Financing of Ecological Investments with the Support of Structural Funds of EU

This diploma thesis focuses on financing of ecological investments, let us say financing of alternative sources of energy, especially fotovoltaic eletric power stations. In one part the thesis focuses on the list of structural funds and ways of financing. The thesis offers the abstract of legislation and limitations which goes with the applicants in all periods of projects. The analysis of the background concerning the financing ecological investments in the Czech Republic is the integral part of thesis. The practical part of the thesis shows if the ecological project could be interesting and beneficial for investors. The Cost Benefit Analysis could be instrumental for finding out the relevant information.

Analysis of drawing of the EU structural funds by public universities in the Czech Republic

This paper focuses on the analysis of absorption of EU structural funds by public universities in the Czech Republic in the period of 2007-2013 under the operational programmes Education for Competitiveness OP, Research and Development for Innovation OP, Prague Adaptability OP and Prague Competitiveness OP. Emphasis is put on the differences between Prague and outside Prague public universities, considering that Prague is the only Czech region that exceeds 75% of the average GDP per capita in the EU and the schools based in there have different access to the resources from the Structural Funds than outside Prague schools. The analysis compares the number of projects of Czech public universities, as well as the amount of funds drawn by them. There has been created a value used for comparison by applying the total amount of funds drawn by Prague and outside Prague public universities to students in these two areas. In the last chapter of the work, there are some possible effects of unequal distribution of resources and problems associated with their drawing outlined through a discussion with several experts. Among these impacts and problems are included circumvention of the rules, filled absorptive capacity of outside Prague regions, high cost of sustainability of projects funded via OPRDI and a risk...

European Union funds and their impact on the cultural life in Soběslav

This work consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part provides basic information of the European Union and the integration of the Czech Republic into the EU. Further it deals with a regional structural policy and explains terms such as operational programs of the EU, NUTS or EU funds. Eventually, the concept of the project, types and phases of the project and what the applicant to do to obtain a grant from the fund are explained. The next practically and specifically oriented part deals with the town of Soběslav. It shows examples of the disbursement of funds for projects in the locality, gathers information about these projects and also brings evaluation of a questionnaire survey, which sought to obtain information about the impact of EU funds on the life in Soběslav, or more precisely, information about the awareness of the population of the city and surroundings of these projects. I have chosen the town of Soběslav, because it is my hometown and I know it, its environs and many local residents very well.

Primarily the work deals how much was been reached from expected financial allocation resources and the resulting drawdown of funds divided into areas in which the finance income in countries and whether there really to fulfilled the commitments made by the country in the operational programs at the beginning of the programming period 2007 2013.
