The diploma thesis deals with the topic "Recreational potential of the middle watercourse of Váh river". In the literature part are defined basic concepts of tourism and its potential, recreation and its potential, recreational landscape and its potential and capacity. The diploma thesis characterizes the impacts of recreation on the environment, the impacts of tourism on the economy, methods of evaluation of tourism and recreational potential and revitalization of watercourses. The next part of the work describes the area of interest from various perspectives, modified but close-to-nature watercourse and a technical canal and includes the results of the field research and photographs. The final part contains the evaluation of the effect of revitalization measures of watercourses on the recreational value of the area, a summary of the results and propose measures.

Study of river restoration measures of suburban watercourse

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of river restoration. Selected watercourse, which was inappropriately technically modified, had been mapped in detail and land use map was compiled. The watercourse was divided into sections, which were described in detail and assessed for suitability for restoration action. The new nature-friendly channel was designed on the selected section of the watercourse. Technical graphic documentation was designed.

Economic evaluation of the current revitalization of watercourses in urban areas, with emphasis on the concept of ecosystem services

This thesis examines the impact of the concept of ecosystem services in the evaluation of the social costs and benefits of urban watercourse revitalization. Its possible use is shown on the specific selected project. The theoretical part explains the economic substance of ecosystem services, defines related terms, introduces different approaches of various economic schools to the concept and describes its historical development. The practical part then quantifies the net social benefits and costs of the selected project using cost- benefit analysis extended by the concept of ecosystem services. In the conclusion, the objective indicators are calculated and analysed in order to identify the strengths and weeknesses of using the concept of ecosystem services.

Management of the Headwater Area of Jihlava River

This Bachelor work deals with the management of the headwater area of the Jihlava River. The work is based on the detected state of the headwater area of the Jihlava River, which is currently very ecologically unstable from the reasons of the improper regulations and agricultural interventions. This situation is described and evaluated in the work. On the base of the results such corrective measures are suggested, which lead to ecological stability increase in the headwater basin, especially regarding drainage conditions. This measures can serve as the base for the initiation and realization of comprehensive landscape adjustments. For these purposes the management of the individual municipalities will be asked for their opinion regarding the realization of the comprehensive landscape adjustments.

This thesis focuses on the issue of water elements in the landscape. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part has been investigating the types of water elements and their properties using the available literature. The second part contains the actual work that is elaborated in a study of water elements in the cadastral municipality Semanín. The main work is focused on the analysis of the historical development and current condition of water elements. The current condition is evaluated using the methodology that tracks particular hydromorphological condition, water quality, accompanying aquatic vegetation of the elements, the overall look and a management of the water elements. In case that the water feature shows some of the parameters evaluated as negative, measures are proposed (care management), which are intended to improve these parameters. Technology of measure is proposed on the basis of commonly used methods for management of watercourses and areas.

The Arrangement of Revitalization Usable in Practice of Water Management with an Application to Particular River Basin.

The aim of this dissertation is to develop a concept of revitalization of Srbický stream, including its tributaries. The suggestion of arrangement should support an increase of water and environmental stability of the basin. It contains technical and biological revitalization, including the objects of revitalization in the bed of the stream, the estabilishment of restoration of pond reservoirs, designing the localization of wetland areas, oxbow stream restoration, afforestation of the stream banks and erosion - threatened catchment areas. The solution is based on a thorough evaluation of the documents - hydrological, pedological, hydrogeological and vegetative - and on the results of detailed field survey of the area. The proposal follows the processed local territorial system of ecological stability.

Zhodnocení stavu toku Semíč a návrh opatření

In my diploma thesis Evaluation of the flow Semíč and a draft measure I summarized the literature review dealing with the revitalization of watercourses and water pollution. The aim of the study was to conduct a survey of the watercourse Semíč and its water-shed. Another objective was water sampling and evaluation of selected indicators of water quality in the laboratory. Samples were taken and evaluated for the period 2013/2014 and the one calculated averages. Analyses of zinc, copper and aluminium have been performed with respect to their financial costs twice, once analysis cadmium. The results were compared with the data obtained from the 1992 and 2002/2003. The comparison of the results over time shows that some indicators marked improve-ment in contrast to certain values worsened. Results from the period 2013/2014 reflect the improving quality of surface waters. However, it is still necessary to improve the management of farmland with an emphasis on erosion, proper crop rotation and fertilizer application. In the future, it is necessary to focus on better drainage and wastewater treatment.

Assessment of the current status of previously treated small streams

This work deals with problems in the sphere of rivers mainly of their functions, reconstruction and construction. My object in this work is the review of these rivers in the present area and the suggestion of the revitalization measure in all basin of the Zahorany Brook. This bachelor?s work contains the description, the construction and the evoluation of the draining system of farmlands.
