This diploma thesis focuses on shopping behaviour of consumers with physical disabilities in Brno. The aim of this thesis is to set some recommendations for shops and retailers in Brno. These recommendations can help improve shopping conditions and situation for physically disabled consumers and make their pur-chase easier and more pleasant. For this purpose, it was necessary to characterise the buying behaviour, to identify factors, which affect physically disabled consum-ers during shopping and to identify problems and obstacles encountered during purchasing process. Individual in-depth interviews with physically disabled peo-ple (nr = 24) and observation (np = 4) were used to investigate shopping behav-iour. Based on the results, it was found the biggest obstacles for the handicapped are a height of shelfs and a cash desk, a queue, barriers and obstacles in the aisle and occupied parking places for handicapped. The special cash desk for handi-capped and other disadvantage groups, reaching device and the control of parking lot are the main solutions for these obstacles.

Served suggestion of changes in the purchasing structure to the satisfaction of the customer in term sof delivery dates, quality and cost. Analyzes the current state of purchasing process and suggest, based on critical points further steps to improve the situation of management contracts. Evaluates the theoretical approaches and implementation conditions with all the benefits.

The master's thesis deals with the purchasing process of network trade within its information system. The thesis focuses in more detail on the individual purchasing activities that take place in the purchasing process. The aim of the analysis of these activities is to find critical points and propose appropriate improvements. The submitted proposals and changes in the information system contribute to streamlining the purchasing process and ultimately to effective management of supplier-customer relationships and customer satisfaction.

Automation of purchasing processes

This research paper addresses the concept of automation within the context of direct procurement. It firstly aims to determine the theoretical extent to which it is possible to automate procurement processes and secondly, it aims to simulate the automation of specific processes in real business environment. The theoretical extent was determined via possible scenarios which automation could evolve into. The simulated automation was described on three distinct process steps and followed by quantitative and qualitative evaluation. Areas for significant savings were identified. The main contribution of this paper lies in specifying the maximum costs the business should pay for automating the three process steps.

Sustainable procurement

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate sustainable procurement practices of companies in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided in two parts. The first part focuses on theoretical background of sustainable procurement and its implementation in the company. The second part of the thesis elaborates on implementations of the theory outlined in the first part. Based on a survey, the author analyses sustainable procurement practices of large companies in the Czech Republic.
