Issues of Values of Education in Postmodern Society in the Early 21st Century

The aim of the thesis is to outline the issues of current conception of values as moral standards in postmodern society and to identify the consequences of this conception for education. The thesis tries to analyze current pluralist society on the base of literature, which is relevant to given subject. The thesis deals with a question, if and under what conditions is possible to determine socially valid values and if is possible to integrate them into the process of education. The text is divided into two chapters, the first of them deals with issues of postmodern society, pluralism and philosophical deconstruction and tries to indicate relations with education. The second chapter is focused on the problem of values, current educational objectives and the last part of this chapter is focused on the authority of education in current society. ANALYSIS OF CONTEMPORARY LIFE-STYLE ACCORDING TO GILLES LIPOVETSKY AND MICHEL MAFFESOLI: COMPARISON AND CONFRONTATION OF SELECTED THEMES, PROBLEMS AND CONTROVERSIES

The thesis analyzes and compares the approaches of two authors dealing with phenomena in contemporary society. It focuses mainly on issues of lifestyle and values. The thesis asks questions related to socialization and individualization of society. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is about definition of the basic terms (postmodernism, lifestyle, values). The second part is devoted to the concept of Gilles Lipovetsky. The third part focuses on the concept of Michel Maffesoli. In the fourth section, there is a comparison of these two concepts, where we are primarily focused on tracing argumentation clashes and controversies. In the final part, there is the presentation of the main questions and ideas, that come out on the basis of this comparison.
Abortion versus Free CHoice

The topic of the bachelor work is: decision making process concerning the question to undergo or not abortion in a free pluralist society. The main part of the work characterizes and summarizes choice of information about the decision making process from a point of view of psychology, sociology and ethic. It continues on a theoretical level mapping social-ethic aspects that can - and also needn´t - influence the independent choice of an individual. Society approach to these problems differs based on particular values the society recognizes, amount and content of philosophical, ethical and religious theories that the free pluralist society accepts and respects.
