Production of Knives

This theses deals with cold weapons topic. The first part describes historical development of European swords and weapons originating from them. Further on the thesis presents material analysis and comparison of steels used for cold weapons production. It also shows different production methods including a brief note about the difference between forged and gringed blade. Then the thesis outlines differences among various blade shapes and how these shapes define their cutting characteristics and usage. The closing part of the thesis deals with blade geometry and grinding technology.

Production of a given tools and their sharpening on a CNC grinder Reinecker

The goal of this bachelor´s thesis is to show the ways and advantages of manufacture and grinding of cutting tools on Reinecker CNC tool and cutter grinding machine.These ways and advantages will be demostrated during manufacture of boring tool, which is used for preboring during boring of deep holes. Various ways of grinding will be compared to get and then chosen optimal type of tool.

In this work is quote basic division technologies and method used at cut and sharpening cutting tools and their successive analysis. Next are quote basic machines and tools used at sharpening. Knowledge about individual method are compared and recommend to utilization in practice.
