Production of gears by hobbing
Ivánek, Radim ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this study is to compare the manufacturing costs and times of a gear hobbing process. The theoretical part of the thesis is aimed to describe the gears hobbing manufacturing process, their characteristics and this way used processing materials. The practical part of the thesis is comparing the manufacturing gear hobbing costs and machining times using high-speed steel tools to sintered carbides tools in line manufacturing. This study evaluates and rationalizes all the found and calculated data.
High speed steel milling cutters made by powder matallurgy
Svoboda, Martin ; Sámelová, Vendula (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is a research work describing milling cutters made of high speed steel by powder metallurgy (HSS PM milling cutters). In chapters one, two and three are generally described milling, high speed steels and powder metallurgy. In chapter four are introduced particular HSS PM milling cutters of a few producers. The summary contains mechanical properties of cutters and suitability for machining. It is focused on main type of HSS PM cutters, which are the end mills.
Milling of axial groove in rotary turbine
Káčer, Pavel ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this work is comparison of special form tools for manufacture of grooves in rotor turbine. For this purpose tools are chosen from „A“ and „B“ company. Form milling cutters are confronted both in terms of their characteristic features, manufacturing methods, and time and economy intensity. Furthermore, there is described a possible future way of grooves‘ production through the use of the „C“ ‘s programme. Apart from that, this thesis also involves simple programme for comparing the chosen parameters.
HSS milling cutters deposited by nanocomposite coatings
Ludvík, Radek ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with nanocomposite coatings deposited on cutting tools of high speed steel. The paper describes the fundamentals of milling, tools for milling and their division and clamping. Gradually, there are analyzed problems of high speed steels (their classification, marking, properties and uses, chemical composition and heat treatment). Then there is described the main characteristics of coating methods (division of coatings into generations, surface preparation before the coating and PVD and CVD methods). The last part of the thesis focuses on the properties of nanocomposite materials and to companies dealing with their application to the high-speed steel.
Production forming drills and theier use in practice
Narovec, David ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with forming drills, their production and practical use. The forming technology with focus on the heating of the material for forming is described in the first part of the paper. The second part is focused on general drilling. The drilling technology, drilling process and various drill production techniques are covered. The twist drill is described as well and its basic parameters are mentioned. Twist forming drills are examined in the last part of the paper. Material choosing, technological drill forming process, final drill shape testing for its fading and practical utilization. In conclusion a practical study of cleft drill was performed.
