Analysis of Enery Using of Coffee Pellets
Sedláček, Daniel ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of my thesis was to develop a comprehensive study on the energy use of the coffee waste called spent coffee grounds. The study conducted a complete fuel analysis, TGA analysis, experimental drying and pelletization, combustion tests and basic economic evaluation.
Rotary drying and sintering kilns
Rafaj, Svatomír ; Hudák, Igor (referee) ; Skryja, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with rotary drying and sintering kilns. The first part focused upon construction of the kilns, kiln processes and the options of technological arrangement of the kilns. The thesis second part presents two experiments. The first one is targeted to find the relation between residence time, kiln rotary speed and kiln slope in longitudinal direction. The examinations analysed individually the relation between kiln rotary speed and residence time and the relation between kiln slope and residence time. Finally, the regression equation describing the relation between holding time, kiln rotary speed and kiln rake was established. The results given by regression equation much closer to the real one then the results given by literature. The difference between real residence time and the regression one is about one minute. The second one is concerned with producing a set of equations with respect of mass and heat balance in case of drying process. The input material was wet crushed tetra packs. There were established technological conditions of the material, necessary burner energy input, heat losses and distribution of heat between material and flue gas. There were taken away almost 80 percent of heat energy by flue gases. The remaining 20 percent was divided between latent heat, material and heat losses through the shell of the rotary kiln.
Drying and preheating in potting process of epoxides
Matoušová, Klára ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kazelle, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is dealing with the defects in epoxy resin flooded transformer devices. Since these can be damaged severely in terms of quality by numerous forces, the main focus is dedicated to the impact of moisture. The thesis describes the manufacturing technology including the methods applied and materials used. It further encompasses the composition of epoxy resin and the mechanisms used for their hardening processes. Additionally, the description of the moisture, the impact of adverse forces and the method of their elimination using drying is presented. In the experimental part of the paper, a moisture of the banding materials was measured. On the basis of the results acquired, the paper reaches a conclusion on the ideal time frame of drying, the sufficiency of materials in terms of drying and in two cases two substitutes for contemporary uneasily dryable samples were considered.
Proposal dryers for biomass
Hrnčířová, Michaela ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with reducing the moisture content of biomass drying and its subsequent use as biofuel. The work is a belt drying and its integration into the system with a grate boiler. It proposes a variety of drying options for use of different drying media. In the end, an economic evaluation of the combustion system uses a belt dryer, and a system without any possibility of drying the fuel before it enters the boiler.
Usability of stillage from ethanol production
Audy, Dan ; Večeř, Marek (referee) ; Leštinský, Pavel (advisor)
This work solves the use of stillage from ethanol production. Also solves processing into material DDGS and then solves the material and energy balance. This material and energy balance was calculated for 7070 kg of stillage per hour. The final energy requirements of the process were based on the amount of stillage produced to obtain 1 m3 of ethanol. The results of this work offer an insight to the problems of processing stillage. Thanks to conversion for 1 m3 of produced ethanol, results is also offerring the possibility of fast conversion of an approximate energy needed for devices of other capacities.
Digitalization of control of lyofilisation process
Richter, Mojmír ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The present work deals with the technological process lyophilization. The work is aimed at optimizing the management of temperature and pressure during the process.
Hand dryer
Stránská, Aneta ; Buganská, Tamara (referee) ; Rajlich, Jan (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is design of hand dryer. The aim is create original and elegant project which will use the modern technologies to achieve high efficiency of drying and satisfy economic, ecologic and hygienic demands of the present. The design is inspired with rounded shapes that are casual at bathroom and sanitary products. Interesting is the composing of glass behind which hands are drying. Thanks to using of the newest casual technologies is dryer high function device, which dries your hands in a few moments.
Material characterization of novel hydrogels containing humic substances intended for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications
Pavlicová, Renata ; Weidlich, Tomáš (referee) ; Sedláček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the development and characterization of hydrogels containing humic substances with possible use in cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. This work follows on the bachelor thesis, theoretical and experimental part is based on already acquired knowledge. The aim of this work was to develop a literature review focusing on the potential use humic gels in practice and also to enhance the consistency of other active ingredients. Based on this literature review, the main aim was to prepare model humic hydrogels with selected active ingredients and their characterization by basic methods of material analysis. These basic methods were especially rheology and visual assessment of consistency during the preparation, then the samples were subjected process of drying and swelling. Experimental results showed considerable influences during the preparation and composition of each sample, which then reflected in their structure and consistency. Furthermore, it was found that the suitable composition and combination of ingredients form hydrogels acceptable characteristics for further use in cosmetic or pharmaceutical applications.
Dependence of flow properties of plastics on water content and technological parameters
Ohnút, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Miroslav (referee) ; Kandus, Bohumil (advisor)
Bachelor thesis was focused on detection the effect of moisture on the injection process. Two commonly used materials polyamide (PA66) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) were selected in the first step. The polymers were characterized to moisture analysis to determine the moisture content depending on time and temperature of drying. The experiment was carried out on a provisional injection mold due to non-possession of the mold cavity in the shape of Archimedes spiral. Weight of samples and injection pressure were observed in dependence to the percentage of moisture content in granulate
Sewage sludge incineration
Švehlová, Tereza ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Bébar, Ladislav (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with the problem of sewage sludge from wastewater treatment plants and their subsequent incineration. Main aim is compare some possibilities of the energy use of mechanically dewatered sewage sludge and sewage sludge with previous anaerobic pre-treatment for various levels of drying sludge.
