This diploma thesis focus on the funding options of the investment activities of municipalities. This thesis interprets public administration of Slovak republic, funding options of municipalities in Slovakia and grant policy of the European Union and Slovak republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyse a specific project, ways of funding and an offer of suggestion for a possible change of funding.

The bachelor thesis is concerning with the financing of the investment activities of municipalities. In thesis are described the possible sources of financing including the grant programs of the European Union and Czech Republic. Also there is presented the specific construction contract of the municipality and its financing. The aim of the thesis is to analyze this concrete project and its ways of financing.

Financing of construction contracts is one of the most important phases, where aim of every construction company, is to achieve the highest profit, thus ensuring the business. To the financing of construction contracts are used the own and mostly foreign sources. The procurement is linked with using subsidies from the European Union. In the theoretical part of this thesis there are described the basic concepts relating to public contracts pursuant to Act No. 137/2006 Sb. and financing, both in terms of suppliers and contracting authorities and the actual course of implementation. The practical part deals with the financing of specific public construction contract.

This thesis deals with the financing contract from a practical point of view. The aim of this work is to describe the possibilities of financial security building contracts from the perspective of the supplier. In the theoretical part are characterized by basic concepts related to the topic and a practical part of the thesis describes the public works. The practical part of the procurement documents to obtain the tender and subsequent recording contract for work. The example of the practice was described the process of financing construction of the contractor. The work shows a significant difference between planned and actual funding process.

This Bachelor thesis is focused on comparison of the various forms of corporate financing activities and selection of appropriate forms for a particular situation. In the theoretical part are describe the methods of financing such as loans, leasing, bond, factoring, forfaiting, venture capital, project finance, partnerships for research and development limited. Int the practical part is solved the problem of financing concrete company.
