Assessment of soil quality processed with conventional tillage in the selected site in the Olomouc region
Drlíková, Barbora ; Doležal, Petr (referee) ; Kameníčková, Ivana (advisor)
Diploma thesis documents the problems of soil quality, which is assessed on the basis of physical, chemical or biological indicators of soil quality. The paper describes the various indicators, its methodology and evaluation. In the practical part evaluates the quality of soil cultivated with the traditional way - using plowing. The experimental area, where the samples were taken from the soil, lies in the Olomouc region in the municipality Šumvald. Evaluated were selected physical, chemical and physico-chemical properties of soil, e.g. particle size distribution, bulk density, porosity, air capacity, hydrolimits, pH, carbonates, humus content and salinity of the soil.
Optimization of aggregate composition with max. grain 22 mm for concretes
Opat, Lubomír ; Vojtek, Miroslav (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of aggregate curve design, proportional representation of the individual separated aggregate sizes in the formula for concrete mixture. It clarifies the origin of aggregate types, from their mother rocks. It describes tests on aggregates, including the test of the shape suitability. In the practical part, there are nine formulas, two of them mixed with the maximum grain size of 16 mm, seven with the grain size of 22 mm. They are instances of fine curves or mixture of coarse curve. Aggregate dust or crushed fine aggregate was also used.
Hodnocení aberace půdy vybraných katastrů okresu Třebíč
Nováček, Miroslav
This bachelor thesis focuses on farmland aberration, which is the change in soil properties over time, this change can be positive or negative. To determine the form of aberration, the results of soil analysis were compared with the results of a Comprehensive soil survey from 1965, in the cadastral area of the municipalities of Hartvíkovice and Popůvky in the Třebíč district. The compared values include mainly soil exchange reaction, grain size and humus content. Various soil degradation processes, including water and wind erosion, acidification, loss of organic matter and compaction, cause the negative aberration. After analysis, the results showed that for all the probes examined, positive aberration occurred with an increase in pH and humus content. There was a change in the grain composition of the soils and some soil horizons were shortened.
Design of boundary conditions for mixtures for road base layers
Holubec, Matěj ; Hýzl, Petr (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of suitable composition of uncompacted mixtures and mixtures cemented with hydraulic binders for road pavement subbase layers. The theoretical part describes the characteristic properties and applications of the tested material. The practical part deals with the determination of the geometric properties of unbound mixtures and mixtures bound with hydraulic binder, which are determined on the basic of laboratory tests.
Quantitative description of textures in volcanic rocks: Case study of trachybasalt from Dubičná
Ditterová, Hana ; Dolejš, David (advisor) ; Rapprich, Vladislav (referee)
- iii - ENGLISH ABSTRACT Quantitative description of textures, in particular, the distribution of grain sizes, is becoming a powerful tool for interpreting kinetic processes that govern crystallization of igneous rocks. Variation in grain size are frequently represented by logarithm of population density vs. linear crystal size, where the majority of igneous rocks forms a linear trend. Its slope provides an estimate of characteristic grain size, or growth rate and crystallization time, whereas the intercept provides the nucleation density. The log-linear trend is predicted to result from kinetic nucleation and growth processes only, whereas its modifications such as kinks or curvature are due to mechanical separation or accumulation of crystals, magma mixing or Ostwald ripening (coarsening) in the presence of melt. In order to investigate the true, three-dimensional crystal size distribution, the raw two-dimensional data acquired from thin sections or rock slabs must be processed by various stereological methods. We illustrate application of quantitative textural measurements to distribution and origin of clinopyroxene crystals in a trachybasaltic lava flow from Dubičná near Úštěk. This effusion belongs to Cenozoic volcanic products in the Bohemian Massif, specifically to its main Eocene-Miocene stage in...
Hodnocení aberace vybraných ploch katastru obce Vlkov
Havlát, Martin
The subject of this research is a level of aberration of soil on selected sites in the land register of Vlkov u Osové Bítýšky village. During a Complex soil survey (1967/1968) were collected three samples In 1966 and 1967, in this territory. From these samples were selected data from texture analysis pH and humus. The old soil sampling sites were re-localized and from the very spots, new samples were taken from the depth of approximately 75 cm in order to gain current results. These new samples were analyzed in a laboratory and these results were compared with the 50 years old ones. This allowed us to evaluate changes in soil on the selected sites.
Kvalita povrchu při broušení tepelně zpracovaného dřeva ThermoWood®
Vrzal, Jan
This work is focused on evaluation of the surface quality of hydrothermally modified Thermowood® after sanding. Surface quality of the sanded material is evaluated according to the applied changes of cutting conditions. For comparison, this measurement is also done on pine wood. Surface roughness evaluation was performed using the KEYENCE device. The measured data were further evaluated using Microsoft Excel. Optimal conditions were chosen from the evaluated data.
Milling of asphalt layers of pavements
Brida, Peter ; Hýzl, Petr (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the comparison of the influence of the milling machine movement speed on the properties of RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement). The theoretical part describes issue of production and usage of RAP. The practical part evaluates the sieve size distributions of these materials and needle penetration and softening point of bitumen recovered from RAP samples.

Technologie broušení dřeva, stroje a nástroje
Slezáková, Světlana
The grinding process is important for treatment of the wood surface. There are many different machines for a sanding wood, whether manual or mechanical. By the correct grinding of a wooden surface it is achieved better final result. The thesis describes factors that influence the course of grinding. The main factors are the kind of wood, the moisture, the selected grinding tool and the technical condition of the machine. The main objective of the study is to determine and compare the change of surface roughness when changing the grit of the sanding belt and the grinding angle. There were chosen three angles at which the samples were grinded. The study also investigates relation between the coarse grit of the sanding belt and roughening of the surface. The research was conducted on the tree species beech (Fagus sylvatica). A second objective of the study is to prepare the background for the laboratory exercise and the lecture on the topic of grinding materials.
