Event-based rainfall-runoff modelling of the selected river basin
TICHÁČEK, Pavel
This thesis deals with the event-based rainfall-runoff modelling of the selected river basin. This thesis is based on my previous work "Factors affecting the water discharge from the river basin during rainfall-runoff events". In that work I described factors, which have effect on water runoff from the river basin. This thesis was solved on basin of Jílecký stream. Water runoff from basin is affected with a number of factors, the most significant are slope of the terrain, soil saturation, geological and pedological conditions, vegetation cover and anthropogenic influence. Calculations of direct runoff were realised with method of CN curves, with using BPEJ map, land use map gained from Corine Land Cover 2006 and maximum daily precipitation sums with 2, 10, 20, 50 and 100 years probabilities recurrence obtained from the rainfall station Netřebice. Calculations were performed in a numerical method using vector data and a raster method performed in ArcMap. In the next step I performed simulations of various scenarios of change in river basic characteristics such as soil saturation change, grassing of arable land with a slope greater than 12°, grassing of all arable land and enlargement the built-up area in the river basin.
Variability of hydropedological characteristics in model catchments of Blanice River headwater area
Kozáková, Jana ; Kliment, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Královec, Václav (referee)
In this thesis are based on the scientific literature defined selected hydropedologic characteristics and is described their impact on motion and amount of water.in the soil and also on the runoff process. In this thesis are quoted methods that can be used for measuring motion and amount of water. Data obtained on several field campaigns and continuous measurement of soil moisture sensors Virrib was processed. Field campaign took place in catchments of Zbytinský and Tetřívčí stream, which are paired comparative experimental catchments. The continuous soil moisture was measured at three places, which differ in their vegetation and soil cover. Data Analysis was concentrate to evaluate soil moisture measured by Virrib, which were compared to soil moisture determined during field campaigns. The continuous soil moisture was measured at three places, which differ in their vegetation and soil cover. The results show that differences and similarities in the vegetation and soil cover greatly reflect on soil moisture. Subsequent comparison of two differently obtained soil moisture should show that the values obtained from Virrib are representative. But comparations of values discover, that in Virrib measurement can be found some inaccuracies. Keywords: hydropedological characteristics, runoff process,...
Land cover changes in Ore Mountains and their possible impact on rainfall-runoff process
Kratochvílová, Petra ; Jeníček, Michal (advisor) ; Královec, Václav (referee)
Land cover changes in Ore mountains and their possible impact on rainfall-runoff process Abstract Land cover changes have occurred since the formation of Earth, but increasingly, these changes mainly in anthropogenic characters, a big problem in many places around the world. It is, therefore, necessary to monitor how land cover changes, and its impact on individual natural processes and use these results of studies in preventing or fix possible consequences of these changes. More and more disciplines are, therefore, also examines this issue. This paper deals with the assessment of land cover change and its impact on rainfall- runoff process, focusing mainly on mountain basin where this influence manifests itself most expressive, both influencing the water balance of the basin, and influence responses to extreme hydrological events. The findings are applied to the upper basin Chomutovka in the Ore mountains where the thesis evaluates changes in land cover on the basis of aerial photos from 1975, 1987 and the present day (2010). Changes are visualized using digital vectorization and color differentiation of areas of individual land cover types, further processed into a map series and subsequently quantified. According to the results are established the major factors of possible rainfall-runoff processes in...
Study of a small catchment water regime.
Bažatová, Tereza ; Kovář, Pavel (advisor) ; Štibinger, Jakub (referee)
This dissertation thesis, Study of a small catchment water regime, is a compilation of four studies published (or accepted to be published) in scientific journals of varying impact factors. Thematically, the thesis focuses on the question of water regimes with regards to hydrological modelling.
Factors affecting the water discharge from the river basin during rainfall-runoff events
TICHÁČEK, Pavel
This thesis focuses on the factors affecting runoff water from the basin during the rainfall-runoff events. Work begins by describing the circulation of water in nature and continues with hydrological balance. Next chapter is the formation of precipitation and water runoff, in which the water outflow is divided into surface and subsurface. In the work is characterized runoff process and there are described factors that affect water runoff from the watershed. The last part describes the possibility of using these factors for creating erosion and flood control.
Evaluation of erosion control measures described in GAEC II by using hydrological modeling
HRDINA, Filip
Erosion is an issue, which causes huge damages not only on agricultural land. This diploma thesis describes practical evaluation of erosion control measures (usage of leaving crop residue, circuit strips, contour tillage), which are include in Good Agriculture and Environmental Condition standart, which was issued by European union. Efficiency of usage of narrow-row and wide-row crops is also modeled. Each measures were evaluated in two different modeling programmes HydroCad for calibration and ERCN for results comparison. Seven different scripts are used in the thesis. Subcatchment area P6 in catchment area of Kopaninský creek is used as model area. Literature review describes the precipitation and runoff process, issue of erosion, and agriculture land protection against water erosion. Is also describes GAEC standards (today DZES).
Curve Numbers in Models and Programs Using to Project Landscaping
ZELNÍČKOVÁ, Hana
The whole work is about runoff curve numbers. This method was developed by Soil Conservation Service. This method may be used in projections of land consolidations. The runoff curve number procedure uses certain climatic data and the characteristics of a watershed to convert rainfall data to runoff volume. It may be used in projections of precaution against erosion. There are a lot of programs based on runoff curve number procedure so this work choose only some of them. There are WBCM and KINFIL models and programs like DesQ-MaxQ, HydroCAD and HEC-HMS.
