to a greater or lesser extet affect. Only these policies can make from current unsustainable system a system relatively stable, which will be acceptable for all citizens.
Pension reform in the Czech Republic

Reforming pensions is necessary, because the current demographic trends are mainly characterized by aging population. Significant demographic changes are going to lead to great implications for output growth. To maintain the financial stability of pension system, reforms are necessary. The first part of this thesis deal with changes in the present Czech population and the demographic forecasts for next fifty years. The second part is devoted to analyzing the setting of the pension system. The third part describes the upcoming reform which proposes to introduce a combined pension system. The last part of my thesis is devoted to the possible benefits, risks, and fiscal capacity of implementing the combined pension system.
Population development IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN 1945 - 2008 and comparison with the EUROPEAN UNION

Work provides an overview of the major demographic indicators, the Czech Republic and the European Union. The first part, the reader may meet with some key demographic data and looking at history in obtaining such data. The second part describes the development of the population of the Czech Republic during the years after World War II until 2008. Further the thesis focuses on the demographics of the Member States of the Union during the years 1990 to 2007. The last part deals with the cluster analysis of EU member states, which is an effort based on life expectancy in 2002 and 2007 to assess the status of the Czech Republic in the EU. The aim should be to work groups and comparing selected demographic indicators for Czech Republic and the European Union.
An analysis of security in old age

This bachelor thesis deals with the ways of security in old age. It describes demographic developments in the Czech Republic and the resulting consequences. It also deals with historical developments and possible future evolution of approaches to security in old age. Another part of this thesis is mapping, description and evaluation, and comparison of different products suitable for security in old age. In the end, the paper deals more general reflection on the possibilities of pension security of individuals in the Czech Republic.
Simulation model of population development

In these days one of the global problem seems to be continuous population growth. The most quickly rising population can be found predictably in the poorest developing countries of the world, which also have trouble with meeting basic demands of its inhabitants. That is why it is necessary to closely watch population trend, because it noticeably influences many social-economic issues like sufficiency of work opportunity, access to the education, housing etc.. This diploma thesis focuses on monitoring of population development of Slovak republic till 2025. The aim of thesis is creation of simulative model in program SIMPROCESS 4.3.1, which will offer transparent results of population development forecast. These model results in program SIMPROCESS 4.3.1 are compared with official population development forecast in Slovakia till 2025 published by Statistical Office of Slovak republic in 2007. The thesis is focused in detail on monitoring of demographical indicators like birth rate, mortality rate and migration.
Hospodársky vývoj Austrálie od roku 1990 až po súčasnosť

Práca zahŕňa charakteristiku vybraných oblastí týkajúcich sa Austrálie, ako je peňažná jednotka, súčasná politická situácia a demografický vývoj. Ďalšou súčasťou práce je charakteristika sektorov hospodárstva, analýza infraštruktúry, analýza austrálskeho hospodárstva od roku 1990 po súčasnosť, predpoveď vývoja hospodárstva pre obdobie 2007 - 2011 a zhodnotenie uskutočnených reforiem. Poslednou oblasťou analyzovanou v práci je zahraničný obchod Austrálie.
The Czech pension system, its problems and possibilities of the reform

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to give a complex view of the Czech pension system to the reader. In recent years pensions and their associated problems have been the main theme of many discussions. We often hear politicians and experts speaking about the financial problems of the Czech pension system and its unavoidable reform. The preamble of this thesis deals with different situations in the Czech pension system, the rules under which it operates and its history. The body of this work is focused on the analysis of fundamental problems and their effects on the contemporary pension system in the Czech Republic. The emphases in the thesis are on demographic trends; the ageing process; receipts and expenditures of the Czech pension system; the political situation and public opinion in the Czech Republic. The conclusion of this thesis describes various reforms for the Czech pension system and mentions basic information about the Slovak pension system.
