Abrasive Water Jet
Kopečný, Libor ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This dissertation thesis is focused on explaining the broad issue of the non-conventional machining by an abrasive water jet. Introductory chapters deal with various techniques and methods of water-jet cutting and analyze them. Then the following text provides us with a detailed description of the machine itself so that people can understand the way how this technology works. The third chapter is focused on the quality of the resulting surface and the possibility of affecting it by technological parameters. This part is connected with the practical part of my thesis, in which the resultant surfaces of various materials made by different cutting parameters were compared. Subsequent section outlines the development of this technology. The last chapter contains technical and economic evaluation.
Porovnání plastových výtisků vyrobených na vybraných modelech 3D tiskáren
JANOVSKÝ, Daniel
In this Bacherol Thesis I am comparing mechanical properties and a surface quality of selected samples, which were printed out using three different 3D printers. Input ma-teriál used for all three printers was plastic. A total of three tests will be performed on the printed samples to compare their properties, namely material tensile test, notch impact test and optical surface quality test. Different 3D printers will be used to print the samples, which are the Creality Ender-3 V2, the PRUSA i3 MK3 and a modified Tevo Tarantula printer with replaced components. The models were processed for 3D printing with PrusaSlicer.
Pilový kotouč v procesu podélného řezání materiálů na bázi dřeva
Veselý, Přemysl
In this dissertation thesis there is listed characteristics of circular saw blades, their distribution, influence of construction adjustments on final behavior of blade in the process of machining, problematic of oscillation of blades a mutual interaction among quality of machined surface, noise and dust. The thesis covers the problems of oscillation of circular saw blades as when idling and operating - the cutting process; and by the use of three circular saw blades with different construction modifications. These aforementioned construction measures are also compared to each other due to the implementation of standard construction saw blades not only from the perspective of oscillation, but also from the perspective of the roughness of the machined surface and the analysis of wood waste generated during cutting and noise. In the theoretical part there is an analysis of available literature and scientific theses. It outlines the particular publications devoted to methods of determining the shapes of oscillation, determining critical, resonant and recommended speed, blade constructions, including possible modifications, the theory of cutting saw blades including determining the size and shape of the splints and the effects of noise on the work environment. An important part of this work is methodology involving direct measurements for detection of unstable states of discs (resonance and critical speed. In this section it is further evaluated measuring of the oscillation of the test saw blade and verification of the proposed methodology with a different and practiced, commonly known method, so called cold shapes: The author also seeks to explore and determine the effect of different tooth pitch and method of execution of slots along with soundproofing grooves on noise levels, the resulting quality of the machined surface of various wood. The generated waste is then analyzed for splitting wood particles in particular size group with the percentage of each chip. The results of the experiment are in discussion confronted with the available scientific theses, taking into account with normal operating conditions, of which the conclusion is drawn.
Grinding of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V ELI
Chalupa, Adam ; Dvořáková, Jana (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on titanium alloys. The first part covers the properties and practical uses of titanium alloys whilst the second part describes the issue of machining titanium alloys. In particular, the specific advantages and disadvantages of grinding titanium alloys. As part of the practical undertaking of this thesis, a titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V ELI was ground, for which I measured the achieved surface quality and the forces occurring during grinding.
Povrchové úpravy zahradních dřevěných altánků a pergol lazurovacími nátěrovými hmotami
Vaněk, Vladimír
Abstract English Name: Vladimír Vaněk The name of the Bachelor's thesis: Surface treatment of wooden garden gazebos and summerhouses stains coatings. This thesis is focused on the monitoring of changes in the quality of the surface treatment of wood wooden gazebos and summerhouses. The aim of this work was to verify the physico-mechanical properties of components that are exposed during the period of exposure to the outdoors and are intended for the manufacture of wooden gazebos and summerhouses. In the theoretical part we deal with the current trend of completion of timber products, including factors that affect the properties of the completed surface. The practical part is focused on the change in the quality of the surface finish of parts. Massive spruce wood (Picea abies) was chosen as background material, which was modified in shape, surface refacing and then impregnated. Spruce parts were divided into two halves, each half of which has been treated with different stain. One half was treated with a thin-film layer stain and the other half thick-film layer stain. After completing the finishes were all test samples exposed to the exterior. The aim of the Bachelor thesis in the experimental part of the change was to compare the quality of the surface in the course of one calendar year. The results are based on practical measurement of test samples. Measurement at the Institute of furniture, design and housing of Mendel University in Brno, where the measured color, hardness, gloss and surface roughness. Keywords: coating, staining, surface quality, color, hardness, gloss and surface roughness
Kvalita povrchu při frézování dřeva a použitelnost pro nanášení nátěrových hmot
Lysáček, Pavel
The thesis evaluates the surface quality during 6000 and 9000 revolutions of shaft per minute. There were used feed rates of the workpiece from 10 to 40 m/min, there were chosen feed rates 10 and 20 m/min for applying the painting matter and for detailed research. Two instruments with different methods of surface evaluation were used for assessing the surface quality. Roughness tester Mitutoyo SJ - 201 P represents contact measurement and Talysurf CLI 1000 is for the contactless measurement. Both of these instruments were used before and after applying the water-based painting matter in the factory of joynery production.
Kvalita povrchu při broušení tepelně zpracovaného dřeva ThermoWood®
Vrzal, Jan
This work is focused on evaluation of the surface quality of hydrothermally modified Thermowood® after sanding. Surface quality of the sanded material is evaluated according to the applied changes of cutting conditions. For comparison, this measurement is also done on pine wood. Surface roughness evaluation was performed using the KEYENCE device. The measured data were further evaluated using Microsoft Excel. Optimal conditions were chosen from the evaluated data.
Kvalita povrchu dřeva při frézování tloušťkovací frézkou
Buťa, Jiří
This work, done as an experiment, deals with assesment of wood surface quality while machining, specificely with thickness planer. The theoretical part of this work deals mostly with planing process in general, planer categories and tools used. Also, the geometry of cutting edge is mentioned. The process of blunting is described as it´s one of causes of imperfect surface, too. Aim of this work is to compare wood surface quality for various feed speeds of the thickness planer. The experiment is performed with beech wood. The quality of the surface is rated through contact and contactless method using device Taylor Hobson – Talysurf CLI 1000. Outcomes of both methodes are compared.
Vliv přípravy povrchu na kvalitu transparentní povrchové úpravy
Kovařík, Radek
Bachelor thesis deals with the preparation of given surface based on solid wood, agglomerated materials, mainly wood veneer surfaces and their impact on the quality of the surface finish by various types of finishing such as grinding, sanding, brushing, pee-ler finishing, pad scourer finishing, abrasive pad finishing. The aim was to deal with the issue of influence of surface preparation on the properties of surface treatments. Furthermore, the determination of the effect of these processes on the quality of the transparent surface finish with a lacquer finish, a polyurethane finish coat. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to determine the influence of surface preparation on the surface roughness preparatory to final coat. Surface quality was gauged by the SJ-201 roughness gauge. As a representative woody plant was chosen oak, due to its enlargement.
