Formal Systems Based on Automata and Grammars

Test Application Methodology Based On the Identification of Testable blocks
Herrman, Tomáš ; Plíva, Zdeněk (referee) ; Racek, Stanislav (referee) ; Kotásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The PhD thesis deals with the analysis of digital systems described on RT level. The methodology of  data paths analysis is decribed, the data path controller analysis is not solved in the thesis. The methodology is built on the concept of Testable Block (TB) which allows to divide digital component to such segments which can be tested through their inputs/outputs, border registers and primary inputs/outputs are used for this purpose. As a result, lower number of registers is needed to be included into scan  chain - border registers are the only ones which are scanned.  The segmentation allows also to reduce the volume of test vectors, tests are generated for segments, not for the complete component. To identify TBs, two evolutionary algorithms are used, they operate on TB formal model which is also defined in the thesis.

The Pump with a Diffuser with Stochastic Blades (Runner and Diffuser)
Dobšáková, Lenka ; Melichar, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
This doctoral thesis studies the non-uniform blade cascade for centrifugal pumps. Influence of non-uniform blade cascade is investigated on the impeller and diffuser. A non-uniform blading impeller of pumps in this doctoral thesis was examined in terms of influence on efficiency characteristic. The idea of using non-uniform blading is to obtain a flat efficiency characteristic. Then the centrifugal pump could be used on larger scale of power with achieving a sufficiently high efficiency. The work is based on experimental measurements and numerical simulations of non-uniform hydraulic pump components. Non-uniform impeller and the diffuser were newly designed for this research. A new measuring track of small submersible pumps was needed to design and build for measurements. Different pump combinations with conventional hydraulics on one working point and hydraulics with non-uniform were measured. All measurements were evaluated and characteristics of efficiency, head and power were obtained for each measured combination. Some of pump combinations (which were measured in experiment) were numerically simulated by program Ansys Fluent. Data needed to evaluate the characteristic of efficiency and specific energy were collected from each numerical simulation. A theoretical consideration concerns the influence of non-uniform blade cascade applied on diffuser. The suggestion how to decrease hydraulic losses in canals was done. The theoretical consideration how to make a flat efficiency characteristic was made.

Assessment of capacity of selected systems of public infrastructure. Case study Barrandov.
Kocábek, Ondřej ; Novotný, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Vojtěch , Vojtěch (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of capacities of selected components of public infrastructure of housing estate Barrandov. The first part of the work concerns with literature review in spatial planning and sustainable development, the concept of public infrastructure, and outlines the birth and development of prefabricated housing estates. It elaborates and further describes the functional breakdown and the individual components of public infrastructure. The second part of the thesis is focused on the methodology of capacity assessments including the determination of the investigated components of the public infrastructure. It also describes the method of determining the capacity of the investigated components. The third part of the thesis describes the territory of the case study, which is followed by the assessment of the examined components of the public infrastructure. Based on the results of the assessment the thesis states that the capacity of all the assessed components of the public capacities are in certain respects at the edge of their capacity.

Analysis of transfer from trolley bus to CNG sources: emission, economic and ecologic effects
Gärberová, Gabriela ; Vach, Marek (advisor)
This thesis is a comparative study comparing the environmental and economic impact after the abolition of public transport in Jirkov, using electric motors and its replacement by buses or CNG or diesel vehicles. The work also includes an opinion poll in which I canvassed 500 respondents and the resulting poll I evaluated statistically. I evaluted from the studies pollution from emissions of all three components, which I compared with each other. Results may be used for future evaluation of the effectiveness of public transport of other cities.

Resistance of cole vegetable cultivars against Plasmodiophora brassicae pathotypes in Czech Republic
Zacharová, Lea ; Kazda, Jan (advisor) ; Gerhard, Gerhard (referee)
Clubroot disease of crucifer plants is caused by a pathogen Plasmodiophora brassicae (Wor.). It is counted among the most common and most serious diseases that attack not only rape, but also, for example, head cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and other kinds of cabbage vegetables. Plasmodiophora brassicae is descirebed as a very durable and well-developed body in this thesis. Physical, chemical and biological components of the soil environment are in the thesis associated with an effect on survival, growth and reproduction of this microbe. Obviously, Plasmodiophora's brassicae successfulness is given due to its resting spores and because of them the microbe is able to survive in a soil for years. The experimental part of my thesis is focused on a testing of resistance of selected cultivars against Plasmodiophora brassicae. Each variety were grown under the control within conditions in the greenhouse. To evaluate the degree of a damage of the plants scale of Buzacki (1975), Strelkov et al. (2007) were applied, the index of an invasion was calculated based on these scales. Cultivars were exposed to a pathotype 6 and as a control variety was used the cultivar Granaat. The results had shown the most susceptible respond of a cultivar red cabbage F1 Loder and other varieties tested had confirmed their resistance to Plasmodiophora brassicae.
