Influence of the Measured Contact Cone Shape Deflections of the Hip Joint Endoprosthesis on the Stress and Reliability Values
Fuis, Vladimír ; Hlavoň, Pavel
The paper presents the results of the computational modelling of the stress states in the ceramic head of the hip joint endoprosthesis. IMS UMPIRE measures 3D shape deflections of the contact cone areas. These measured values were implemented to FEM model. The stress and reliability analyses follow. The values of maximum tensile stresses in the head and head's fracture probability curves create dispersion for random head putting on the stem cone.
Modelling of the oblique loading on the ceramic head of hip joint endoprosthesis
Fuis, Vladimír
The paper presents the problems with the computational modelling of the stress and reliability of the obliquely loaded ceramic head of the hip joint endoprosthesis. The first part is analyse the input parameters and then the analyse of the results of the computational modeling is realized.
Analysis of the measured production inaccuracies of the contact areas of the hip joint endoprosthesis parts
Fuis, Vladimír
In one hospital of the Czech Republic, more than 1 % of applied endoprostheses had to be reoperated. That is why the state of stress and the reliability of ceramic heads of total endoprosthesis is being intensively analysed by means of computational modelling. The production inaccuracies of the cone contact joint of the head and the stem is measured on the 3D device. Measured values are input to the computational modelling of the head stress analysis.
Analysis of the stress and reability of the ceramic head under oblique load
Fuis, Vladimír
The problem of the stress states in the ceramic head of hip joint endoprosthesis under the oblique loading and it's reliability is very important today, because there had occurred the destruction of the ceramic head among a non-negligible number of patients.
Stress analysis in ceramic head of the hip joint endoprosthesis under oblique load
Fuis, Vladimír
The paper presents the results of the analysis of the oblique loading on the maxinmal tensile stress in the ceramic head.
Stress analysis in ceramic head of the hip joint endoprosthesis under oblique load
Fuis, Vladimír
Problem of the stress in the ceramic head of hip joint endoprosthesis pressed on the stem under oblique loading is solved in this paper. Oblique loading simulated the physiologi-cal conditions in vivo. The axis-symmetric production inaccuracies (deflection of nominal degree of taper) of the head - stem conical joint are considered. Computational modelling is realized by FEM - system ANSYS.
Experiences of the production inaccuracies measuring on the contact areas of the hip joint endoprosthesis stem and the head and its modelling
Fuis, Vladimír ; Hlavoň, P.
The paper presents the experiences of the mesuaring and modelling of the production inaccuracies of the cone contact junction of the stem and the head of the hip joint endoprosthesis.
Stress analysis of the oblique loaded hip joint endoprostehsis head with consideration of the axisymmetric production inaccuracies
Fuis, Vladimír
The paper presents the results of the oblique loaded ceramic head of the hip joint endoprosthesis. The aim is approching to the physiological loading.
Analysis of real production inaccuracies on the contact cone joint of head and stem
Fuis, Vladimír
Ceramic head reliability evaluation is significantly influenced by the factors that can allow increasing of the ten-sile stress in analysed body. Previous study eventuates that the production inaccuracies of contact cone joint of the head and the stem can significantly increase the tensile stress and decrease the reliability of whole implant. Paper deals with the problem of measuring real cone shape deflections on the different measuring devices.
Stress analysis of hip joint endoprosthesis ceramic head under oblique load
Fuis, Vladimír ; Ochranová, M.
The paper presents the experiences with the analysis of the oblique load of the hip joint ceramic head pressed onto the tested stem. The system FEM - ANSYS was used for the computational modelling of the stress and deformation of the analysed system. maximum tensile stresses in the head without the production inaccuracies of the contact areas are for the ISO 7206-5 loading.
