I used a quality research strategy for my thesis. The research was conducted in the sommer months of 2020 in six field hospices in the South Bohemian region. I used the technique of the semi-structured interview to map and collect the necessary information. I chose the open coding method to evaluate the data. As a result I got the conclusion that the addressed social workers in the field hospice care hold many functions. They are in charge of admissions agenda including examination in the patient´s natural enviroment. They support the caring family and the sick client, provide basic, professional and psychosocial counselling. They also focus on informing the users of the service. A social worker holds following functions: administrative worker, mediator, supporter, controller, educator.
The motivation of employees in hospice care
PUDIVÍTROVÁ, Tereza
The bachelor thesis deals with the motivation of workers of helping professions, represented in the hospice, to perform the work. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter decribes motivation and motives. The second chapter describes the meaning of life, along with values, attitudes and goals. Third chapter focuses on the hospice and the multidisciplinary team. In the practical part there is one chapter that represents research. In the fourth chapter, the last chapter, I try to interpret the information that I have obtained through semi structured interviews with open questions with individual members of the multidisciplinary team. I focus on the motives that led direct care workers to choose hospice work. I also examine the views of workers on the meaning of life and possible changes in attitudes in personal life after the experience of working in a hospice facility.

The job of a nurse in hospice care.
HERZOGOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis deals with hospice care and focuses on the work of a nurse in the field of hospice care. Hospice care is a comprehensive form of health, psychological and social care that is provided to all patients who suffer from an incurable disease or are in the terminal stage of the disease. Hospice care is closely related to palliative care, which focuses primarily on improving patients' lives and relieving pain. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to map the work of a nurse in the field of hospice care. The empirical part of the bachelor thesis was processed using a qualitative research survey. A semi-structured interview was chosen for the data collection technique. Interviews were conducted with nurses working in hospice facilities throughout the Czech Republic. The interviews revealed that working in a hospice facility is mentally and physically demanding for the nurses, because the hospices lack enough staff to provide quality care and staff. It turned out that doctors often delegate their work to nurses. The most frequently delegated work is the handling of the patient's estate, which is not within the competence of the nurse. Most nurses working in hospice facilities devote all their efforts to work and forget about their personal lives. Most nurses would not recommend working in a hospice facility to other nurses due to financial dissatisfaction and the complexity of this work. The achieved results of the qualitative research survey can serve as a study basis for students of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia and can also help nurses who decide to choose a profession in a hospice facility.
Age, Aging and Dying of People with Intellectual Disabilities
KLUZÁKOVÁ, Kristýna
In my bachelor thesis I deal with the issue of palliative care and intellectual disabilities. The aim of the work is to find out what experience palliative care workers have with people with mental disabilities and how they approach these clients. A partial goal of my bachelor's thesis is to find out how hospice service workers manage the psychological burden associated with their profession. The work is structured into two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part of the work in the first chapter I deal with the concepts of palliative and hospice care, it also contains the definition of concepts such as death, dying or human dignity. In the second chapter I describe mental disabilities and give its classification. In the last third chapter of the theoretical part of the work I deal with the issue of palliative care and intellectual disability. The practical part contains the stated goal of the research survey, methodology of re-search work and research questions. Qualitative research was chosen and the method of data collection is a semi-structured interview. A research file is also described here. Interpretation of qualitative data follows and research questions are answered. The research points to the small experience of palliative care workers with people with mental disabilities and the approach of hospice staff to clients with mental disabilities, which is mostly positive, but due to their insufficient readiness for clients with mental disabilities, work with these clients is problematic. The theoretical part of the work can be used by students of pedagogical or social disci-plines. The practical part of the work will inform about the possibilities of people with mental disabilities to use the hospice service.
