The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation and comparison of selected reprodu ctive indicators between two breeds of dwarf rabbits. The beginning of the literary part is devoted to the origin, domestication and history of rabbit breeding not only in the Czech Republic. In the next section, the standards of the dwarf white sanded rabbit and the wildly colored dwarf rabbit, including their origin , are presented and describe. The second half of the literature is focused on the reproduction of rabbits. The conc lusion of the literature section summarizes the most common pathological conditions and behavioral disorders in reproduction. In the practical part is the comparison of selected reproductive indicators between two dwarf breeds of rabbits.
Postnatální změny ledvin králíka
ROČEŇOVÁ, Adéla
The kidneys are the main excretory organ that completes morphological and functional development in a species-different postnatal period of an individual's life. This bachelor thesis dealt with morphometric and histological changes in the kidneys of rabbits. The study included 42 New Zealand white rabbits at the age of 0, 5, 10, 14, 19, 27, 32 days. During this period, the length, width and weight of the kidneys and histological changes were determined, and at the age of 14, 19, 27, 32 days also the length, width, area and number of renal corpusles. In newborn rabbits, the average kidneys length was 9.75+-0.66 mm and the width was 5.88+-0.78 mm. Over 32 days, length increased by 117.44% (21.2+-1.71 mm) and width by 144.90 % (14.4+-1.61 mm). The most significant increase in kidneys length and width occurred in the first 19 days of life (length 110.26 %, width 144.56 %). The average kidneys weight of the newborn rabbit was 0.25+-0.03 g and 2.40+-0.83 g on day 32. A nephrogenic zone and nephrons type I and II were observed in the kidneys up to 10 days of age. By day 19, nephrons type III were present. The onset of marrow differentiation into inner and outer zones was noted at 10 days and at 14 days the zones were fully distinguishable. In 14-day-old individuals, the average length of renal corpusles was 55.10+-6.32 um, width 67.51+-8.91 um and area 3125.25+-778.99 um2. In 32 days, the length reached 76.90+-6.26 um, the width 93.96+-6.10 um and the area 5963.06+-851.05 um2. High correlation coefficients ranging from 0.886 to 0.972 were found between body weight and renal morphometric parameters. High correlation coefficients were found also between the weight of the kidneys and the morphometric parameters of the renal corpuscles. A negative coefficient was found between the area and the number of renal corpuscles (rxy = -0.997).
Methods and consequences of some neurosurgical interventions in animal model and in human clinic. Pinealectomy and intracerebroventricular application.

Clinical surgical techniques of pinealectomy and intracerebroventricular (i.c.v) cannulation are still used in the clinic in indicated cases. In research, there is an effort to replace these classical surgical techniques by other means. However, these various new models often do not reflect the complexity of the functions taking place in the living organism as a whole. The thesis shows that these surgical techniques should be also a part of biomedical research in the future, as they still bring new important information. In the experiment, the pinealectomy can serve as a model of resection or depletion (removal of natural hormone secretion), while i.c.v. application of the active substance to the ventricles on the contrary as a model of addition or substitution. The practical part of the thesis is divided into 4 areas: A) pinealectomy - an animal models, B) pinealectomy - in the experiment, C) pinealectomy - in the clinical practice and D) intracerebroventricular application - in the experiment. The work describes in detail the surgical techniques and discuss possible consequences of pinealectomy in 6 animal species (and their comparison) and in humans. It also includes an experiment with pinealectomy in a rat and a clinical study in patients with pineal cyst and subsequent pinealectomy. The work...
Vliv ročního období na intenzitu růstu králíků
Juránková, Petra
The main of my diploma thesis was to analyze the growth abilities of the hybrids (Kal x Nč) in the interest of the small breed. I compared the growth rate of rabbits. Collecting input data from a total od 8 litters, I sumamarized in MS Excel. To asses the development of live weight, rabbits were weighted and measured at regular 7 day intervals from the age of to the 91 st day od age. In the observed breed, males had higher growth capacity than females over the same reference period. The difference was not significant. Higher growth capabilities were in the summer.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is nutrition and feeding for individual ages of rabbits bred in Czech republic. The first part of work is based on general characteristic of rabbit, its origin, zoological classification and World and Czech history. The next part is focused to digestive tract and digestion of nutriment. The other parts describe particular nutrition and feed. There are mentioned general feed for rabbits, feeding technique and specific feeding for individual ages of rabbits. The second part is focused to experiment based on influence of nutrition and feeding to liveweight gains in home breeding.
Vliv probiotik na zdravotní stav králíků
Matoušková, Anna
This bachelor thesis summarizes knowledge about probiotics and their effect in animal organism with focus on rabbits. In recent years probiotic microorganisms have been increasingly used in livestock and breeding pet animals. They are mainly used as feed additives to prevent, improve the immune system, treat diarrhea, and improve overall health. The next part of the thesis defines the concept of health, describes the physiology of the gastrointestinal tract of the rabbit and focuses on the natural microflo-ra of the internal environment of the digestive system. The main task is to focus on the influence of probiotic microorganisms on maintaining and improving the ideal health of rabbits, their action and interaction with beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms natu-rally contained in the gastrointestinal tract. At the end of the thesis there are listed forms and applications of probiotic preparations, as well as a list of some products used in rab-bit nutrition.

This bachelor thesis on the topic of Nutrition and feeding of rabbits of medium-sized breeds in homebreeding, states in the introduction general information about rabbits. At first it focuses on their zoological classification, then their origin and domestication and also the importance of their breeding. Then there are charactized a few medium-sized breeds, which are the most favourite and most often breed in homebreedings. In the following sections is described the digestive system of rabbits. At first from the anatomical view and then from physiological view that describes their own digestion and resorption of nutrients. The main part of this thesis is focused on nutrition and feeding. At first there is a mention about classification of feed with characteristics of basic nutrients. Then there are described feed which are suitable for feeding rabbits in the homebreedings. The final experimental part is focused on growth ability of rabbits depending on the different composition of ration. After the evaluation of this experiment we can conclude that rabbits who are feeding by complete feed mixtuere grow better and faster than rabbits who are feeding by traditional feed.

In my Bachelor Thesis on the Evaluation of reproductive characteristics of selected bre-ed of rabbits I have dealt with the origin, history and domestication of the domestic rabbit. I described the beginnings of its breeding in the Czech republic and also focused on the history of the dwarf rabbit. I analyzed the anatomy of the domestic rabbit and I focused on its reproductive properties. I have been involved in the rearing and puting aside of the offsprings. In the research part i evaluated the reproductive properties of dwarf teddy rabit and its crossbreeds. It was found that the average pregnancy lengh of all females was 31 days and on average one litter was born 3,65 offsprings and 3 of them were puted aside. Their total mortality was 27,4 %. The percentage ratio between the sexes was almost 50:50. The average weight of one offspring of all litters was 181 grams and the weight of the individual offsprings varies according to their letter count. Which were more off-springs in the litter that they average weight was lower.
