This bachelor thesis on the topic of "Evaluation of maturity of apricot varieties based on physicochemical parameters" describes the theoretical part of history and characteristics of apricots, as well as the ripening and storage and the changes during ripening and storage. The thesis deals with the changes in the material composition during ripening and storage for 7 days at 18 ° C in two stages of ripeness (ripe and overripe). In the practical part three varieties of apricots were monitored. The observed changes regarded fetal body weights, weight stones fruits, soluble solids content, titratable acids content and the fruit's peel strength. The following varieties of apricots were observed: 'Adriana', 'Betinka' and 'Marlen'. The source of the fruits of the varieties was the school orchard at the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice. The determination of soluble solids content was performed by using the PALETTE digital refractometer ATAGO. For the determination of titratable acids the visual indication of equivalence point to phenolphthalein was used. The measured values were presented in the form of spreadsheets and graphs and evaluated. The achieved results apply to a given piece of land and year. It was confirmed that there is a decrease of fetal weight, the content of titratable acids and firmness of the fruits' peel during the ripening and storage. The increase of the degree of ripeness of soluble solids content during storage was confirmed as well.
Hodnocení vzájemného synergismu u fytoplazmy ESFY a viru šarky švestky (PPV) u vybraných peckovin

The present work deals with problems of synergic effect which may arise between phytoplasma ESFY and potyvirus PPV. Both diseases are globally widespread and extremely dangerous. When infected the plants show infection signs followed by dying. In this paper we deal with the effects of these diseases on apricot a peach trees. Major part of the apricot tree poplulation in the Czech Republic are overmature, and thus inclined to developing uncontrolled infections.
Studium složení kultivačních médií pro množení odrůd meruněk metodou in vitro

In vitro reproduction represents a vegetative way of multiplication, in which small disinfected pieces of plant (explants) are cultivated in a nutritious medium in sterile conditions in order to gain whole new plants. This method, also called micropropagation, is often used for research purposes and more and more often for commercial applications too. This work studies nutritious media for apricots. For Prunus armeniaca cultivars best described media are for bud and embryo cultures. Many different media were tested and it was shown that every cultivar of apricot has its own requirements of nutrition and growth regulators. In this work you can find descriptions of many successfuly used media for apricots along with responses of various cultivars to them.

Diploma thesis "Summer pruning of apricots, possibilities and suitability of application" discusses the issue of summer pruning. The first part is a literature analysis summarizing the theoretical principles of apricot pruning. The second part describes the methodology and conduction of the experiment and consequently evaluates observed data. The conclusion gives space for discussion and brief evaluation of the dissected theme. The annex supports the study with additional pictures and graphic outputs.
