Aquaria Production Bukovany
Vybíralová, Martina ; Štikar, Jaroslav (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to create a new building for aquarium production in Bukovany near Kyjov. The project is based on a previously elaborated study under the subject AG033 – Architecture design studio III. - Production buildings. The assigned plot is located in the outskirts of village, in the sloping area with an elevation of approximately 8 meters on the outskirts of the village. The land area is 4 369 m2. The basic idea of this project is simple cubic forms, complemented by a gable roof with a slope ranging between 30o-45o. Each cubic form contains a different function (showroom, administration, production). The building with this shape of the roof to tries to approximate the typical rural architecture, which is used in the village. This type of roof is also used above the production and storage areas, in the form of skylights. The building is designed as a monolith, which will be based on the foundation strips. The piles of 200 mm diameter will be used to underpin the perimeter walls, where these wall will be in contact with the ground. The ceilings will be also monolithic, in the form of slabs, which will be fixed into vertical load-bearing walls. The building will be roofed by a combination of flat and sloping roof. The main materials are glass and metal, which symbolize production. There is also wood that occurs in the area. These materials appear not only in the exterior, but are also used in the interior. The design uses lighter colors in contrast to dark gray.
Vancouver - Affordable Housing Challenge
Pleštilová, Tereza ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this work was the preparation of project documentation consisting of the building permit documentation, documentation for the execution of the construction and the design of the architectural detail. The Bachelor thesis is based on the architectural study developed as a part of the course AG035studio work. The main idea behind social housing in Vancouver is to create affordable housing primarily for young people, whether individuals, couples, or families. The goal of the new housing design is to maximize the use of unbuilt and especially ballast plots near the city centre, attractive to the young generation that is lacking in Vancouver downtown. This need corresponds with the site plan which is derived from a maple leaf, the symbol of Canada, stylized into a pentagon. Addition of right angles creates a landform of variable use that can be easily placed on vacant lots even of irregular shapes. The proposed complex of three apartment buildings is located in the city of Vancouver, Canada, in a local neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant. The subject site is located south of the city centre and the site is easily accessible due to the well-developed public transportation and frequently used bicycle network. The proposal addresses both the building and the connection to the adjacent neighborhood. A total of three buildings of varying heights are proposed. The lowest is five storey and the heights escalate to the tallest seven storey building. The taller buildings stand on corners and visually exposed locations. There are four residential units proposed on each storey of the residential buildings, with the exception of the first storey offering rentable spaces. In total, sixty residential units are proposed, fifteen of which are of the 3+kitchen corner type and the other forty-five of the 1+kitchen corner type. The project documentation of the Bachelor's thesis deals with the apartment building A located in the north of the site.
Design odpočinkového sedacího prvku
Blahunková, Petra
The diploma thesis focuses on the design of a seat furniture element. It is divided into two parts. The first one takes a closer look at history, ergonomy, safety requirements, material usage and technologies used in the manufacturing process that are related to a final draft. The second part describes creation and manufactury progress from an original inspiration itself trough first drafts via 3D visualizations in Autodesk 3ds Max software up to the final production of the prototype scaled 1:1. The thesis also includes price calculations along with drawing documentation for a complete production process.
Master thesis
AMBROŽOVÁ, Anna
The aim of this master thesis is to design such products, for a primary-school subject called "Technical education", in the area of manual metalworking, so students can get familiar with various methodological procedures. Making of these products should be meaningful and simultaneously, students should enjoy the creative process. In the theoretical part, I focused on the educational area called "Člověk a svět práce", and on the educational programme of work with technical material at primary school. I also included the basics of metals and their properties. The inseparable part of my thesis is the summary of occupational safety and hygiene in the school workroom. My thesis also involves reading of technical drawings and methods of manual metalworking. This part is written with the help of specialised literature. For the practical part, I choose five products which I described and tried to make them by myself. In this part, I created questionnaires where I followed up on these products and sent them to teachers and students. One questionnaire is for pupils of "Základní škola Týn nad Vltavou, Malá Strana". Sixty-two respondents answered ten questions. The second questionnaire is for teachers who work at primary schools in South Bohemia. The teachers answered twelve questions.
Thin film systems
Rada, Vojtěch ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the problematics of thin-film technology. In the beginning the work deals with a general theory of this problematics, discusses various methods and ways to lay a thin film, where more emphasis is placed on magnetron sputtering, which is used in the practical part of the work, and describes procedures that are performed before and after the application of the thin film. The magnetron sputtering coating machine NP-12 and its control are described in the practical part of the work. Subsequently the selection and adjustment of suitable substrates is made, the thin-film system is deposited using the magnetron sputtering method and the analysis of the properties of deposited thin-film samples is done.
Fabrication of metal nanoclusters and their characterization
Kratochvíl, Jiří ; Kylián, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kousal, Jaroslav (referee)
Copper nanoclusters have potencial for fabrication of nanostructured surfaces, which can be used in electronics, electrotechnics, optics and in biomedical applications. To create such surfaces, it is necessary to create and characterize the nanoclusters deeply first and this is the main topic of this work. First, we found repeatable procedure to create copper nanoclusters by the gas aggregation nanocluster source. We studied homogenity of prepared surfaces by quartz crystal microbalance and optical ellipsometry, we determined conditions for deposition of homogeneous coatings. Next, we studied deposition rate in dependence on the magnetron current, pressure in the aggregation and deposition chambers. Deposition rate linearly increased with current, but in low currents it was nearly zero. Furthermore, we found maximum deposition rate for a given pressure in the aggregation chamber and determined the range of pressure in deposition chamber where it is possible to deposit thin films of copper nanoclusters. This is important for fabrication of nanocomposite surfaces. We studied also the size, shape of nanoclusters and growth of surface by scanning electron microscope. The surfaces were very porous. We measured roughness and optical absorbance where anomalous optical absorption was found. Finally, we found that...
