Problematika udržitelnosti produkce palmového oleje v Indonésii

This thesis is focued on the problem with the cultivation of oil palm and decribes the impacts on the environment in Indonesia. Firstly the thesis describes general knowledge and characteristics of the oil palm. Then analyzes the procedure of the production and the possible usage of the palm oil. Afterwards the thesis is focused on the reasons and the circumstances which led to the mass cultivation of the oil palm in Indonesia. In the next part is labelled the problem of the degradation of the environment in Indonesia due to the mass cultivation of the oil palm. The thesis also desribes the possible future outcomes in a way in which the palm oil industry might lead and what the future demand might be. In the very end of the thesis the tools are set by the author which are based on the knowledge from the topic. This tools might ensure a better protection of the environment in Indonesia in the future.

Rozvoj města Chebu v kontextu vývoje ploch brownfields

The bachelor thesis deals with the buildings of brownfields located within the city Cheb and their impact on the development of the city. The objective of the thesis is to identify these brownfields and to analyse their development and relationship of the city to these buildings. Part of the work is also the characteristic of the city including a brief development during the last fifteen years. Both parts are subsequently discussed with the purpose of proposing possible solutions for more efficient use of the buildings and premises which are not regenerated yet.

Lesnická bioekonomika jako součást národní strategie pro bioekonomiku

This bachelor’s thesis describes and evaluates currently valid documents concerning bioeconomy on national and European level. The thesis also deals with activities connected to bioeconomy on both, national and European level, and analyses the role of forestry in bioeconomy. Last but not least, the thesis deals with individual products of forest ecosystems and evaluates their importance. It deals especially with usability of forest biomass as a reusable raw material in energetics and other industries. In conclusion, the thesis mentions important aspects of strategies for bioeconomy and bioeconomy’s potential disadvantages.

Eco materials made from recycled plastics and other waste material

The work deals with the use of waste in design. It is divided into two main parts. In the first part, the work consists of a theoretical analysis of the process, which is the primary source of eco design ideas. It follows development of ecological design, its fundamental ideas and explains negative impacts of the furniture industry on the environment. The second part presents an analysis of selected companies that produce innovative materials from waste. These are mainly materials that can be used in the production of furniture or as interior elements. Based on the analysis, a new waste material combination is presented.

Plán udržitelné městské mobility: případová studie Statutárního města Brna

Diploma thesis deals with strategic planning of sustainable mobility in the Statutory City of Brno, whose output is the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Brno, and with the evaluation of future impacts of its selected measures on the stakeholders in the chosen area. The first part of thesis presents the sustainable mobility concept and its use in the urban area. Further the first part describes the sustainable urban mobility planning process in the city of Brno. The second part of thesis is introduced by stakeholder analysis in the process of implementation of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Brno. Their opinions on the future impacts of selected measures of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Brno are searched though the series of interviews. Based on their evaluation and the multicriterial assessment of selected measures the reccomendations for future managing of their implementation are formulated.

Problematika odpadů v obci Rajhradice

We come into contact with municipal waste every normal day. Recycling plays an important role, where each of us can contribute to a more efficient way of disposing of waste and thus contribute to the protection of the environment. This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of waste in the village Rajhradice. The first part of the thesis defines a theoretical overview of waste management in the Czech Republic, the basic concepts, current legislation and municipal waste management. The second part defines the characteristics of the village Rajhradice, where the analysis of waste management was subsequently processed, a questionnaire survey was conducted among residents and a structured interview with the mayor. Finally, these results were evaluated and measures for improvement in the field of municipal waste management were proposed.
