Inflation targeting: To forecast or to simulate?
Skořepa, Michal ; Kotlán, Viktor
Writers differentiate between two basic ways of assessing future inflation: forecast and simulation. A forecast is the most likely picture of the future. In a forecast, all agents are assumed to behave in the most likely way. A simulation, on the other hand, is the most likely picture of the future if the behaviour of one agent follows a predetermined path or is generated using a selected reaction function.

The punk subculture is considered one of the most pronounced subcultures. Its birth can be traced back to the 1970´s Great Britain, where it formed as a protest against the political system and social problems. Still, its philosophical roots have been preserved until today by the members of this subculture. The theoretical part of this work focuses on the definition of the word subculture, its function in the society and the basic features, which are characteristic of it. Furthermore it deals with the definition of punk. Not only does it describe the typical characteristics of the adherents of this subculture, but also the music, with which the specific dance pogo is connected. Another important topic of this work is the evolution of this movement both around the world and in Czechoslovakia. At the same time it provides information on significant punk music bands based around Rakovník. The aim of the thesis is to map out the situation of the punk subculture in the Rakovník region as well as its members´ activities and philosophy of life. These aims will be addressed in the practical part of this work, as will also be an independently carried out research and subsequent discussion of its results against of the opinions of other authors. The method of research was qualitative and took the form of semi-structured interviews. The research subjects were chosen based on the snowball sampling technique. The quota for sampling became the place of residence, and hence the Rakovník region. Based on these results were drawn hypotheses, which above all show how today´s punks tore themselves away from radical movements. It is however not possible to generalize those results, owing to the small area they were drawn from.

In each age category, there were 50% samples of the male and 50% samples of female population. Moreover a questionnaire was made up filled in by each participating person. The determination of the total mercury contents was performed on the one-purpose spectrophotometer AMA-254. Means for the total mercury concentration moved deeply under the permitted limit values. Even the highest established mercury value which was 0,38554 mg/kg was under the limit. Using the one-way ANOVA (F2,87=5,4364; p<0,05) in STATISTICA 7 program, it was proved based on the reviewed influence of factors on the level of mercury in the body, that the mercury concentration depends on the consumption rate of the freshwater fish.
