Cars as sources of polluting substances and greenhouse gases in the light of legislation
Vodička, Jiří ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee)
Submitted thesis focuses on a topic which cannot be described as classical legal topic in the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, in times of climate change and general need of shift to zero emission transportation and sustainable development of our society, this topic is very much needed. The thesis provides a general framework of type approval legislation of new vehicles of the EU and national legal system with an emphasis on test cycles such as WLTP and RDE. The thesis analyses Euro emission norms which define thresholds for polluting substances from exhaust fumes and at the same time analyses union legal regulation of CO2 emissions from new vehicles. To fully develop zero emission transportation, it is necessary to have sufficient corresponding infrastructure (e.g. charging stations). Because of this dissertation focuses on legislation concerning alternative infrastructure and selected alternative fuels. The thesis also analyses specific legal instruments (direct and indirect) which could be used as tools for the development of zero emission transportation and for improvement of air quality, especially in urban areas. Within indirect legal instruments, state aid and other financial incentives which can promote the development of zero emission transport are analysed. Direct legal instruments such as...

The bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of a computational model and analysis of vehicle dynamics in connection with the principles and rules that are closely related to vehicle dynamics. We will use the key physical phenomena related to the driving dynamics of the model vehicle, suitable for modeling and analysis. The model will demonstrate the driving dynamics of vehicles in several appropriately selected situations and creates the possibility to compare the results with data obtained from freely available publications and tests.
Stanovení základních emisí z výfuků osobních vozidel ve vybraných úsecích dopravní trasy
KAHUDA, Jan
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of environmental pollution caused by the production of harmful substances originated from the automobile combustion engines and the calculation of production of basic pollutants emitted from the passenger car exhausts travelling on selected sections of transport route. The aim of the work was to calculate the amount of emitted harmful substances, according to the composition of the vehicle fleet on some selected monitored sections of transport routes. For analysis were selected three stretches of roads in České Budějovice. The analysis considered the vehicle fleet composition, determination of traffic intensity, average speed of vehicles and traffic fluency on the transport routes. The calculated values were obtained using the special software MEFA 13
Detection, Tracking and Classification of Vehicles
Vopálenský, Radek ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Juránek, Roman (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to design and implement a system for the detection, tracking and classification of vehicles from streams or records from traffic cameras in language C++. The system runs on the platform Robot Operating System and uses the OpenCV, FFmpeg, TensorFlow and Keras libraries. For detection cascade classifier is used, for tracking Kalman filter and for classification of the convolutional neural network. Out of a total of 627 cars, 479 were tracked correctly. From this number 458 were classified (trucks or lorries not included). The resulting system can be used for traffic analysis.

Analysis of new trends in design and use of transport and handling equipment and resources in agriculture
SOMMEROVÁ, Dana
The work deals with the analysis of transport and handling operations performed on specific agricultural farm. It is the handling and transport operations in the handling of grain and bulky materials. It also analyzes new trends in the marketfor transport and handling equipment. Based on these analyzes, was developed a proposal for the modernization of handling equipment and vehicles. Farm equipment was proposed appropriate means of transport and handling facilities, not only from a technical perspective, but also in terms of ecological and economic terms. For this reason, it was suggested some existing vehicles discarded, replaced with some new and straw at harvest to select a cost analysis to choose other means of transportation and handling due to changes in the way of the harvesting. In modernizing the proposed new transport and handling means for greater versatility, leading to the greater utilization, there by reducing unit costs.
Vehicle usage in emergency medical service stations in the Czech Republic
BRANDEJSKÝ, Miloš
The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) is one of the basic components of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS). The development of the EMS and the usage of new technologies enable an effective emergency management. Ambulances, the emergency service vehicles, are one of the most important aspects influencing the quality of care for a patient. These vehicles ensure the arrival of the EMS personnel on the site of a critical incident as soon as possible, the protection of the personnel, the protection of the patient during he transport and the equipment of ambulances and their size influence the care for a patient. Before the purchase of these vehicles the operation area, i.e. where and on what geological setting they will operate must be taken into account. Also the active and passive safety and technical parameteres must be taken into consideration. The vehicles must also comply with legal norms and norms declared by the manufacturer. Nowadays, when the market is filled with a great number of vehicle producers, vehicles made in the Czech Republic o and Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen are preferred. Specialist firms offer a wide range of car bodies and equipment tailored to the needs of the target client. The objective of the thesis was to compare the performance of vehicles in an operation area and to examine the efficiency of ambulances. The research set was formed by the personnel of the Emergency Medical Service stations in the South Bohemian region. The South Bohemian region was chosen for the diversity of the landscape morphology. The data were gathered by the questionnaire method, the research was anonymous. I set a group of 104 respondents {--} 63 drivers and 44 medical service providers. Questionnaires were composed of questions focused on the respondents´ experience with the ambulance fleet of the EMS. The research was conducted from 4th April to 17th April 2008. Four hypotheses were set: The hypothesis I {--} ambulance drivers prefer vehicles with a classical body, was confirmed. The results are a combination of a questionnaire and a discussion with the EMS personnel. The hypothesis II {--} ambulance drivers prefer vehicles with an enlarged body {--} was not confirmed. 54 % of respondents have enough room in ambulances with a classical body, 66 % have enough room in ambulances with an enlarged body. The hypothesis III {--} in the city traffic the rendez-vous system is being used {--} was not confirmed. According to 54 % of respondents out of the total number of 104 in the city transport cars are being used, but 15 % of respondents use ambulances with an enlarged body and 22 % of respondents never use the rendez-vous system. The hypothesis IV {--} ambulances with an enlarged body have enough room for emergency interventions in the prehospital emergency care {--} was confirmed. 66 % of respondents state that there is enough room in this type of an ambulance, 10 % state that there is not. The research data analysis shows that vehicles used by the EMS are reliable, quality and safety vehicles regardless of their make. Ambulance drivers prefer the vehicles with classical body because they are used to them. They criticise the vehicles with an enlarged body because of the increased width (only rear mirrors are bigger) which is the reason for slow passage in heavy traffic or through densely built-up sites. But the EMS providers prefer ambulances with classical body because they are used to the inner layout. The ambulances with an enlarged body have enough room for emergency interventions in the prehospital care but emergency care providers are not used to another inner layout. The results of my research will be published on newly formed websites {--} health care encyclopaedia {--} section automobiles.
