This graduation theses analyses intercompany comparisons using one-dimensional and multi-dimensional methods. It focuses on enterprises actuating in terms of a subsegment of national economy – building industry. Factors that influence the performance of companies most in this field will be selected by using correlation coefficient. Its economic development during the years and also characteristics of the industry will be described in details.

Fundamental Equities Analysis and its Effect on Decision Making in Praxis

The subject of this thesis on fundamental equities analysis, which is considered one of the most commonly used methods for valuing securities, is to make the best investment in the chosen field into the selected equity companies. In the first part of the thesis there is a brief outline of other types of analysis together with other theoretical approaches but the main problem to be solved is the fundamental analysis. The second part is devoted to the selection and characterization of joint-stock companies of the same field and then selecting assessment indicators. The third part deals with the analysis of individual companies using selected methods of intercompany comparison from two different points of view. The final part conveys the comparison of selected methods of intercompany comparisons for both points of view and the proposal of the most suitable investment.

Evaluation of Company Financial Performance using Benchmarking Approach

This master thesis is focused on the issue of financial performance of Farmet a.s., primarily using a benchmarking method. The first part of the paper consists of theoretical foundations to the given issue. Furthermore, the characterization of the chosen company and its strategic analysis follow. The main part of the thesis is focused on an execution of benchmarking – a comparison of the selected company with three competitors. Finally, the achieved outcomes and recommendations for the company are stated in conclusion.
