Trličík, Jakub ; Čejka, Miloslav (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the S/PDIF digital signal processing from interferometer Polytec OFV-5000, by measurement application created in LabVIEW. This paper describes the theory of laser vibration measurement and encoding S/PDIF digital signal. Text also introduces a Polytec system for vibration measurement and system for data acquisition by National Instruments. The following is a description of the created measurement application, divided into three parts: decoding an S/PDIF, acquisition and display of digital data and acquisition and display of analog data to compare with digital output. In the last part of the thesis are presented the results of comparing analog and digital output, and an evaluation of the achieved results.

Location of vibration around the optical fiber
Dorazin, David ; Urban, František (referee) ; Čučka, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis solves possibilities of utilization optical fiber as sensor. At the beginning, basic division of this sensors is desribed, their principles and usage. Then the thesis is focused on distributed sensors based on the interference of the light, interferometers. This optic fiber interferometers are described, mainly their modifications for detection and localization of vibrations along optical fiber. Significant part of the thesis deals with dual Mach--Zehnder interferometer. This interferometer is theoreticaly desribed and simulated in Matlab. Further the thesis deals with development of two aplication in Matlab software. One application is for simulation and theoretical computation of dual Mach--Zehnder interferometer. Second application serves for signal processing of acquired data that are measured on this interferometer. At the end of the thesis, dual Mach--Zehnder interferometer is designed and build in laboratory enviroment and executed measurement and localization of vibrations using this interferometer.
Leakage of information through existing fibre optic infrastructures inside buildings
Kyselova, Yuliia ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of detecting acoustic and mechanical vibrations through existing optical data infrastructures inside buildings. The work includes a description about optical fiber and a theoretical analysis of the possibilities of implementing data distribution inside buildings, it also includes an analysis of methods for implementing optical fiber microphones. In the practical part of the work, the measurement was performed with an optical fiber microphone and then using an interferometer and a sensor based on the polarization method.
Design of Compact Spectrometer
Górová, Simona ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Fridrichová, Eva (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is a design of table FTIR spectrometer which can be used for nowadays analytical techniques, whereas it allows to analyse samples of larger size. Moreover, an added value is a combination of two analytical methods which are placed together with a camera from bellow of the device. It makes the device usable, not only for contemporary target workplaces (laboratories, research centers…) but also in galleries and other art institutions. Default step for this work was a market research, studying of inner components and functions od spectrometers and user requirements.
Utilization and Suppression of Birefringence Phenomena in Optical Fiber Sensory Applications
Motúz, Rastislav ; Hudcová, Lucie (referee) ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with integral and distributed optical fiber sensors of electric current. In the area of integral sensors the analysis is performed by Jones matrix calculus and the simultaneous influence of induced circular and undesired linear birefringence using an ortho-conjugation retroreflector. Furthermore, the proposed conjugation loop variant using half-wave phase retarders is analyzed. The theoretical conclusions are confirmed by simulation and experimental measurement. In the field of distributed fiber optic sensors, analysis and simulation for the detection of plasma currents in thermonuclear fusion reactors, based on the POTDR technique, is performed. An improvement procedure is proposed for circular-shaped vacuum vessel reactors. Plasma current detection procedure in divertor-type reactors have been newly designed and simulated to investigate the effect of the OTDR detector noise on plasma current detection accuracy.
