Terminology of the new Civil Code regarding to easements and analysis of equivalent expression in French

The theme of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of terms in the New Czech Civil Code from the area of servitudes and their translation into French. The thesis is divided into two parts a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part firstly deals with situating a legal language in a specialized writing style, then with its particular characteristics. Next, it depicts differences between French and Czech on an essential level, then on a legal level. At the end it shows methods of translation. The practical part chooses terms to translate which are analyzed afterwards. In the end of the analysis, there is one French equivalent attached to each original Czech term. A glossary of both terms is to be found in the end of the thesis. It contains both Czech terms and their French equivalents. A conclusion in Czech and a résumé in French summarize the whole thesis.
Equivalence in the translations of the German legal texts into Czech

This diploma thesis entitled "Equivalence in the translations of the German legal texts into Czech" focuses on the specific professional legal language and its translation in the European Union. The thesis introduces the concept definitions and main types of equivalence. Furthermore, it deals with theoretical and practical observation of equivalent legal terms in the German-Czech context. The aim of the work is to determinate the frequency of equivalence types in the observed text. Aspects of translation are based on the analysis of professional legal texts from "Directive on the right to information in criminal proceedings".
Variants of translation of German compounds into Czech (illustrated with translation of economic texts)

There are lot of variants how to translate German compounds into Czech. The reason is that in German the composition takes the most important place among the word-forming pattern. In Czech the main word-forming pattern is the derivation. This is the reason, why it is not possible to translate German compound into Czech by using the compound. The aim of the work is to create the summary of variants on the basis of analysis of economic texts. The texts are professional, so it is not possible to omit the terms, because the terms are the main charakterisctic of technical language.

Lexical specifics of the French legal language in the area of criminal law and their translation into the Czech language are the subject of this bachelor thesis. The thesis is composed of two main parts, the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part provides some basic information about legal language. This part describes the difference between Czech and French legal languages. Methods and procedures of translation are mentioned here as well. The practical part focuses on the analysis of selected French legal terms and deals with the problem of their translation into the Czech language, it means into the language of a different legal system. With the support of specialized sources translation solutions of selected terms are proposed here. The bachelor thesis is concluded with French-Czech glossary.
