Some aspects of the everyday life in DPRK

This bachelor's thesis tries to document everyday life of a young man, fostering and education of him in DPRK with a focus on the capital city. The key source of information is a record of a story of an emigrant about his childhood, school, family and growing-up in the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea - Pyongyang. His personal experience, observations and knowledge confronted with other sources and literature have expressive value in comprehending the real life of citizens in DPRK deprived of their basic human rights by the communist regime. The transformation of provincial repertoire theatre (Municipal Theatre in Most 1985-1995)

This diploma thesis deals with the decade of the Municipal theatre Most's existence in the years 1985 -1995. The first part of my thesis concentrates on the evolution of the theater making in Most region from the very beginning till the 80ties of the 20th century. The second part is dedicated to the construction and the final appearance of the theatre building by the architect Ivo Klimeš, then it describes The Workers' theatre in Most at the time of the director Zbyněk Srba's arrival accompanied by DAMU students and introduces some crucial plays on Most's stage in the years 1985-1995. Special chapter focuses on the Velvet Revolution and its influence on the Theatre Most.
1973 - 1982 DRAK Theatre and origins of the social emancipation in Czech puppet theatre (The best performances of Josef Krofta)

This diploma thesis remarks on the beginning of the equality of rights and the complete social recognition of the puppetry in Czech theatres in the years 1973 - 1982. The thesis deals with the history of the East Bohemian theatre DRAK in Hradec Kralove from its foundation, it describes the arrival of the director Josef Krofta, Prague's performances of DRAK in 1977, the first tours abroad, it observes DRAK in the context of totality, it outlines Krofta's directorial principles and the perspective of the DRAK's Theatre poetics within a decade. Significant attention is dedicated to the reconstruction of the top chosen period plays from the DRAK Theatre, directed by Josef Krofta, because these plays reflect the best the emancipation of the Czech puppet theatre.
GULAG as a Life - Experience : The Soviet Repressive System of 30. - 50.'s in 20th century in narrations and memoir literature

The Abstract The main focus of the diploma thesis named "GULAG as a life experience" is on the Soviet repressive system in the era of 30's to 50's of the 20th century. There are two approaches in this thesis: the first one is concerning the narrating and memory, the other point of view is the topics reflecting in the narrations. Both, oral and written stories are used, the written ones are prevailing. In the third chapter, I deal with the topic of human memory and its relation to history and telling about past. I am posing the question concerning the relation between memory and society, memory and history, how do the people conceive their narrations, what sort of language tools and schemes of telling do they use and what the differences between oral and written narrations are. This empirically focused part of the thesis is forgone by a theoretical part dealing with the mentioned topics. All is illustrated by using examples from the life stories of survivors. The other main topic is discussed in the eighth chapter, dealing with topics often appearing in the memories of the survived people. As well as in the other part I am using here the examples of the life stories for better illustration of the explained topic. Milada Horakova as the symbol of anti-communist opposition after February 1948

This bachelor thesis analyses historical sources and other literature and compares them to find out what had led to the execution of Milada Horakova in the respective trial. The author concluded that there is certain correlation between political opinion of this politician and her conviction in the respective political trial. Certainly, even other factors played some role.
